  • : In this webinar Abu Sufian, Ph.D., and Wouter Brink, Ph.D., present an overview of two new features implemented into the AASHTOWare Pavement ME Design.
First, MSCR asphalt designations (AASHTO M332) are now characterized in PMED for Input Level 3 by using the binder viscosity parameters, A and VTS (AVTS), and for Input Level 2 by using the binder stiffness and recovery parameters from the DSR and MSCR laboratory tests.
Second, an initial damaged dynamic modulus mastercurve plot can be generated for the design of rehabilitated pavements at all three input levels.
Learning objectives for the webinar include:
    1. Explaining the differences between input levels 2 and 3 for the newly integrated MSCR binder grades.
    2. Selecting proper user input and laboratory tests for input level 2 MSCR binder grade.
    3. Visually inspecting and interpreting the initial damaged dynamic modulus mastercurve for different rehabilitation input levels and conditions of the existing asphalt layer(s).
