      @@leedsalex Yeah. When I started saving up a lot, they kept pushing me into getting in their savings account. It was a little difficult to decline without laughing. One fine for having too little in the account would undo any microscopic gains from a modern savings account. I kept mine in checking until I was ready to start investing.

      I like the fact that because it is a flipbook the order of events for the hindenberg will be backwards unless you write checks from the back first. If you go in the regular order the hindenburg goes from wreck to flaming to fine

      @@TheAllcreatorLiveArchives It's a hand written check, with only a single line to write the amount, there's no correct interpretation that would create a dollar, handwritten checks are verified by people generally the us, even if you use a ATM machine it asks you to enter the amount yourself and puts a hold of 1-7 days on any check, so the scan can be verified to match what you entered

      However, the alternative is that the bank just overrides the first "cent" with the second "no cents" which results in 1 - x, where x is the number of cents, and the number of cents is 1, so 1 - 1 = 0.

    Wow, remember when 2.3% on a bank account was considered mediocre? People forget, bank accounts should have these percentages not only to mitigate inflation but also because at the end of the day, the bank is using your money to make for profit investments that it may lose. You're doing the bank of favor, not the other way around by giving them your business. That percentage was part of the agreement to incentivize you to give them a chance.
