    About how many weeks for an MCL to heal and to be pain free?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey N Bram! It's hard to give you a precise number without knowing the severity of your situation. Once you start doing the right things, ligaments usually take 1-3 months to heal. You've got to be patient and make sure you're not irritating your MCL. Be sure to get a brace on to help you with healing!!!

    Dr, I fell on my lower back. 3 months after I started limping. MRI showed MCl, meniscus and chondromalacia grade2. Can it be due to the fall? Never had any knee pain before. I never did a sport that supposes running or jumping.

    i was experiencing inner knee pain that went away but it pops like something is moving around when I go into a deep squat or kneel down on one knee and lean way back it pops. Would this more likely be knee alignment or MCL damage?

    Was involved in a car accident broke my left femur now I’m on week7 post op and walking with crutches but I have inner knee pain should I brace it and let it heal?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Send It, sorry to hear about your left femur fracture :-(
      It's hard to tell you if bracing it will certainly make it feel better or not help at all. You likely won't make it worse though. You might have a tibial shift, bruising from the accident, or nerve problems from the fracture. You're in a point in healing from a traumatic accident where random things might hurt. You'll have to take them one at a time as they come.

    Hi Dr. I developed sudden sharp pain yesterday when accidentally put more weight on my right knee when i slipped before sitting on a chair. The pain was so sharp and immediately i felt pain when i want to straighten my knee. Today I feel sharp pain inside my knee when i want to straighten my leg. There is some bearable pain at the back of my knee. I could bend my knee with little pain but could not straighten my knee. Could it be a MCL tear?

    if it's clicking but not swelling is that perhaps less severe, easier to heel?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Von, It is hard to determine without a proper evaluation. If you are experiencing joint clicking without any associated pain or swelling, it might suggest that the issue is less severe and less likely to cause significant problems. However, it's essential to pay attention to your body and be mindful of any changes in your symptoms.
      Even if there is no swelling, it's a good idea to listen to your body and avoid activities that exacerbate the clicking or cause discomfort. If the clicking continues to be bothersome or is accompanied by pain or other symptoms, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. They can provide personalized advice and recommendations based on your specific situation. We hope you that can feel some relief soon. Please take care! 🧡

      @@epmanualphysicaltherapy definitely pain/limping, specially when straight (using pillow in bed), but also off and on aka no pain/click/limp, so will make appt.
