    Hi Tim, This is my second Kubota, my first was a B2320 which I found a bit small but still did the trick as far as snow and gravel work. I am very pleased with my B2650 and find it to have plenty of power and weight to do all I ask of it. My tires are loaded and it makes all the difference in the world with loader work. As far as the cab goes, if you have ever blown snow a snow storm without a cab as the snow and wind pounds your face its not much fun. No matter how hard you try to blow with the wind, it always seems to be in your face. Between the B and the L I guess it really comes down to the area you will be working in. If in smaller spaces the B will shine, in bigger spaces a little extra weight and hp always helps get the job done faster. Both would serve you well im sure. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for posting. Looks like you got the snow we usually get. We've had an odd winter- have not received anywhere near our normal snowfall. Enjoyed it - cheers!

    Nice video! Is it me or does the whole blower have the ability to angle left or right. Usually only see that on a blade.

    It looks like fun! That’s a nice rig you got there. Any thoughts on tire tread? Are those tires good?
    Do you run ballast in em like beet juice? Looks like large volumes of snow aren’t an issue.

      Hi David! I'm really happy with the turf tires especially in the snow. I dont think you could go wrong. Yes my tires are loaded which makes a huge difference. Both in ride and for loader work. I highly recommend loading the tires. Thanks for watching!

    Front mounted blowers are more expensive, but way easier on the neck. Either that do like may dad did put the bevel gear in the other way, now forward is reverse and reverse is forward turn the seat and controls around and a rear mounted blower becomes a front mounted blower. Problem is tractor not much use for anything else. Did it on an old antique tractor, much easier.

    I am trying to decide between a B50 series and an L series......so I am thinking of horsepower and physical size. Is 25 horse enough for plowing and snow blowing on hilly terrain? Is the cab necessary for snow blowing? It sure is an expensive option. The L series has no mid pto.....thoughts on running a snow blower in back. Is the bigger size/footprint of the L series a benefit? Love your videos, thanks.

      You've probably already bought something as your post was a year ago but I had the same questions when I was shopping for tractors. I opted for the 2650 after hearing and reading about the 3350's regen problems worried that 26 horse with the 64" blower wouldn't be a enough power. The salesman assured me it would be plenty, even to go so far as to tell me if I thought it wasn't they would give me full credit towards a bigger machine and he was right , it has all the power I need. It's a great little machine. I live in the snow belt along Lake Ontario where snowfall easily averages between 200-300" a year, with a 400' driveway and it has no trouble handling all that snow. As for the B vs.L, for the L with a similar setup to what I have, it would have been about another 20 grand to get similar results and probably would have meant having to reframe the overhead door to be able to fit it in the garage as it's about 7" taller than the B, which fits nicely. As for the cab, the 7 grand was a bitter pill to swallow but I am sure glad I did. Being able to clear the driveway in a T-shirt and sweats and not having snow blowing in your face the whole time makes it worth it, not to mention ac in the summer when its 90.

      @@08c6vette How long would it take to clear your driveway with 12 inches of snow? How long do you think it would take to clear a 1 mile cottage road? thanks

    • @08c6vette
      @08c6vette 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markdavies4307 Around an hour to an hour and a half, little more if it's wet heavy stuff. That's taking my time though, driveways mostly gravel. if it was paved and I didn't have to worry about pulling up a rock and breaking a shear pin it would probably be half that. As for a mile long road, probably 20-30' wide, 12" deep, wow, I don't know. I've got pretty much the exact set up as bota driver does, only difference is I've got industrial tires where he has turf tires and as you can see she can move a lot of snow in a hurry but I would guess you would be somewhere around double what he's clearing, maybe more, plus with the exception of some big drifts a lot of what he's clearing looks to be in the 4-8" range, so a really, really rough guess, would be 4-5 hrs. but I could be way off.

    Which is more expensive front or rear mounted blowers?

    • @tlyoungman
      @tlyoungman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Front are quite a bit more expensive than rear. Rear are more universal. Front are more machine specific and require mid pto, front sub frame and a little more tedious install than rear

    Is the tractor with gears or hydrostatic drive ? How many hp had the machine ? The hydrostatic drive is louder ?

    • @botadriver
      @botadriver  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Andi and thanks for watching. This tractor is 26 hp and hydrostatic. Hydro is defiantly louder than a manual tractor.

      better snow snow/ice. same reason big knobby mud tires don't work good, small tighter tread pattern works best on compacted snow, deep snow then the lugs would be preferred but you don't run in deep snow much when you got a blower in front of you.

      He is trying not to throw the snow on anything. Varies the angle quite well as space opens up. Yeah blowing straight forward is not a good idea on long stretches, end up blowing the same snow 2 or three times, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

    • @bradley3549
      @bradley3549 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Couple reasons. 1. You have to work with the wind sometimes. Even with a cab if it's blowing back at you it's a lot harder to see where you are going. 2. Turning around in a confined space sometimes is just more trouble than just reversing straight out. Oh, and 3. Sometimes that's just where you want to put the snow. Hard to blow snow backwards.
