    As always, a very descriptive review that leaves little or no questions to ask. Enjoyable and appreciated. Well done and thank you.

    It was because of your video i bought this setup and LOVE it to bits. I have followed your journey on this setup and used some of your ideas, and of course some of my own. As a Jet Pilot (Virtual) in MSFS, i spend a few hours at a time in this setup, especially when in VATSIM, and Needed ARMS, to rest on, so i have fitted some folding & height adjustable arms that fold out of the way when i get in and out. They work great and make my long flights in this cockpit very comfortable.
    I will look out for your future videos on this setup for MORE idea's on configuration.
    Thank you sir!

      Thanks for this. Were they custom made foldable arms or do they make them too?

    How comfortable is the seat? Is it suitable for long durations? Do you know how this seat itself compares to the other Boeing edition seats (Gray-Commercial and Green-Military) of similar design? Thanks.

    I probably wouldn't have bought this because of the keyboard positioning issue if you hadn't shown a viable solution. Great to see the detail about setup options. Now I just have to wait for everything to be back in stock, since the seat and the version of the triple monitor stand I want are sold out everywhere.

    Do you do full tutorial videos on how to setup those extra monitors, programming, software, and binding and how to get them to work? I am not that savy with that kind of techinical stuff but would love to add those kinds of things.

    @Overkill, same here with the Boeing military seat and I too am 6'1 and center keyboard. Did we meet at FSX24 in Vegas?

    I'm so there with you on the keyboard thing. Currently I use an OpenWheeler rig that I've broken apart and modified the crap out of, using the center wheel plate as a keyboard tray. I removed the seat off it so I could go back to using a normal office chair and not be locked into the rig every time I sit in it. I was tired of the entry and exit process, I'm not a small guy either, 6'4", 260lbs, and yeah, bad back and knees. Getting old.
    This rig (the stand portion) caught my eye because it looks like I might be able to set it up in such a way that I can have all my flight gear, racing gear, and still be able to center mount the keyboard. Looking at pics and videos of it I had come up with a similar solution to what you've done. Failing that, if it ends up not working, mounting a sliding keyboard tray under the top plate so I can tuck the keyboard away when needed.

    I use 3M Dual Lock Velcro for mounting. I can easily swap out my F16 and F15EX throttles and when locked into place they don’t budge. I also use it for my usb hub under the seat(NLR Boeing Military Cockpit) and after dealing with mounting the winwing pedals I probably should have used that to mount them as well. Still trying to figure out how I am going to mount the MIP and keep my center stick. Debating on selling it and building my own but I think I can modify it to work for what I need.

    Hi folk..
    Greetings from Germany.. I bought the nextlevel Flight stand pro after seeing your video and i am happy with it. The seat is not comfortable for me (sixtees) and i prefer my wide seat HP Omen citadel. I see a nice pitch trim in your set up. Is it selfmade or an older one ??thank you

  • @Jack-Wall
    @Jack-Wall ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Use a drawer slide to center mount the keyboard tray so you can move it out of the way when getting in and out. Less turn key as a solution (as I do not believe this is offered generally) of course and if you're not in a position to DIY, this is unlikely possible but worth investigating .... I looked at this and the deal breaker for me was the greater flexibility offered by extruded alu solutions over it.

    G'day, thanks for the video, one thing I'm curious about is what appears to be a large trim wheel mounted on the inner left front, if this is indeed a trim wheel can you give me some details as to its source/availability/brand, as I have been on the lookout for something like that for use as a WWII style set-up. Cheers.

    centermounted keyboard isn't a common thing because lots of people fly VR and center sticks. Most of the time the chat isn't needed as people are on voicecomms. For everything else, I just use another PC.

    Hey there. Your setup look great, and thanks for taking the time to making these videos... I LOVE the magnet idea for mounting your G1000. Are those magnets strong enough that there is no movement when pushing buttons on the PFD? I plan to have both PFD/MFD setup and would like to use the magnets like you. Grateful for any adive.

    Thanks for the review. For me there's simply too many workarounds I would require with their setup.
    I'll probably head down the path of a full on Monstertech solution. Yes it is costly, but it's like anything costly. Buy once, cry once.

    I don't think this setup would work too well for space sim type games like star citizen.
    Star citizen requires fps controlls as well, and an easy way to transistion between flight controls and fps controls.

  • @thomasgodfrey7669
    @thomasgodfrey7669 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've been looking into that or the Boeing seats. I would switch from the Airbus to the Boeing to Thrustmaster HOTAS and thought about magnets to switch out those peripherals. I don't have any touch screens or anything but curious which ones you used. I'm also a bit big so this does help. I have a small computer room so I'm curious of that would fit.

    Hey OverKill,
    Just down the road in NW Indiana here and am doing a similar NLR setup. I have a couple Volair sim panels one with the G1000 and one with the MIP steam gauges. With the separation of the instrumentation based on their location in the panel, I am very interested in the potential to swap out panel utilizing magnets as you have done. I agree with you on the directional magnetism issues and was a great point to bring up. Quick question, do you have a reference to the brand/type of magnets that you've used? Any assistance or kick in the pants in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the candor and honesty in your review(s). Great vid!

      www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0C7M3VCPK?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
      These are the ones I use. I went down to 40lbs for the panels and used 70lbs for throttles and stick
      Now to clarify I used 4 per device. One at each corner
      Hope that helps!

    OK seriously, I have the stand and am very happy with it. I have most of my hardware mounted to it. Totally agree with you on the assembly. The thing is definitely not going to fall apart but dang, a few more thumb screws would make assembly and changes so much easier.
    Definitely will be getting the seat.

    Anyone use this for a GA setup? From what I'm seeing, it doesn't look to conducive to GA (center yoke, throttle/prop/mix levers, Logitech panels), but that could be because he's got a fighter jet setup going.
