After the intro, ( a few months later) I had fun a the Bismarck event.( more specifically, the last stage where u blow up bismarck.) After all, Hood was my first SR, first oath, and first lv120
A cold fog hung low over the waves. Hood and her trusted friend Prince of Wales were chasing down Germany's unsinkable behemoth, the mighty King of the Ocean, Bismarck. The two battlecruisers' prows cut mountains of spray through the arctic waters of the Denmark Strait. Suffolk and her sister Norfolk had wisely stayed back after discovering the target, and departed homeward from the group. This left the battlecruisers to face Bismarck - and his escort, Prinz Eugen - on their own. But two on two would be a fair fight....under normal circumstances, maybe. But Bismarck was no normal battleship. Hood opened her guns first, thinking she had aimed for the steel titan, but had hit the escorting cruiser instead. Prince of Wales soon complimented the salvo with one of her own, dealing Bismarck minor damage. The shells seemed to have bounced clean off his hull. Prinz Eugen replied, and scored hits on the newer ship's foremost turret. They would continue exchanging lead and iron, each stubbornly refusing the will of the other. Then, *he* spoke up. Eight jets of orange and black shot up for the dull gray heavens. Eight black and red-tipped shells arced up, flew straight ahead, and descended toward their target. Eight screeching collisions as marks were found, and eight iron claws tore through deck after deck after deck. An enormous noise of hundreds of bombs igniting, a near-instant chain reaction. A great moan was heard as a hull was torn in half. Orange flames and blue leapt skyward, in their subsidence a dark and oily cloud lazily mushroomed, roiling as if alive. One turret, defying fate, fired one more shot before finally surrendering itself to the indigo depths below. The shell arced into the air, and descended onto its mark. That shot hit him where he would suffer the worst. Metal tore through metal, and a slick of night-black oil poured out to the sea. To his benefit, his crew acted quick in isolating the flood of brine. But the wounded forequarter leaked precious fuel to waste. While Bismarck had succeeded in killing the Royal Navy's proud and gallant flagship, his fate was all but sealed by her hand.
Everyone knows that Prince of Wales is *not* a battlecruiser, by any kind of measure. Or *any* of the KGVs. Also, a ship is a *she*, not a he. Bismarck included.
And yet when Bismarck met her own demise at the hands of the royal navy... it's almost as sadder yet huge loss of life was felt on both sides..... it's miracle that 3 men survived hood's sinking. I never knew that Tirpitz also used this theme (Hood's sinking and also Code G destroying all the Sirens). This is a remaster of said theme (by yours truly!), or a remix, if you may. In the original game, Hood's sinking is the same song as Tirpitz's.

And after several decades Hood and the men that went down with her finally got to see the light of day again when her bell was brought to the surface May their souls find peace
It this actually canon on the Azur Lane timeline? I got back into the game and I'm sorting the story out on my head. Does the game follow historical events or do they do their own thing? Because on the animation for example, by the time all the factions form Azur Lane, Hood is alive. Do the events of the game follow the events of the animation?
Its a retelling of the game, and it kinda does both in terms of influence by history or doing their own thing. In the game Hood and Bismarck were actually friends until Bismarck was.....well...hurt yah ill just say hurt(trying not to spoil) by the sirens. If you listen to Bismarcks last stand ost, the music kinda tells you how she feels in the end. Betrayed by everyone she trusted, finally understanding what was going on she made her finale stand. Outnumbered, hurt, unable to flee, she decided to go out on her own terms. Fighting till she cant anymore! Also disclaimer I haven't been able to play through the events where this story is told in game. This is just what ive been told by commenters on youtube.
The anime takes place after the events of the first Siren War. It doesn't follow irl history as the shipfus themselves are essentially the memories and personality of the historical ships brought forth and contained into cube tech. So ships from any era can be present in the animu. As for the original story, its believed the Sirens are us from the distant future that are decimated by alien invaders. So they are manipulating time and attempting to jump start human technology in preparation of that invasion. However adopting and adapting advanced tech from time travelers might have been the factor that allowed the aliens to detect Earth in the first place. That is why Azur Lane is strictly against the use of Siren tech. Sirens are meddling with various timelines pitting us against each other to further evolve technology.
@@pyroromancer I Play the game since half a year and didn't really understand what you meant. I get the meddling with timelines and alternative outcomes and all, but doesn't the events of AL, atleast most of them, mimic real life naval war history? I mean, Sure altered to a certain extend but still relativly accurate in essence? I Mean even the Main chapters are loosely based on the american pacific war effort.
Am I the only one who's not sad? I mean, if you know history then you'd know that shit like this (Battle of Jutland the RN lost 3 BC's due to ammunition explosion) was bound to happen eventually. HMS Hood was literally a sailing glass cannon.

This is freaking me out. When I saw Hood being sad while me having the game open having her married...
gonna have this playing during stronghold fights
Oh no my great ally is sunk
I noticed this theme has the same melody as Tirpitz’s theme, just a different arrangement.
I wonder what this says about the both of them, their relationships with Bismarck being a prominent point.
I never knew that Tirpitz also used this theme (Hood's sinking and also Code G destroying all the Sirens).
This is a remaster of said theme (by yours truly!), or a remix, if you may. In the original game, Hood's sinking is the same song as Tirpitz's.
@@Seryl_Kurisu Ahhh I see now! I actually thought this was a real theme from Azur Lane because of how great this sounds! XD
This remaster is awesome. I keep coming back to listen to it!
This song hits harder than Ultra rare 533 mm magnetic torpedo enhanced to +13
Meanwhile in pvp Warspite: Belli dura despicio! powerfull ship in history fkn dies
TFW you get hit in the magazine by a 15 inch shell.
this soundtrack is so epic, it reminds me of call of duty soundtracks
When Bismarck brings out the flex tape.
Bye, Hood ..... see you in exchange shop later xDD
Lol
All She had to do was To stay Away from me...
*Good morning commander!.... what? Bismarck sinking me? Battle of denmark straits? What do you mean? Commander, lets go have a cuppa! You have a long day ahead!*
...A nightmare that felt too real.
Such is the power of the Sirens.
You were good son real good... Maybe even the best
this music make we wanna play azur lane so much but the gameplay is just not something i enjoy
The hood found the Bismarck and on that fatal day The Bismarck started firing first 15 miles away we got to sink the Bismarck was the battle sound but when the smoke cleared away the Mighty hood went down
And after several decades Hood and the men that went down with her finally got to see the light of day again when her bell was brought to the surface May their souls find peace
1:20 AL pvp in a nutshell
It this actually canon on the Azur Lane timeline? I got back into the game and I'm sorting the story out on my head. Does the game follow historical events or do they do their own thing? Because on the animation for example, by the time all the factions form Azur Lane, Hood is alive. Do the events of the game follow the events of the animation?
The animation is an adaptation of the game and i think the adaptation is a prequel or something like that (i don't know much in al storyline)
@@TheRealJohnux in the game itself the campaign mode is what follows history, but the anime is its own original story.
You know Hood has it out for you when you build her three times. :V
*I just want Prince of Wales!!!*
😂😂😂
and this is what the crew on that very ship heard before they go kaboom and sank
Ok..,this is sad
Wait, wheres my vodka to cool down myself
Freaking Hooooood
Hood’s last bye bye
Am I the only one who's not sad? I mean, if you know history then you'd know that shit like this (Battle of Jutland the RN lost 3 BC's due to ammunition explosion) was bound to happen eventually. HMS Hood was literally a sailing glass cannon.
Wow, cool!
Petition to ressurect Hood and Bismarck using modern artillery technology
