I have a golden retriever and it is 100% true that they still act as puppies regardless of their age. Mine is going on 10 years old and she still has plenty of energy, though she takes little breaks when playing. And she definitely makes friends with everyone. 🐶
My parents got me a Golden when I was 6 yo bc we lived in an area where I had few friends. She became my very best friend and lived for 15 years, which is long even for a Golden. We eventually had to put her in the back of my fathers pickup truck and drive to the vet to have her put down as her hips got so bad she could barely walk. My dad drove and I sat in the back with her and fed her a last meal, sausages from like a 12 pack. It was one of the saddest days of my life when the needle went into a vein in her shin and she passed away in my arms. I was 21 at the time but cried like a baby. I can still dream of her sometimes, 20 years later.

You have just described the four golden retrievers that we have kept over the last 30 years. Only one minus, oh boy do they shed hair but that is a tiny price to pay for having a loving, friendly, happy and funny companion.

After 13 years and four months we had to put our golden down from arthritis of the hips. He was the third one we have owned. We have received our fourth golden pup recently,hope we have as much fun with him as Buck ,our third golden. Over the years we have always had a dog around but the goldens have all been wonderful dogs. I was retired during Bucks reign, he was with me constantly everywhere. He loved meeting new people and new animals, never had a enemy his whole life. Always the first to get in the truck to go somewhere. It is always hard to lose your best friend, but Buck was especially hard to see go. REST IN PEACE MY BEST FRIEND BUCK, LOVE YOU,MISS YOU FOREVER BIG FELLOW.

One time when we are about to go to church, our Goldie got inside the car first.. couldn't force her to go out of the car.. so we just bring her to church.

Goldens are the friendliest breed, totally agree. My favorite breed of dog by a mile. Never met one that wasn't awesome. But would have replaced the Beagle and the Boston Terrier with a Bichon and a Maltese.
@Duke Bonde Always exceptions to the rule. The thing with dogs is that usually they give you an indication that they are not "receptive" to an interaction. I've never had a Golden "flip" on me. Can't say the same for pit bulls, which I make a point of avoiding, despite their delusional defenders that insist that there are "no bad dogs, only bad owners". Yeah, sure.
Yesterday I was on a walk and I approached this golden retriever and she layed on her back immediately xD then I kneeled there petting her for a while they are super friendly c:
Thats no good in an attacker situation though. I want a dog to protect my daughter, not roll on its back for tickles as my daughter is being mugged.
I have a retriever named champ and he is so friendly to random people that it’s hilarious. He try’s to know everyone, including people names. Whenever I talk about someone coming over, his ears will go right up since he recognizes their names.

My Golden didn’t bark at all for his first year…we always said he would graciously show a burglar where the valuables are! He had a seizure once and licked me throughout the whole thing…angels in fur!
My sister’s family have a golden retriever. First time i met him, it felt like we’re best buds already. Very adorable and friendly. Chews everything though, lol.

Shih Tzu should be on the list. My dog and my sister's dog. This breed is very friendly to strangers, kids other dogs and cats. They are loyal, intelligent and intuitive.
@Adrian Perez Mendez I don't know too many Shih Tzus but those I know are friendly. My dog is too friendly. He comes up to everyone to be patted or to play. And i did not train my dog too much.

@@milamirasol5412 Ogi is the first dog i have owned and I love the breed. O have a beauty salon at home and he is friendly to all my clients. He is super friendly, playful and affectionate.
My Shih Tzu bites us and anyone else who tries to touch him. His bites are severe. I even bought a sign that I attached to his harness that says do not pet. He has such a sweet, adorable face that strangers are always trying to pet him. He can be affectionate with us on his terms. But he transforms from Benji to Kujo unpredictably. We love him, in spite of it. He was a rescue who originally came from a pet shop. I believe he resulted from poor breeding at a puppy mill.

I've had Norwegian Elkhounds for many years, and have found them to be the most versatile and the friendliest dogs ever.

