Best Madden I ever played. I remember buying this with my PS2 on launch day. Puts modern NFL games to shame!

No it isn't. Ratings aren't realistic. The receivers run horrible routes and drop way too many passes. Hard to break tackles in the games. In fact, it's hard to run period.

You should make a series where you do this with the old games. Choose a team in franchise, sim to the superbowl and see what happens. I think that could be cool, like next episode you play Madden 2002 as the Raiders (or whoever) and do what you did here, play a game and sim the rest for fun

Just saw this retro game and it brought back all the memories. I'm an 80's baby so I played them all. This one is great it's the first one for the PS2. Your energy and this game made me subscribe to your channel. We aren't old we just grew up with the best eras of gaming and still gaming at 41 and have been collecting video games etc since 1995. My buddy bought Madden 2001 and Dynasty Warriors 2 with his PS2 when it was released. Mall security had to walk him out because there were almost riots for these consoles. Great memories.

I own this game and played it a couple of weeks ago. The limitations take some getting used to after playing more modern versions. For instance, not being able to call up play art on defense, having to press X an extra time to bring up the passing icons, and the ratings are ass. I think 2002 and 2003 are better versions, since with 2002 you can actually take control of the Houston Texans and do an expansion draft.
One of my first maddens w my uncle i was only maybe 5 by time i played it. Pretty advanced for time, jags were good on it i remember lol

Madden 94 genesis is my throwback although 2001 was next level 👌 nfl 2k5 nfl blitz nfl xtreme those nfl games are the creme of the crop for me.

It's my favorite too the gameplay and commentary between summerall and Madden was the best, best team st Louis Rams Hakim ran by everybody, if you play as the Rams sign players to their secondary.

Toke you gotta play 04’ with OP Vick. Then in 05’ is when they introduced the hit stick to compete with the OP offense. Ray Lewis was a head hunter in that one! After that 08’ was my personal favorite.

This was the year broncos had like an all star team and then lost to Jacksonville in the playoffs after Jacksonville beat miami by like 60 points and retired Marino. Crazy year, Jaguars had best record in the nfl and only lost to one team.
