My Step Dad is a Vietnam Vet who had direct exposure to agent orange during the war,and is currently at 90%. At almost 80years old they are still asking him to prove he can not be employed,ridiculious to me.almost 80,served 35 years in Air Force,has Been diognosed with Agent Orange for over 20 years.Had Heart Attack,Diabietes,nerophathy and various other illness do directly to Agent Orange.Can you help him out so he can finally get what do to him,and has been fighting for Va for Over 20 plus years!

I've was VA rated at 90% 18+ years ago (after serving 24 years and retiring). I haven't been able to work for about 8 years now. I was also put at 100% disabled by SSA over 5 years ago but....I've had 2 VA doctors and one VA tech tell me that I should just leave it alone because they could take my benefits away! It's definitely not like I'm getting better or getting younger!
My father is currently service connected at 60%....as of Aug 2020. Claim was initially filed in 1999, and again in 2006 for sleep apnea/narcolepsy. Decision to deny came down on 27th of Dec 2006 and on the same day his VSO from AMVETS sent him a letter indicating the VA would take about a year to make a decision on his claim. Dad waited...his denial became permanent and he gave up. I looked at his case earlier this year and helped him to get an independent medical opinion similar to the IMO that was dated back in 2006. The VA finally gave him service connection. The issue is the effective date...since we filed a supplemental claim with new evidence...they gave him an effective date of Aug 2020. Is there anything that can be done. He trusted his VSO from back then...and was screwed over. 14 years of back pay....what can we do?
I have a combined rating of 80% the majority of my claim % is from PTSD and headache from concussions are these two things subject to a decrease over time? I see a psychiatrist at the VA once a month and my symptoms for ptsd have only gotten worst and I planned on going for an increase but hearing I could end up getting reduced is quite frankly scary.

Hi, I'm Darren. I was just granted my appeal claim for temporary unemployment disability, however they only awarded my claim back to 2019 and I submitted my claim in April 2014 and was denied, I appealed in March 2015

What about a none service disability.can a none service disability be changed to service disability if the service (gov) was aware of disability when the person joined the service
How do I get my rating paper's mailed to me, my documents were stolen along with my all other documents, discharge, awards, medical, files . I've tried and tried but no luck. I'm not very good at this sort of stuff . I'm in the country.No car no friends as that goes im 70% and 70 years younger. God bless you all for your help . If you can please help in anyway please do I sure can use the money and help.
My husband had multiple myeloma and he passed away two years this month.He had several othe things that was related the agent orange.l am his wife and was his only care giver.l now have problems related to my caring for him.l have nightmares and I have depression which has made my life now so difficult I have very bad anxiety.I had to have surgery for my right him a replacement and my back had gotten worse all this because of caring for my husband l have more going through so much more .l would like to find out if I am qualified for increase myVA benefits.

Can you file for a increase for an already service connected and also submit new evidence for a separate condition that was decided non service connected on the same supplemental form?

Good day very informative love it. I had a quick question if granted smc T, will your effective date be the date when smc T was passed into law which was 2011 if you was suffering from tbi prior? Thank you
ACL replacement surgery by Naval surgeon due to torn ACL. There was also damage to meniscus leaving partial meniscectomy during initial orthoscopic procedure. There is a worn area of bone where I ran after orthoscopic surgery recovery. Occassionally my knew locks up and I rotate it a bit to free it. Or I'll be stepping and the bone on bone sends a sharp pain. These all have to do with knee alignment and don't happen daily or even weekly. Cold months are worse. Question is are these ratings combined into one rating? I went from 20% at discharge to 10% from VA in 1993. Had an increase couple years ago to 20%. Is the ACL surgery and the meniscus 2 different ratings combined?

@JohnnyBell, generally speaking, once a case is remanded by the Board it can take anywhere from 3 to 12 months before the Regional Office issues a new decision.

@@CCK_Law what if they find a new condition during a C&P exam for a rating increase? I have a few disabilities that are cause by a disability e.g., hip labral tear causing arthritis, but they realized they overlooked a meniscus tear in my knee during the C&P exam.
hi and appreciate your time and help. I was denied (due to no documentation VA says after I left service) for an ankle injury (I fractured my ankle in service). However, have not visited a doctor since (it was a long time ago), but believe I likely have minor pain and issues in my ankle possibly as a result. Any ideas? Should I just go to a random doctor and ask for a nexus letter or some other documentation and then appeal? the denial was over 2 years ago also...any suggestions would be much appreciated...thanks again

I suffer from migraines due to wearing of my helmet in the military but still having a hard time with my claim. Will try again.

Is it possible to get a rating increase if an issue was "raised by the record" while at a C&P exam for a related, but separate condition?

What about 100% disable officers ? How would that work base on their time in service and rank ? They wouldn’t receive 3200 a month would they ?
