@rmattyp prior to viewing Vunaks material, NO ONE was really demostrating how to incorporate the headbutt correctly in a combat situation. They just took it for granted that we all "some how knew" which we didn't. Its a definite fight ender and TOTALLY unexpected, especially when the hands are tied up.
Fact is: if one is a good kicker (i.e. he really knows how to kick to damage, not for exhibition) with good footwork it's even more difficult to close than against a boxer. The only way to close is to use feints and have good tempo.
It's so good watch Paul in action in the alley this was back in the late 80's he was also using his garage s at the apartment I don't think paul remember s me I was the dick from the city who had to till he wasn't allowed to do the in this zoned area and the the neighbors were complaining. Paul was real nice to me (thank god) and worked with me to fix things? 🙏 now we're both in are sixtys man how the time has gone by.but paul is still hard at . Listen watch and learn. Thanks Paul.

El video es excelente, ¿ y que mas real que eso ?, hay muchos otros tutoriales que si son verdaderamente irreales, en cuanto a Drossos en el fondo esta utilizando la misma filosofia del Jeet Kune Do, acaso muchos maestros no se han dado cuenta ya de que el Jeet kune Do si es un arte que enseña de verdad y de una u otra manera lo incorporan igual a su manera a sus estilos ?.......................

Check out Nick Drossos self defense tutorials, that guy is very down to earth and teaches almost in a real life scenario... Paul Vunak is awesome but you´re right street fights dont go like he shows in this vid... he is fast and has good stuffs but he needs to be more down to reality in some of his tutorials
It's interesting to note how he always kick low while the other always kick high. Nobody with a little of experience and technique in street kick high directly, that's pure idiocy. Moreover he always uses hook kicks that are slower and less direct than side kicks. I have nothing against Paul, but this video is badly done because it teaches you how to react to mistakes instead of what can really happen.
Amioran the things in a fight anything can happen,fights are unpredictable.truth is nobody has all of the answers,learn from all those who have a practical approach to self defense/combatives I like Paul,I like lee Morrison,I like Kelley mccan,I like Dan insanto,Larry hart dell,William fairbairn,chai sirisute and Ron kosakowski.lets just learn to appreciate good teachers not debate about who’s better because they all have something to offer
