Hi Robert. Thanks for sharing your story. I didn’t mention it in the videos but I have at least three bats that patrol above my home each night. The bats coupled with the flow from does a pretty good but not perfect job at killing mosquitoes. Thanks for watching pal.

We had a mild winter, so none of the bugs froze over the past several months, so now they are all coming out. I bought a flowtron also, but not like that one. I have to brush it off every morning. I also turn it off in the morning since the seem to only come out when the sun is down. So its plugged into a smart plug. Also, in order to get moths and the bigger dragon flies, I trimmed the plastic shield around the zapper so they would land on the metal and not on the plastic. So the plastic mesh is gone, and only the vertical pieces to keep it together are there now. And I started getting way more after that. The only complaint I have about mine is that the voltage seems too low. Instead of just an instant zap and fall to the ground, they sit on the wiring and slowly burn, then stick over night. Hi s mcchristy! Thanks for sharing the feedback. Each morning I have been removing seemingly hundreds of mosquitoes as well. Glad you’re having good results like I am.
not sure if I posted here but I have one of the originals and its like 40 years old and other than a new bulb after 20 years and taking the top off to clean it of dead stuff and spary some WD40 in there it still out there working. I added the octenol attractant thing on the bottom now too, with eit in with some trist ties the tape lets go in wet conditions, but it works without it as well. The trick with these zappers is to mount them low like 4 feet off the ground and have them on a timer going on each night around 3 to 4 pm and off around midnight. Also they are a bit bright so make sure they are not next to a neighbor or block the light on their side with some cardboard. The other trick is that dead bugs attract dead bugs so once there is a buildup of dead things on the electric grid it works even better. As far as where they should be placed, I have mine away from where I hang out, about 20 feet away. I also add a fly and nat catcher, which is a fan blown ultraviolet LED sucker thing you add soapy water to a pan below the fan, That catches an amazing amount of nats. Again the more dead things in the bottom the better it seems to work. The nat things have a switch on top so cover it with water resistant tape to keep water out of the electronics of these things.
They make another mosquito trap that uses a combination of propane to replicate body heat, octenol for sweat, and LED lights to replicate movement. It uses two methods to kill. One being a fan that draws them in, and if that doesnt get them, a striped-sticky paper gets them, which replicates stripes on an animal.

I have one of these from the late 70s early 80s. It ran for 35 years before the transformer died a few days ago. Are the new flowtrons as good in quality as the old ones? I'm not sure if I should just get a new transformer for my old zapper or just get a new one. No Harry don't look at the light! Harry: I can't help it it's so beautiful ZAP Ahhhhhhh.
Be careful! My unit like this one just caught fire and almost burned our house down. Luckily I was close by and it only burnt our teak table and rug. These are dangerous and should only be on when you are nearby!
"my unit like this one" - can you name the brand/model? Was it one of those cheap China units? Flowtron has a very good track record being high quality units.
Mosquito Bug Zapper kills more of the beneficial bugs than actual flys or mosquitos. I don't wanna kill lady bugs, fireflies, butterflies, and more cool bugs that help the garden.

Hi Pray, my flowtron still works amazing this long after making the video. My flowtron is a mosquito death machine til this day. Thank you for watching!
Oh I see. I’ll be honest I’m not exactly sure why not a certain distance from the house. I would say however that the height does appear to make a difference, too low or too high and you don’t seem to kill as many mosquitos. I keep mine now at about 6ft high and it seems to do a great job!
Because it ATTRACTS the bugs to the light to kill them. You don't want it close to the house or where you are sitting because it will just attract the mosquito's closer to you.
Some of these zappers have been known to catch fire. Not sure if it's from being left out in the rain or what. It should also be kept away from where people are eating. Zapped insect parts can go flying off several feet away.
Saw the moth carcasses and knew this is the one for me. Bought another model/brand and the damn things can't even fit through the plastic grate to get into the killing field. They just swarm around it bouncing off, useless. Ordered this off Amazon and it should be killing moths by Monday night. And I'll be loving every zap-fry moment... Thanks... (Imagine that. I'm in Florida but mosquitos are not at all my issue. It's the damn moths)

You would think the bigger number is the better one, Was getting tired of the cheap chinese amazon zappers blowing up on me all the time and finally splurged on a flowtron I just hope the 40D isnt actually a piece of garbage compaired to this.
Hi Debra I suppose it would because the mosquitoes are attracted to the light and the attractant or smell So I think it would. I just don’t know because I unplug mine when I had to work for the day so I’ve never tried it during the day. If you do please let me know how it works out I’m interested Deborah. Thanks for watching
In my area (southern California) mosquitos, & gnats are out, & about day & nite) & therefore I would leave it running 24hrs. And it's not pointless killing.. it's deliberate killing of these undesired insect pests.
Just hooked up a Black Flag zapper with the bait... so far (only a couple of nights) I'm not impressed... Yours looks like more dead moths than mosquito's...Mosquito's are EVIL and must be DESTROYED!

