Silvuddy's Notes:
- Hoenn Battle Frontier / Battle Maison: The original Battle Frontier upgraded the Battle Tower first introduced in Gen 2 and brought us brand new musical themes for its overworld and bosses! The Frontier Brain theme can be considered an amped up remix of the Battle Frontier's overworld theme itself. ORAS brought the Battle Maison back from XY instead of featuring the Battle Frontier, but made up for it by remixing the original theme for fights against the Battle Chatelaines!
- Sinnoh Battle Tower / Battle Frontier: Palmer, the leader of Sinnoh's Battle Tower simply reuses Cynthia's Champion Battle theme in Diamond, Pearl, and their remakes. Once the Gen 4 Battle Frontier came in and expanded the Fight Area, a totally brand new theme took its place. The HGSS version is slightly different from the original Platinum one due to the different soundfont. There are also some references in this killer battle theme to the original Hoenn Battle Frontier; keep an ear out!
- Battle Subway: This spiritual successor to the Battle Tower doesn't feature any real new battle themes, but it does use a nice remix of the regular Trainer Battle theme for its challenges. The Subway Bosses Ingo and Emmet simply reuse Alder's Champion battle music, much like Palmer before him.
- Black Tower / White Treehollow: B2W2 introduced these rogue-like dungeons to Black City and White Forest, with Alder's grandson Benga at the top of each one. In addition to Ingo/Emmet, he also reuses Alder's theme, though this makes a bit more sense given their familial connection.
- Pokémon World Tournament: Quite possibly the best Battle Facility in the franchise has its own theme that plays during the lobby, which is remixed for the final round of every tournament (except in the Champions' tournament). I represented this facility with Colress since he's the first challenger to be fought with this theme in-game.
- Battle Maison: Though the Battle Chatelaines' designs are pretty cool, the Maison itself is quite disappointing. The lobby got a remix of the Johto Battle Tower theme, but the Chatelaines are only battled with the Kalos Elite Four theme in the background.
- Battle Royal: Alola featured a new style of battle with the 4-way Battle Royal. While somewhat underwhelming, at least it comes with a funky battle theme!
- Battle Tree: Like the PWT, the Battle Tree's main appeal is nostalgia, with popular characters occasionally appearing and the legends Red and Blue at the top. Their battle music simultaneously references both of their original themes while also featuring unique motifs.
- Galar Battle Tower: This was Toby Fox's first contribution to the Pokémon franchise: an awesome battle theme for every trainer battle in the Battle Tower! Unfortunately Leon doesn't feature any official art in his "Tower Tycoon" look, but @carefreejules15 (@PigeonSenpai) on Twitter made some art in a similar style, which is shown here!
- Academy Ace Tournament: Once again Toby Fox provides us with some fun post-game battle music. While there isn't a true Battle Facility in Paldea, the AAT fills essentially the same role.

I never played Emerald, but I’ve played Ruby, sapphire, and both remakes. The music from all the games have been amazing!! So this is honestly my first time hearing the frontier brain music! I’m pleased to say it’s amazing!! And the remake is just as good! Maybe even better!!
It absolutely isn't in terms of difficult. The original brain frontier is hands down peak Pokemon.
For black and white you could’ve used their hats for the symbol
& the Tree Ribbon thing for Red & Blues USUM battle
I know, originally I had both of those but it became too cluttered with both of those boxes having two characters AND an icon

I really hated how they rid of things like the Battle Arcade from remakes. The Tower was my least favorite challenge so now I avoid those like the plague. Plus how they suddenly made ALL the challengers tough from the start isn't fun for me, as someone who prefers to play less competitively and focuses on having fun. Lemme climb up to the Gengar ranks instead of facing one first thing! Idk, I just found it more enjoyable when I could climb those ranks, reach the fight right before the boss, and THEN have the challenge of facing that fight before possibly meeting the boss.
Game Corner? Fine. If it's that contributing to "gambling for kids"...I guess rid of it. Idk, other games have gacha features and are a bigger gamble than ingame currency, but I personally found the replacement for those more understandable than removing the whole Battle Frontier and only leaving the Tower. :/ *shrugs*
Side note: I forgot Palmer had the same theme as Cynthia. xD I wanna headcanon the two as at least former dates/lovers here, not only because of that, but the logic of him being the Tower champ while Cynthia is the Regional Champion actually makes the duo fit. And they both have their own personalities outside of their title; Palmer's a klutz and dashes away like Barry did, and Cynthia is just a casual, fun loving gal when she finds that time. Makes sense to me, at least. xD
Of course, then Barry would've probably blurted out first thing "MY MOM IS THE CHAMPION" in the game, but anywho...Maybe he didn't know, haha. Or he just didn't care enough to speak about it like all of the sudden, we find out that Palmer's his dad. I just found the thought amusing when I noticed this. I've not fought Palmer in years, due to the rant above. :P
I had that exact same headcanon for the exact same reason! I like to think that Cynthia and Palmer would get married after the events of DPPt so she becomes Barry’s stepmom haha

@@catalyst539 Oh, the secret Team Aqua sympathizer. I don't really believe in that theory as Nolan/Noland is a pretty common name. Also, Bulbapedia says it comes from "knowledge", fitting for the head of a factory.
