Me too! They ruined the noodle bowl tasting for her since they mistakenly didn't put the sauce on her noodles. They should have served the sauce on the side, like it cones, and tell them to put it on the salad to their liking in order to optimise the tasting.

I think what she meant was that beef pho has too much of a raw meat taste (I have the same opinion and I dated a vietnamese girl so I tried to like pho a lot of times.) Its weird because I like my steaks medium rare, but the beef in pho has too much of a game-y taste to it. Haven't had pho in a while though, so maybe I could give it another try LMAO.
Sohan makes such a good point about pho broth. Some places it's okay but like when you find a place that makes it well you won't order it from anywhere else!

I've made all my friends try it and now they're just as obsessed as I am 😭 once you find that place you can never go back!

I know this video is kind of old but if you want a bit more veg content going on in your pho i like to add a lot of onions, cilantro, green onions, bean sprouts, basil, mint and lime. it really adds some color and a lot more complexity and texture to pho you gotta have it all.

I get a delicious one that has tofu, mushrooms and veggies.🙂 My favourite dish is Vietnamese pancake/crepe (Banh Xeo). Made from rice flour and turmeric, which gives it the yellow colour. Filled with tasty, fresh ingredients. 🤤
The one who’s order was a tofu bahi mi had the most sass. No one ordered the shrimp cup wraps I don’t know the name of them and or the fried egg roll style noodle roll you wrap and serve it with nuoc cham. Yea okay.
Not many authentic Vietnamese restaurants in East Texas. Pho is the only traditional dish I’ve tried and it’s by far the BEST soup I’ve ever had. (I’ve tried multiple types of meat and Veggie variations)
Can you order more than 1 thing?? I would have ordered a banh xeo and BBH with a 3 colour drink. Or bo la lot and bun cha ha noi with an avocado smoothie. Or something with mam. Viet food has so much variety, texture and flavours!