Hi Foka. Thanks for the update, let us know how your mosquitoes massacre works out for you! :)
Where the fuck is the post you promised?!
Can you leave it outside meaning does rain mess with it ? Thanks
How long does the attractant last and needs to be changed?
It lasts a few weeks. What I do is I take some of my gym clothes and hang them near the mosquito zapper. The mosquitoes love my smelly workout clothes and it kills them all.
thanks for the review, Im getting one for my minor mosquito problem...fck'm
‘Atta boy advanced! Give em hell!
4:56 Does the lady in the background come with the zapper?
Hi Sean. That’s actually my brother at 4:56, what’s your address? He can be over by dinner with bug zapper in hand.
@Tanner Peatson What's wrong with feeling gay?
I have one of these from the late 70s early 80s. It ran for 35 years before the transformer died a few days ago. Are the new flowtrons as good in quality as the old ones? I'm not sure if I should just get a new transformer for my old zapper or just get a new one.
No Harry don't look at the light! Harry: I can't help it it's so beautiful ZAP Ahhhhhhh.
Hi. Yes this Flowtron is good quality and I believe it’ll last for years. I’d suggest buying a new one.
Hey… just wanna ask weather it creates a minor buzzing sound while in use? Plz do let me know
should be normal.
I believe it comes from the high voltage transformer
How often do you have to replace the mosquito attractant?
I replace it once a month Rod. Thanks for watching pal.
@@TheComebackKid where do you purchase the repellent ? And will this BK15D work for zapping gnats ?
does it zap mosquitos during daylight too?
Honestly 30%of what I catch are mosquitoes the rest are just innocent moths.
Moth killer!!
@itzamia Good one - great reply :)
@itzamia I don't always get notified that people have commented on a comment unless they are replying to a second one which highlights the name
nice review
Hi pople, thanks for watching!
Mosquito Bug Zapper kills more of the beneficial bugs than actual flys or mosquitos. I don't wanna kill lady bugs, fireflies, butterflies, and more cool bugs that help the garden.
Nice vid man i just bought a bug zapper for our property we have alot of woods and field to. Ours is a toloco zapper was that ur wifey in the background with yalls dogg german shepherd looked like.
Hi David! Thanks for watching pal!
Your welcome bud.
Get fogger as well. Fog the whole area at dusk and raise that bad boy in the air all night to slaughter the rest.
Mosquitoes are attracted to light?
Does it also work for stink bugs?
Hi Acid, I have not seen a stink bug killed by my zapper so I'm leaning towards no. Thanks for watching
@@TheComebackKid Thank you, I'll still give it a try
Do these work? I swear I’m the only one who’s gets bit in my house literally.. nobody but me idk why ... I’m always swinging in the air when I see one ...
i had a friend who had on right in his backyard. would zap the fuckers every couple seconds, theyre good. check the ratings before buying one
Could be....some peoples blood attract them more. They should do a study of that hahhaha I'm serious.
I already have a zapper. Wondering if I could just buy the Octenol by itself and just stick to my current zapper?
Yes
@@TheComebackKid Thanks for reply. Bought it yesterday
Good to go Alex, now get off TH-cam and get to killing them mosquitoes!
@@TheComebackKid No I need to get off youtube and concentrate on work! lmao
what type of extension cord did you use ?
Hi Marilyn. I used a regular old orange extension cord you buy from Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Walmart. Thanks for watching!
@@TheComebackKid You should change your connectors for Neutrik "PowerCon True1" (waterproof mains connectors)... ;)
"The mosquitoes get aroused" 😂😂😂
Did the pole come with unit
No, if you watch again, it was already their when he was opening the box.
I wonder if it''ll work on my sister-in-law
Does it work on flies, I dont like those fly catching things. They're gross
Yes it works on flies.
Does it attract horse flies?
Not to sure it’s good to be looking into that uv light it could cause harm if exposed for to long
If I were a mosquito I would agree.
6 to 8 feet in the air. Not 2 to 4 bud!!!!
+9595amber dear mosquito police, you caught me red handed you are correct about the height. This video is strictly for mosquito testing purposes. Thanks for liking and subscribing!
🦟😑
I need the best bulb?
any updates ?
Hi Pray, my flowtron still works amazing this long after making the video. My flowtron is a mosquito death machine til this day. Thank you for watching!
4:30 You almost ended up like a bug..
haha :)
@@TheComebackKid yeeeeeeeeah I was like oh oh oh ooooooh two hands two hands!!!!!!!!
Why does it have to be in a certain distance from the house?
Hi myrandomnick, apologies, what hose does though speak of?
PAHHKtheCAHHR auto "correction". House, not hose
Will this work on killing gnats ?
Hi Sigh, not sure, I do "gnat" know.
@@TheComebackKid They work xlnt....killed off most all the gnats within a month..
+John Palermo John, first off thanks for watching and subscribing. Secondly, glad the video was helpful, each night when I plug this in both mosquitoes and moths quiver in fear as they know it will be their last night. Enjoy the Zapper!
how did this work out? you bought the exact one in video?
Hi Bruise! It worked out well. I did see a noticeable decrease in the sheer number of mosquitos attacking me and my family. To be clear, I still get the occasional mosquito in my heard but it worked great!
John Palermo I think that’s part of the same issue I’m having here with this POS. I’ll be getting the 15D
@@nicholls611 cut every other bar out with some Klien side cutters and enjoy the moth carnage!
Is it waterproof?

