    I have been to pauls school and then tried to find other ways of hand to hand combt and then I watched thousands of real street fight and the more i learn the more i come to realise what paul teachs realy works.If Bruce Lee was a live today he would be proud of how paul taken JKD to a whole new level.and I have been into some fight and ue what paul teaches let me tell you it saved my ass.

    @channelin Nothing is ever totally useless..I didnt mean to imply that. But as it is commonly taught today and how the typical student takes their instruction, literally as gospel without further reasearch. They are usually in for a rude awakening.

    All martial arts have value. However, when it comes to functional street survival or battlefield then you need a system tailored specifically for that-otherwise you are taking a golf club to baseball practice. Something is out of whack - thinking, tools, methodology. Karate may be best for you and the life your living. Try to pass it off to Navy Seals or SWAT and see the reaction you get. We must square our thinking to line up with reality.
