    I recommend the nylon tug and tie dog collar it is very good! It is meant for hunting and my dog has worn it a lot and he used to pull a lot so it will stand up!

    I’m adopting a shih tzu next week! She’s a little girl and adorable. I’m not a first time dog owner though as I already have experience with taking care of dogs. I suggest buying a harness when you take your dog out for a walk, not a collar. It’s bad for their neck. When they are still little teach them not to pull on the leash. Usually huskies do this, but it’s best to teach them this when they are younger.

      The fact that you’re anxious and worried about not being good enough means that you care about the pup ! You’re gonna do great! I don’t know you but I’m pretty sure you’ll be an amazing puppy parent! Just allow yourself to learn and try to be as patient as possible 😊

      Did you get a puppy? Make sure its the right puppy for you i felt the same till i found the right breed (labrador) just make sure you strart training from day 1 and dont listen to google with crate training.. dont sleep near them dont let them out when cry unless they need toilet or you will give them seperation anxiety from day 1.. make sure they get used to crate first day.

    I recommend a horse leash for a bigger dog because we bought my dog a normal leash and he would always bite it and destroy it so we used my old horse leash and weve had it for 2 years and it didnt break (the normal dog leash obviously broke)

    Is it ok for pup to have a harness with a tick/flea collar both at same time?

    • @anonymooseplaguedoctor2891
      @anonymooseplaguedoctor2891 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes! It is actually better if they have this as the flea/tick collar will of course keep them safe from those bugs and a harness is a much better way of walking your pup as they are more secure and don't result in tugging of the neck!

    ALWAYS GET A BREAK AWAY COLLAR!
    We used to use regular collars until one day two of my dogs were play-fighting ands ones jaw got stuck in it, our neighbor literally hopped over our fence and was able to help them before it was too late!
    There was also a post of the same thing happing when the pet-parents weren’t home and they came home to the dog still stuck in the collars of the dead one. Very sad, so please get a break away collar or use a harness!

    NO! Everyone watching this video get a HARNESS!! stress on the neck can even lead to long-term medical issues-including damaging the thyroid glands and tissues around the neck area and salivary glands ANDDD IT’S ALSO FOUND THAT found that using extrication collars in the presence of severe dissociative neck injuries can result in abnormal separation within the upper cervical spine

    Please PLEASE never leave your puppy in a crate while you are away or just not in the house. Or on a lead! It’s too small and they can get depressed if left there for so long. If you can’t afford to get a fence in your yard or get a yard you shouldn’t have a dog. If you live in an apartment honestly I wouldn’t get a dog either. Get a cat or something. Dogs need space to run and if they don’t have that they won’t live a good full life. And yes you can leave them in their crates when you are sleeping even I do that (well actually no I don’t my dog usually just sleeps in my bed) but dogs sleep during the night like us and unlike cats. So it’s okay to put them in there during the night. Thank you for reading this 😅

    No don't use a house line it's cruel for dogs the constantly have a harness/collar and a leash get a fence and put it around the crate inside so he can have time of leash and with collar/harness of this fence should have a door in the fence so it can be open and closed and let ur puppy play in ur back yard make sure they can't escape let them play outside without collar/harness on
