Reminds me of the good ole days when you bought a 100.00 car and gutted it, caged it, heated a few springs and went racing. Back before you ordered everything from a catalog
Or when the local junkyard was the supply house.

Use the inner part of the hood release cable. Works perfectly. Also don't forget to bypass the fuel pump enertia switch. It's in the trunk drivers side.

OMG ENDURO RACE finally a race that we do up here in Vermont it's nice to see you guys do our type of racing like a breath of fresh air thank u hunt the front
I remember I done a pontiac bonneville back in the late 80's spoon river speedway held a 250 lap enduro it was basically a circle track demo derby where you broke or wrecked you sat with the car i never had so much fun. I wish more places held them. Good luck guys🏁🇺🇸🏁👍

Always used guitar strings to get windows out ! Allstar outlaw cage kit fits in them fine

Use piano wire that’s what we used to use all the time works good cleans it up it’s not that hard and you don’t break it the wire sounds like looks like you guys are having a ball and I appreciate every darn show you put on. Oh you could broken a spark plug, and throw ti porcelain at the glass , it will shatter in a heartbeat, try it , that what I learned in my car junk yard that I have had for 45 years. Thanks BigAl California

In the ‘50’s my mom did the grocery envelope/list. She got $40 for 2 weeks grocery (equal to $430 today). What was left over was hers. As long as meals were on the table dad didn’t care how much she kept. That women could nail a dollar to the dinner table and stretch it across the kitchen. Very little ever discarded in the way of food.

@@williambillwaynerobertson930 Yep, inflation calculator is usually very close. Family of 3 today 200+ woukd seem about right for a week. But I seriously doubt people today could do what my mom did. They wouldn't want to or take the time. She was stay at home 💯, garden, canning etc.

Make sure you bypass the rollover switch! one big bump and you'll be dead in the water. I believe it will be located in the trunk.
An oscillating tool works great. Now you just need to take it to Jason Waters to get it tuned.😂
Don’t forget about the fuel pump cut off switch
We used guitar strings back in the street car days to cut the windshield seals out.
Tie a metal saw zaw and 6” blade and run it back wards thru the sealer. Works for us.
ppl always say use piano wire but I've found that using a putty knife and a propane torch to get it cherry red and melt the seal works better
If you're not trying to save the windshield, just use whatever you've got. It's not the same type of glass as the sides. It's separate sheets with adhesive between... it won't shatter. It'll break, crack, get millions of lines.... but it'll still be a full piece.

Good luck maybe give the engine a tune up and oil change to be safe. We need it to run the whole race!
Once you get it ready and done, pull fuses until it dies, then put that fuse back in. Also, move the grounds that could get smashed.

You need the top or g string off a guitar I've done many the windshield are glued in

When we was taking the glass out of ours we just cut it in half with a sawzall 😂 then kicked it out

I believe those cars have a fuel pump switch in the trunk. Make sure u tape it up or if u get hit hard it will kill the fuel pump
use a quitar string to cut the windshield out two vice grip pliers and quitar string and saw all the wa y around pulled hundreds of windshields and back glass out this way
Betcha Cleeter would give you a cage kit for it, they make em at the Freedom Factory!

We always used guitar or piano strings to cut the gaskets on windshields.
For race car people you would think they would have some idea about removing a car windscreen but instead it's like the blind leading the fucking blind, that's funny and prity sad at the same time, keep it up boys you make me laugh

Good wire to use is braided wire to take out windshields and back windows we use it to take them out for derby cars

Get on the inside of car and use both feet to push the windshield out. But you’ll need to put a seat back in it.
Should call cleet and borrow a few for the weekend. He should have several with the older cage design already installed and enough parts to make several good ones.
