I am a whistle player do you think there is much of a difference between the condenser microphones and the dynamic microphones in sound quality? I gave my rodes nt1 to my son bought a usb mice as i had problems with my preamps but i am very disappointed the sound is totally flat and uninspiring so i just ordered a dynamic one in the hopes of eliminating the problems i had with the phantom power and noise with my set up. It's driving me crazy sadly trying to find sth. The rodes was gorgeous when i could make it all work together.

58 has a good top end for a dynamic (at least on your voice), m2 is pretty solid though, more full

Thank you for watching! The m2 is flat but full. Very convenient for eq-ing and easier to get the wanted sound. But, in my opinion, if you are about to sing somewhere where you don’t control the sound, it’s better to choose the shure, as every single sound guy knows how to “handle” it. Greetings from Greece.

Hi Petros! Nice video!! Thank you! what do you prefer? Rode m2 or behringer mb78a?

Thank you for watching and commenting. I like the both. The BEHRINGER needs less eq for my voice, as it has a different curve and it’s a little bit brighter than the m2. But the m2 has a better construction. It’s a bit heavier and feels more robust and better made. If your stage is safe and you don’t expect other people to spit on your mic then go for the m2

What do u recommend for a home studio vocal recording that doesn't have a good acoustic environment. Do u recommend dynamic or live condenser mic.. thank u !!!

Hello dear friend. Although I’ve heard very good recordings that have been made only using dynamic mics, I would recommend you a large diaphragm condenser for more detailed vocal recordings. With a mic screen or even with a very cheap mobile mic booth you can get very good results even in untreated rooms. Also you can create a nice treated corner in your room only for vocal recordings. I hope I helped you. Greetings from Greece!

    Hard to beat beta

Yes, but…… Is it because it’s so much better, or because we know it so good that it has become very easy to work with? Personally, I prefer condenser mics for my voice, as my low notes are pretty weak and condensers bring them up to a more workable level.

      The M2 sounds more neutral.

Nice comparison, I’m very interested to buy M2 but after hearing all, maybe I’ll pass for now and get the cheaper beta58a and just boost, add high pass filter and some more top end & it can compete with hand condensers.

SHURE beta58a is more expensive than the M2. The M2 is the microphone that I use most of the times.
