    I was just looking at spotting scopes and checked your reviews as they are really informative and helped me a lot when I purchased a pair of binoculars. I notice the price has gone up from £400 to £500! I might have been tempted, but in proportion to its original price, that's too big an increase.

      Hi that is a shame... hopefully for you it comes back down again soon - have you compared prices at different retailers? www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/buy-binoculars.php?binocular=Hawke15-45x60Endurance%20ED&id=22&typeofproduct=spottingscope

    Hi and thanks for the review! I know this is late but what is the weight WITH the eyepiece included? Is it the stated 895 grams (tube and eyepiece or is that for the tube only? Many thanks!

      Hello Henrik - unfortunately I no longer have this scope with me - perhaps someone else who does own one will see this and answer for you for sure But I think the weight includes the eyepiece..

    Hi Jason. Quick question about the eyepiece. Does the eyecup rotate with the zoom ring or does the eyecup stay put when zooming in? If the eyecup stays put even when increasing the magnification then they'll be great for digiscoping.

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Joshua - I can confirm the focus ring turns independently of the eyecup, although it's positioning and depending on the shape/design of your digiscoping adapter means you have to be careful when doing it, so the eyecup does not move - I did test these with some digiscoping for my review: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/spotting-scopes/review.php?id=22&scope=Hawke-Endurance-ED-15-45x60

    Hi thanks you for your great videos. Please till me which binoculars 8 x 42 or 10 x 42 to buy for birding under $400 . The very best that you would buy your self ? Celestron Trailseeker ED, Hawke Frontier ED X, Vortex Diamondback UHD are a better one . Please Help Me !!! Thank You

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi William, thanks for the question, take a look at my guide to the bast value birding binoculars, which has a section on Mid-High Birding Priced Binoculars ($300 - $500 / £300 - £500) www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/best-value-bird-watching.php - I have fully tested them all and recommend any of those listed. Also: In general I would opt for an 8x42 for birding, but if you often view birds at longer ranges like at the coast, lakes or eagles on the wing, then a 10x42 may be best in those cases.

    Can you light binoculars with a large multiplicity?

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, in most respects, the magnification has nothing to do with the weight or size of the objective lenses, but in reality, you need large objectives with powerful binoculars in order to maintain a large enough exit pupil so that the image is bright enough and easy to use - so there is a compromise. It depends on how powerful you want, but you can get compacts with 12x powers. For example the Steiner Wildlife Pro 12x30 Binoculars www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Steiner12x30WildlifePro-13.htm Another idea would be to get a monocular which are smaller and more lightweight than a binocular eg: Vortex Recon RT 15x50 Monocular www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Vortex-Recon-RT-15x50-Monocular-Review-251.htm

    Has anyone tried using a different eyepiece on this ? (other than the fixed focus one hawke sells)

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi - no I have not - perhaps someone else can chime in here? What is it that you wanted to know?

    • @karthik3685
      @karthik3685 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Bestbinocularsreviews thanks. I'm actually getting a different hawke scope thats a 25-75x. Since the eyepiece is removable, I wanted to get one that is more wide-angle. i.e., say 15x-25x or so. I'll have to check to see for the tube length of that scope, what eyepiece to get. I will research this. (based on some forum I was reading, some eyepieces that are Swaro clones apparently fit this thread. I think you mention the thread in one of your review posts as well.) Thanks!

      Hi, yes - I don't often swap out eyepieces, but I am pretty sure you are right in regards to the tread size... but don't quote me on this! - Anyway, if you have a problem finding out, let me know and I will ask my contacts at Hawke who are always very good at getting back to me with any questions I have when I test their stuff.

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alistair, thanks for the question and to answer it, No, I am NOT paid or incentivized in any way or by anyone for any of my any reviews and what I say and write on all of them is completely my own, honest opinion. I make the money need to keep BBR up and running through the advertising and affiliate links, which in no way impacts my opinion or the cost that you end up paying for them.

    I would have been shocked to receive a new spotting scope that was not packed in a foam insert. Really, bubble rap. Red Flags...🚩🚩🚩.

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David, yes I agree top-end scopes often come with a foam insert, but at this price range I have seen this type of packaging fairly often. Whilst foam would certainly be better, being such a small, lightweight scope in it's protective cover, the packaging whilst not ideal, I think was adequate. Also as a sample - I don't always receive exactly what the public gets, so this one may have been sent out to other testers before me for what ever reason been an open box beforehand so am not sure if this is how it goes out if you were to buy one brand new. Hawke ere not expecting me to do an unboxing :-)