My mosquitoes fluorescent light zapper quit working after 3 years. I need to know how to repair it?
Hi Carolin, I would recommend buying a new Flowtron bug zapper for $30, you’ll spend more trying to repair your old Zapper.
The fix is right there in your wallet.
How to clean?
Cant wait until the aliens invent one of these for humans. The light is blue for a reason!
👽👽👽👽👽👽👽
Not hard to make one!
ah crap! I bought the 40D
so did I actually get the inferior one?
You would think the bigger number is the better one,
Was getting tired of the cheap chinese amazon zappers blowing up on me all the time and finally splurged on a flowtron
I just hope the 40D isnt actually a piece of garbage compaired to this.
Ok thumbs up because you have a GSD! :)
Does it work by day?
Hi Debra I suppose it would because the mosquitoes are attracted to the light and the attractant or smell So I think it would. I just don’t know because I unplug mine when I had to work for the day so I’ve never tried it during the day. If you do please let me know how it works out I’m interested Deborah. Thanks for watching
Why would you leave it on, if you’re not outside chilling.. that’s just pointless killing.
#mosquitolivesmatter
Amen!
In my area (southern California) mosquitos, & gnats are out, & about day & nite) & therefore I would leave it running 24hrs.
And it's not pointless killing.. it's deliberate killing of these undesired insect pests.
When you have your face a foot away with your mouth wide open....safety goggles and a mask are suggested.
You look like you know a lot of good dad jokes
Knock knock...
@@TheComebackKid Who's there?
I want to know what the viewers who disliked think about it.
I think because most of the video is him yapping and there is barely any good bug zapping footage.
The correct pronunciation of Mosquito is "Moskito".
This guy is my friend
Yes we grew up together in North Korea. Long time no talk Gustavo! How are you my childhood friend?
BEST WAY TO CLEAN BUGS CAUGHT INSIDE =AIR GUN/COMPRESSED AIR. BUGS GET DRIED OUT AND BREAK APART WITH HIGH PRESSURE AIR.
Use a hair blower dryer on cool.
I am going to get one
This guy love's zapping!
He's 👀 r fried!
Derek, be sure to check out my new video with my seeing eye dog that I made after I stared at my bug zapper for too long. Thanks for subscribing!
fucking sold. Hope you're getting residuals.
Got fried. Bahahaha jeez dont taze me bro!!!
Im only getting moths in it…
Buy some Thermacell repellers
Just hooked up a Black Flag zapper with the bait... so far (only a couple of nights) I'm not impressed... Yours looks like more dead moths than mosquito's...Mosquito's are EVIL and must be DESTROYED!
Hi who. After using my flowtron zapper for a few years, when I use mosquito attractant, I probably kill a few hundred mosquitoes per night. Thanks for watching.
Your a MONSTER! Mosquitos have soles too! #Mosquitolivesmatter