Absolutely LOVE your description of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel! So many people think they are buying a cute lapdog only to discover they bought a pocket-rocket. Yes they are loveable, easy-going and fun. But they are also game dogs bred to flush game birds out of hedgerows for hunting. They are particularly good in swampy Wetlands due to the fur grows between their toes. Don't be fooled....you are not buying a docile beanbag when you take on one of these guys!
The best two dogs I've ever had were a lab and a mini poodle. Amazing creatures. I'd love to have a goldie in the future.
Our Golden Retriever is indeed the friendliest dog ever. I've absolutely never ever seen him do anything but wag his tail and go investigate every human he's ever seen. Ours may be a bit unusual because he only barks once a year if that and then only when he sees something out of place like when on his walks he sees halloween decorations on lawns when they're normally not there. Even then it's a very muffled little "woof". He's nearly 10 years old now, and we hope to have him for years to come.
I work with dogs and I can say that I have never met a Golden or a Lab that I didn't like -- they were all very friendly. I also have owned Border Collies and they are awesome.

I’ve had the pleasure of owning two Goldens over the last 20 years. They are sweet, fun, friendly, affectionate, good natured, gentle, easy going, happy go lucky, patient dogs that adore people, get along with other animals and love life. They are the ONLY breed for me. ❤️🐕

Got a brother & sister poodle from the same litter. Zack got brain 🧠 cancer & had to be euthanized at 11.5 yrs old 😢😭😢; I belonged to him & he was my absolute favorite dog. His sister Zoey turned 16 this past January; she was half his size (think he was abnormally large @ 22 lbs for a ‘toy poodle’); she is failing but still a very good girl. 🐩 They are incredibly SMART; Zack was almost human!

Got a Yorkshire Terrier (Terrorist). Love her to bits. Terrorises me at 4am for cuddles and possible loo. My best mate since loosing my wife 7 years ago with cancer. She, the dog simply loves people, and very friendly. Even helped 2 or 3 young children get over their fear of dogs. I would not want to be without my small dog now. When a walk gets muddy, I just carry her through the mud.

My ex's family found a stray Samoyed. I've yet to meet a sweeter/calmer dog. From the moment you walk in, hes by your side. If you're sitting, his heads going right on your lap waiting for affection. Knowing what I know now about dogs and their needs, it kills me to realize that he was abused by them more so from lack of attention.
Yay beautiful golden retriever. Indeed the most friendliest and cool dog. This dog kisses hands of visitors even passerbys. And they don't attack. This dog always wanted to be cuddled, touched and loved.

Couldn't disagree with any of the breeds on this list. Glad to see the Border Collie included as this was my 1st ever dog and I've never been without one since. To say they're loyal and loving would be an understatement. As a proud Irish man I was also glad to see the Irish setter make the list. They are a super friendly breed with stunning good looks.
my dads all for getting a Irish Setter, but my mom keeps saying no and you might think I'm exaggerating but she's getting to a point where she's just being rude about it :(
If he works all the time or has a habit of getting excited about stuff and then later leaving the dirty work to her, it would be an unwanted gift to your mom. Maybe she hopes to travel.

The first two dogs I remember were my Auntie's Poodles - Babe and Sindy. They were mother and daughter. They were miniature Poodles and both were extremely well behaved and gentle. They were also the first dogs I knew that were spayed as Babe had a difficult time giving birth. I think she had to have a caesarian section but I was only about 3 at the time and found out about this later. My Auntie said she'd never breed either of her dogs after that. Babe lived to 16 and Sindy to 18. They were very well trained and could do a lot of tricks.
The only dog I've been bitten by was a Labrador. She savaged my arm. Lucky for me it was winter and I had a thick coat on but it still left bruises on my arm. I was around 10 at the time and she was my friend's dog. A few years later she turned on my friend's father and did serious damage to his hand resulting in him having to undergo extensive surgery and physiotherapy. She had to be PTS. She was a guide dog reject and the vet said he thought she had been closely inbred which resulted in neurological problems that made her unpredictable and turn vicious.
My top of the list is the German Shepherd. I have had 3 of them. The first when my son was only a baby. Tara was so gentle with him - but also protective of both my kids. She was 15 years old when we finally lost her to old age. We adopted her from a rescue. She was in rescue through no fault of her own. Her owners had split up and neither could take her but she came to us very well trained. I've had 2 German Shepherds since. Sadly we lost one, Sadie to cancer and my last German Shepherd (also a rescue) we lost 2 years ago to old age. He was approx. 14 and also a rescue. He was the softest, most loving dog you could imagine but protective of his family. A gentle soul who even the youngest child could walk up to in the street and pet and he would just stand there wagging his tail. I miss all my dogs but I miss Buddy the most. He lived up to his name. He was my best buddy. Never a day goes by that I don't think of him and wish he was still here.

