I had a gheenoe years ago. It was rated for a 4.5 hp motor and I stiffened the back and put a 35 hp on it. Best little fishing boat I ever had
Wow I bet that thing flew! Mine does 31 solo with the 25hp
Waiting patiently for mine to be finished. I went with the center live well too, which I figure will also double to hold ice for a few hours anyway.
Nice! And yes it does, if I’m not using the livewell I can put the plug in it and fill it with ice or use it as dry storage for the day

These boats do amazing for backwater river fishing, I think they have some dealers out that way if I’m not mistaken
I want one to fish 10 miles off shore lmao jk but I want one for where I live. There are a lot of shallow areas I can't get to with my stern drive

Depends on your build choices, the hull alone starts around $3,600 with no motor or trailer. Check custom gheenoe website for prices 👍🏻
Had a very similar setup for several years down in LA. Mine had a center console. Was a fine boat as long as the wind didn't pickup. However, I do think they are overpriced for what you get.
Yeah they do very well if you use them for their intended purpose. And it’s hard to compare the price when even other 16’ skiffs are going for $30+ k
