    I found this video so helpful! I hurt my lower back while doing RDLs last Wednesday, heard a pop and pain radiating down my legs and lower back. I went to the ER thinking it was something more serious. I did not see any swelling or bruising. I was in bed for the first 72hrs. On day 3 I was feeling so much better and begin doing corse exercises. Today I was able to get a small bodyweight workout done with no pain or restrictions. Tomorrow will be a week, should I wait longer to get back to the gym? Not sure if it was a tear 1 or 2?

      It's hard for us to give specific advice without being able to assess you in person. However, your body is very intelligent and if you slowly and progressively return to movement, your body should give you signals on if it is too soon. Just take it slow and respect what your body is telling you!

    I'm sure I strained both my shoulders a couple weeks ago in trying to improve pull-ups. Went to the doctor and they referred me to PT since no bones were broken. They had the same recommendations with keeping the shoulders moving in the meantime, so I wouldn't get frozen shoulder

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, keep moving! Hopefully the PT's gave you exercises to help!

      @@docjenfit yes, she did. I've felt some improvement but my left trap keeps flaring up even when doing simple things such as walking.

      Sorry to say but it is very tough for us to give exact healing times based on not being able to assess her or see medical reports. This would definitely be best to be seeing someone in person to help work through!

    I recently did a quick drop split during my dance practice with our choreographer, I can do a split by slowly going down but my choreographer asked me if I can try doing a quick drop split as for the part of our dance for the competition , I manage to do it but after I stand up I feel pain on my left thigh then a few days I can walk normally but when I squat I can feel pain but it’s tolerable, but it hinders me from doing excessive moves like jumping jacks. The pain can be felt down to the back of my knee, And I just notice the back part that is almost near my inner left thigh looks swollen than my not injured leg. I wanna know if it’s a muscle strain or it’s something severe?

    I had a severe cramp after dance and multiple muscles became tight. I couldn’t walk for 4 days, now only pain in back side and one nerve from back thigh to calf . They are stiff and if massaged gets better. What is even all this

      Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I would recommend you go to your primary doctor if you're concerned. Unfortunately, there's no way for us to determine what's going on this way.

    I was doing deadlifts and I felt a sharp pain in the left side of my lower back I think I sprained my muscle. I have experienced this before on the other side of my lower back. Is this normal or is this bad because I am worried if my other back muscles will be sprained in the future.

    painful to stretch my lat muscle and contract it.(not on the side but more on the back). Sometimes the pain subsides but then it jolts back up again but there’s no pain when I touch it. Also a sharp constant pain when i bend my neck down and I can’t really diagnose what injury I have?

      Unfortunately it's hard for us to determine what this pain could be coming from through social media. We always recommend seeing your primary physician if you have any concerns. We hope you start to feel better soon!

    Mid back strain since November everytime I thought was healed the pain would come back. I even did month without direct back work and the inflamtry stage came back. All the gains I've made just slipping away. So depressed. 😢 my pain is when i take deep breathe sharp pain like stabbing pain. No brusiing is shown but was tender too touch. What grade would u say this is?

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately we aren't able to give you specific grades for your muscle strains. However, it would be good to find an active program so that you can actively be healing this. Sometimes doing nothing or no loading in the area isn't the best strategy. Finding the plan that can help you actively move and encourage the muscles in the area to heal well can be more beneficial. Keep it up! I know setbacks can be frustrating!

    I think i have muscle strain on my left arm as i cant lift my left arm after i overdid my dumbbells workout 😢 ...i planned to visit a sports medicine doctor yesterday but didn't go because i was able to lift my left arm a little bit when i woke up, so i imagine it will get better and better on the following days... on 6th day now and i still can't lift my left arm all the way up because it is still painful, i wonder how severe is my strain

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Best way to find out how severe it is or get more specific feedback would definitely be see someone in person. Glad it has been getting better though!

    I started to incorporate doing supersets with my workouts & was doing way too many reps without resting in between, now every joint is in pain from my ankles, knees, hamstring, hips, shoulders…😕 this has been painful for 3 weeks, how long will this last???

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on how much overuse you may have done during this period. It would be good to scale back and do more recovery work. As long as it is steadily decreasing over time, you should be good. If it doesn't start decreasing, you may want to see someone in person for more guidance.

    Can a healing muscle strain cause nerve pain?

    • @docjenfit

      It could absolutely contribute to nerve type symptoms.

    I strained back muscle / left side rt where my kidney is located.
    Hurt so bad- felt like I got kicked & punched in the left kidney.. 😣
    I had Cat scan- to rule out kidney stones…
    Dr said skeletal muscular strain …
    Hurts pretty bad- guessing it’s a 2