My parents had a black Labrador retriever that had gotten from a friend of mine years ago. He was very sweet and friendly dog. They gotten another dog shortly after he got put down. My mother gotten a Bichon Frise puppy in mid October 2009. He is a big sweetie and very playful. He is now my sister’s little doggie. He has 2 cats friends,too. The little dog is still cute looking in his old age of 12 years old going on 13 years old in late July. That Bichon was born on my 39th birthday which was pretty cool at that time.
My dogs are pretty hyper though my oldest is 8/12

Have 4 golden retrievers. They are wonderful loving and are helpful if I lose my balance. Also a bit protective, but are not guard dogs. One of our previous retrievers would not leave my side if I had a bad day (have multiple sclerosis). He would also go to my half sister if she was going to have a fit (epilepsy). He wasn't trained to do this, he just knew. We have had golden retrievers for just over 30 years. Love them

How the hell did Huskies not make the list? I got pinned down by a random stranger’s husky who was off the leash, and instead of attacking me since I ran off, it started licking my face. They’re literally the most friendly dogs I’ve ever encountered

@@mjcats2011 My boxer, Pedro was incredible. At the ripe age of 14 (me) I could walk with him, without a leash, in the center of Helsinki. Still remember it although it’s a million years ago😁.

Yes my family has a Maltese and friendly giant Rotty and these two dogs love each other. The Maltese follows our Rotty everywhere never lets her have any alone time hahahaha we love the both

He died because he saved our life we love in middle of a forest and there are often snakes he killed a king cobra...

I like this version of the video, but I miss the old version called “Top 10 Friendliest Dog Breeds” and it was released years ago and just so you guys remember it, it had the song called Hero and the song was made by Dawns, so search up “Dawns - Hero” and you will find it. Yes, they can be not so friendly towards strangers but for known faces they serve as an ideal companion

@Just Rebecca That is very true. Had a flatcoat/border collie mix, for 13 years. It was the kindest, loving dog i have ever had or meet in my 35 years, she was a wild one though for atleast her 8 first years, a houdini i would say. The rottweilers, specially the last one was such a gentle, loved everyone, humans or animals. Friends with everyone. Nicer then many golden, labrador and other breeds i have meet.
While any dog can be friendly, what you are doing is just encouraging bad owners to have dogs that are more difficult to own. Like for instance, having a Fila Brasileiro as a 1st time owner is a recipe for a disaster. So stop saying such things, breed matters alot, we built them to satisfy our needs.

My Border Collie is really friendly with everyone, even to strangers😫. On the other hand, my Aussie is only friendly to close family members and friends. It takes him quite sometime to accept neighbors but those he decided to hate on day one, you can’t change his mind.
My Aussie loves EVERYONE! She thinks All visitors have come to see her.
My border collie bit the tree guy when he jumped out of the truck unannounced. Not too bad, but she drew blood.
My BC was very friendly, he was home inside when our house was broken into. They took stuff, left him alive and ok and a little blood.
Cushings disease took him, miss him.
My Aussie is like that. If you are a blond woman, you're out of luck. I suspect a problem from before I got her at about a year old. Other than that, she's a little slow to warm up to strangers, but when she does, you're part of the pack for life!
