All I would say is I take my binoculars out at least once a week whereas I use my scope at least once a year :-) if you go to a hide or a fixed viewing point and plan to spend a lot of time there, a scope is unbeatable over longer distances but you’ll probably still use binoculars to scan the scene first. A scope usually needs a good solid (therefore quite heavy) tripod too. I have to say I’m talking about birding, hunters may have a different view.
Hi, I found out your channel very recently and loved it! I have a Carl Zeiss 8x32 binocular that shows very clear images when I look to night sky, but of course its magnification is modest and, since I have astigmatism, to use a binocular for stargazing is terrible. Besides this I would like to go further and look for much more details at the night sky. But I would like to avoid a telescope, because in general they are not much robust and need much more caring with the weather and many more adjustments for good images. For this reason I would like to ask you guys to indicate the best brands and models of spotting scopes for stargazing (astronomy). I thank you in advance guys for your valuable help and congrats for you channel!
Why did Lady make introduction of Binoculars while man made introduction of Spotting scopes. In fact, all men have Spotting Scopes while women have Binoculars.
As always, very informative videos. thanks.
Thank you so much!
