Great tutorial. I've looking for something like this for a long time. Just to make sure, this will track on-page form submissions with having to go to a "thank you" page or do "click class" or "css class" tricks in GTM.
Thanks for sharing. Best video on the subject. I am new, so a simple question - how do we know that form is submitted from an organic search as opposed to PPC/Google ads? Thanks again.
Great, easy to follow tutorial. Thanks for sharing. Do you have a tutorial for tracking lead form submissions to GA4 using GTM? I imagine the process is similar, but instead of creating conversion in Google ads, you create a conversion event in GA4. Is that right? I'm new to GA4 and not using Google Ads at the moment, but plan to in near future. Will form submissions be tracked in GA4 by connecting GA4 and Google Ads?
Is there a reason I'm not seeing "Use Google Tag Manager" in my UI? Might I be missing something. (I've been scouring YT / Google / even chatgpt for the last 30 minutes trying to figure this piece out lol)
Conversion tracking - lead gen I track my signups as secondary conversions, while primary conversions are categorized as qualified and converted leads. For instance, out of a total of 10 leads, 5 are qualified. Among these 5 qualified leads, 3 eventually make a payment or convert. I maintain two separate offline conversion action sheets: one for qualified leads and the other for converted leads. Is this the right approach, or should I focus solely on tracking qualified leads as the primary conversion metric?
Hi Darren! I connected my Google ads and GA4 through Google tag. But it seems like GA4 cannot get Google ads data. My Google ads click conversions are stuck as "No recent conversions" even though there's a lot of traffic to the site. Tags are firing correctly when I'm testing. Any help would be much appreciated.
what if i have 3 landing pages and they are going to same thankyou page. what needs to be done in that case, I am using all three pages for 3 ad groups. how will i setup conversion tracking for them?
This. Not a single video talking about this anywhere on youtube. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have more than just one ad campaign. I have tried creating different thank you pages by changing the URL and assigning them to each of the respective landing pages, but it doesn't work either. One of them is always assigned to all, can't segregate.
Followed this to a tee -- great tutorial. My conversion linker successfully fires but no amount of tinkering can get my conversion (form submission) to fire. I don't find the debugger helpful unfortunately. Any tips?
Dear Darren, Thank you for the tutorial. I want to ask a question, as I have been lost for many days. I followed the steps exactly. But my conversion tag is not firing. When i check from google ads too, its says not detected. Also, within the preview mode I don't have form submit option like you do here. From bottom to top it goes like this - Consent. - intialization-container loaded-set-container loaded-set-container loaded-DOM ready-Window loaded Please suggest what could be wrong. Thank you for your time.
Thank you SO MUCH for an easy to follow guide that WORKED! Your content is amazing!
Thanks mate. What an awesome tutorial. I'm new to GA4 and your explanation really helped me understand the concept.

Same here. I am getting so frustrated that I cannot find an answer. This is probably the 3rd YT video I've landed on that has this option but I don't.

I can't find my conversion ID/label anywhere.
*Thanks for sharing!*
thanks, very informative
Thanks for watching. I'm glad it was helpful
Would it be the same process for tracking phone calls?
Great Video, Darren! thanks. If Google Analytics is already installed on the website, should it be removed when Google Tag Manager is installed?
preferably, its not a very bad thing but lots of tags on your website will hinder it's performance

You need to ensure GA4 is linked to Google ads. Google "link GA4 to Google Ads"

Hi Darren. Does Google Grant Account work? The budget is $10000 and yet there are just 3 to 4 impressions.
I've seen this before in a charity account, contact Google!

Yo, I'm having the same problem right now. If you where able to fix it let me know how you did it.
