Indeed, we need to take the day off depending on how your body reaction. Rest is the most important thing to wait for the tissue to recover. Otherwise, our body will get injured! Nice sharing 👍
I switched from a 6 day split to a 4 day split, I feel so much better and stronger, I use to have night sweats every night and did not know I was over trained,
38 years is impressive, and the heavy squat is awesome. 40 years old here, and I'm a new fan of Nick Best. I might have some potential. I just got a gym finished, and all I want to do is lift weight. I don't think there is anything to debate with Nick. Keep up the good work! Cheer's from Oregon country!
Being in my mid 40s, 280 lbs & lifted heavy for 30 ish years, your advice has been golden. Especially when I am at a point where i have to listen to my body more. Thank you for your amazing content and wisdom brother.
Nick! Long time fan, love your content! Life gets in the way and sleep as important as it is, becomes a luxury most days. Reaching 40 very soon and that's what I teach my clients as well. Periodization is key! 3-4 days per week is perfect for powerlifting and strongman for the working person. Sleep is number one, nutrition and how we train are second, that's for sure brother!
I've struggled with training too frequently for years. Sounds crazy to type that, but it's true. Thanks for reminding me to make rest and recovery a priority.
