Congratulations looks real real nice . Refreshing to hear you use it for your style and keep it in its environment back country shallow water boat . All to many times people misuse it then bashes the boat on internet / you tube . Sad since these are very nice boats that won't break the bank . Let's plan to take them soon .🤜 Congratulations Again
Thank you! Yeah I’ve seen one video where a guy sank his 13’ gheenoe trying to pull a huge barrel of water into it, some jokes just write themselves 😂 These boats are excellent for what they’re meant for and very well crafted! As soon as we get some decent weather I’m down! 😅
Thanks for share! Can you possibly share how the electrical box on the grab handle is mounted. Also show a visual on how they have the wires coming through the floor..
@@SALTxTHExWOUND I got some quotes, the woman was super nice and no annoying sales tactics or even trying to upsell. Just straight forward and helpful. Definately a company worthy of my money so I'm buying one.
I plan to use whatever boat I buy in the river and the flats in the big bend area of Florida. Been going back-and-forth between the LT 25 and some thing like that xtreme. Any regrets at this point as far as size room ride? Thanks for the video.
Absolutely, be sure to check out my other videos on the LT25 while you’re here. So let me start by saying the only regret I have is not getting one sooner, I had a highsider and an LT10 before this and this boat is in a whole other category. It’s super stable, I’ve had 4 adults in it no problem, it could handle 5-6 if waters are calm. It’s the best skiff out there for the money imo 💯
The telescopic push pole is from bass pro shops, it's a superstick. And the battery monitor is just a basic one from amazon, seems to work good for $10
Have you broken in the engine and got a Top Speed number yet? I’m looking at the same motor for my setup as well as a Suzuki. I’m curious to know what you’re hitting.
Yes! I have about 30 hours on the motor now, with the stock prop (9 7/8" x 11 1/4") I was getting 28 solo and 27 with a passenger. I just switched to a Powertech SRA3 10X10p prop and it runs way better. I get 30.5 solo and 29 with a passenger. I can trim the motor up much more with the stainless SRA3 and get my RPM's up to 6,100 if needed and let her rip. 25 HP is the perfect size for the LT25 imo
Most people do stick steer from the center or front on the LT25 from what I’ve seen. In my opinion it’s just one more thing to go wrong, tiller is about as reliable as you can get and less maintenance
@@SALTxTHExWOUND Less maintenance is always a good thing. Your setup is starting to grow on me. What size cooler do you sit on in the back? How much is your boat built new? Around $22,200?
OTF was nice but tilt and trim is much more useful imo. I found that I only jacked my motor up to set it at the perfect height, once it was there I left it. But I fish skinny water a lot and had to pull the motor up by hand several times out on the water. The trim unit allows me to set it wherever I need with just the push of a button.
Hey man, loving the gheenoe content. I am in the market for a skiff and considering a gheenoe. I’m out of the Tampa/St Pete area. How’s your experience been with the rig in chop? Wet ride?
Hey man, I’m local to the area as well! The rig does great in protected waters, it’ll handle a little chop, you just gotta slow it down a bit. I love this boat
@@SALTxTHExWOUND I just put in a Factory Direct order and theyre thinking 16-18 weeks. Still not too bad compared to the 10-12 months some guys were waiting a couple years ago.
Nice rig, I’ve owned a 15.4 and a classic now, thinking about doing a build like yours, only thing on your boat I’d like is a seat pedestal in the back so you could have a seat while you drive with a back rest, I never see one on lt25 builds, is it not possible with the configuration you have?
I’ve seen them with seats, usually they call that a raptor platform, I personally put my cooler on the rear deck and it serves as a seat and then the platform becomes my backrest
Honestly the BEST is between 6-8mph, still got a breeze but water is super calm. 10-12mph isn’t bad, I won’t go out if it’s over 15, you can do it but it’s a wet rode
@@SALTxTHExWOUND Thank you. I have an LT-25 and wanted to gauge from the Gheenoe community what mph was safe. I mostly fish central Florida St. John’s River and New Smyrna Beach creeks. Thank you.
I paid just over $10k for the hull and trailer in the configuration I ordered. You can order them cheaper with less add ons, or more expensive obviously the more you add to it. I believe the basic hull starts just over $3k without a trailer
@@SALTxTHExWOUND so you did all the wiring yourself? Battery in the front and you ran all the wiring to the back? Very impressive! Are you an electrician?

Hey brother what’s the top speed with the motor? Thanks
The Yamaha 25hp pushes the boat 30.5mph solo, 28mph 2 up and 27mph with 3 adults.

Is that a short shaft or long shaft outboard?
Short shaft
whats the total weight of the rig, could a small suv pull/tow?
Absolutely, I know guys who pull these with an ecoboost mustang. Total weight with the trailer is approximately 7-800 lbs
When I had my LT25 (similar weight set up to this one) I towed it all over Florida with a 2.4L Accord Coupe!
how long was your wait time from order to delivery?
About 10-12 weeks I believe

I installed the Yamaha myself. I bought only the hull and trailer from custom gheenoe
