    Nice. What would you say is the best way to find a place in Panglao if you're new to the area and don't know anyone? Looking online runs the risk of wasting time getting catfished by pictures that never match the property. Is it better to drive around on your bike and look for rent signs or hire a real estate agent? Also, are most landlords willing to lower the asking price for 3-6 month stays or longer?

      I lived on Alona Beach for a year and never once opened a dating app. My landlord was confused about where I was getting all the beautiful young Filipinas from. Better to just come and be what they refer to as a butterfly. Butterflies float gracefully from flower to flower, they never stay with just one. Have fun!

      @@hambone5547 Too funny, Hambone. Yeah, depending on a man's goals here, the case can be made to treat condo rentals like dating. Butterflies certainly never get tired of the scenery, The landlords won't complain too much, it's the flowers and their 3-4 brothers you gotta keep an eye out for. 😆

      Treat them honestly and with respect, and you should have no problems with the family. I was cool with the locals and had them trying to hook me up with their friends and family.

    I’m going to start off with saying thank you, for taking the time to inform us of the opportunities available in the Philippines. Royal Palms Quatro? Or Cocobana Resort?
    In my opinion, it’s definitely levels to this ish! As a visitor, I will definitely go with Cocobana Resort. It gives you time to learn the culture and community. As a local/potential local, Royal Palms Quatro gives more so boots on the ground type of vibes. The third bedroom, I will use as my work/office area. It’s small, but big enough to stay focused and creative. The second bedroom will be used for friends/family. It’s 15-20 minutes away from the beach. But maybe a little distance from the mayhem is needed.
    In conclusion, different strokes for different folks! It all depends on what you want to settle for or if you’re willing to stay ambitious and lead by example.

      True that! Many options to choose from. And having lived on Alona Beach, I can tell you options don't stop with housing. There is no shortage of beautiful young Filipinas. There are so many on Panglao that I never even made it to Tagbilaran to find talent. Better to shuffle them in and out than have one try to latch on. Enjoy!

    I will be coming to the Philippines to search for a house to buy not lease with land large enough to have a swimming pool size 10mtrs x 4mtrs. 3 Bedrooms with each bedrm large enough to hold a Kingsize bed with 2 bedside cabinets. I like the look of this sub division which is not far from Alona beach. What size of house was the 8 million pesos property? Sorry internally the 3 bedrm property you showed in your video for me all of the rooms are just way to small. But i agree it is perfect for renting for 1 to 3 months.
    What is the contact details for the builder please?
    I will be selling my house & land in Scotland which at todays foreign exchange rate will give me around 23 million pesos enough for me to buy a very nice house, a new car and a motorbike and money left over to save in a Philippine Bank accounts.

      Sounds like you have a plan sir! We are staying here because it was empty and we got the keys for free for a couple of weeks before we keave to Thailand for a month. Look im making moves for a future house as well. Definately building your own seems to be the way to go. You could build twice the house for that subdivision house money. For 8 million pesos you coukd a western standard house with a pool and all. It will take time but it would be the better play in the end. Stick around and hopefully we can document building our own one day here on this channel.

    Since you’ve been living there for a year, I have a banking question. Did you open a bank account in ph? Curious how you pay for any monthly Bills you’ve had while in the PH.

      Sorry for the late replay. Dale I come for three months and then 4-6weeks back home. Bjt everything is chaning these days. My girl has a local bank account. I use mainly cash or take out money with my european card. They akways charge 5dollars for taking out a maximum of 200dollars from the atm. Cash is king here. Half of the places dont even accept bank card. I am still on a tourist visa. Wich mean I oay 50 dollars every month for a visa extension.

    No good value. Expensive for a place with BAD location (far from Alona and Tagbi), neighbours everywhere (no privacy), no character and nature, no split aircon (?) and no real kitchen.

    • @DoubleTroubleinAsia
      @DoubleTroubleinAsia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes we must agree with you! But since it was for free for us for 2 weeks, we decided to show a fiew options available and where we are staying. For a longer period we would also looks for something different.

    Wow that is very expensive for Philippines

    • @DoubleTroubleinAsia
      @DoubleTroubleinAsia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on all where you are located sir. Maybe can have cheaper resort prices but not much here in Panglao. Inland Bohol can rent a room for 100 dollars a month. But thats all it is…a room nowhere. But we agree…even better deals are aivlable especially when willing to commit longer term.

      Well sir we are staying in the house for free. We agree it would not be our home home too. I must remind you we are in Panglao island. Prices here are 2-3x higher than inland the big island of Bohol.
