A different Bangalore, Episode-2 - Bhoomi Santhe
Bhoomi College has brought together individuals and communities through its Fellowship programmes, weekend programmes, conferences and workshops to learn, share and engage, aiming at ecological living on our planet.
Santhe is a market or a Haat. Bhoomi has been organizing these bi monthly markets / santhe in their campus on the first and third Saturday of every month. The main aim of these Santhe is to brings together farmers, producers and consumers. When we come to santhe, it is not just the transactions between farmers and buyers, it is the relationships which are built.
Farmers bring organically produced fruits and vegetables to sell. Besides these, different products, spices, senitizers, utensils are also sold here.
“Buy Local, Eat Local and Support our Farmers”, is one of the aims of organizing these Local markets.
Bi Monthly Santhe - 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month
