There was a card submitted with that name that was the first one out of the video at #11, didn't want to steal the pun!
I designed Gill, the Driving element with this concept in mind: Murloc decks are usually very aggressive in early game, but if they get slowed down by control they run out of steam pretty easily and struggle to recover from there.
Gill completely changes that by making your deck slowly evolve over the course of the game, your murlocs get more value as the game progresses. Even though adapting for 1 mana is not always tempo efficient, I thought that murloc synergies on larger minion bodies may be what it takes to make this game plan actually viable.
Just imagine drawing all 5 evolutionary effects on the first 5 cards..m
I just thought that Scargill would work a bit too perfectly with Gill tbh. What do you think?

The best thing about Gill, the driving element is that he triggers when all your minions are Murlocs, which means you can still use spells.

Not only would it be insane, it would severely limit the pirate synergies you could put in the game (the rogue has access to), at least while it is in standard, and possibly forever. I like the theme, but it should be an aura, and the minion could have the stealth for one turn.

Bruno Delmastro you obviously are a competitive player which means you have come to the wrong video it's a well designed card from a fun standpoint and it might effect standard a little bit but limiting pirate rogue is fine with me, in fact I don't ever want it to be what it was again, I'd rather have Murloc rogue
@@drquantum583 "fun standpoint" doesn't mean a thing, cause a card like that would do exact opposite of "fun", severely limiting the ability of blizzard of creating new cards.
I can understand if a card in this list is OP cause of its numbers of stuff like that ("maybe it should cost 2 mana more but the idea is fun!"), this card idea is NOT "fun" at all.

Your Nerglish is awful. It's mrrrggk, not Mmmgrk! those mean completely different things! As you pronounce it, the text is "AT the start of a character is healed, draw a warlock"

Captain Cookie is also a tavern brawl card same battle cry turn ur murlocs into pirates something Blizzard already thought of but didn't officially make it into a card to use in every game play, it still is a good Tavern Brawl card

As a fun note for Murky in shaman, ice fishing would instantly revive him *and* draw you 2 murlocks for the price of one card, so that's pretty solid.
I LOVE Nerglish! It should come with a counter card given to your opponent they can cast their next turn. Like King Togglewoggle or whatever that card is called. Or the card only changes the text of the cards that are in your hands only, not your deck. Both of those options will make it fun but easy on newbies

If you have Echo- murloc. You can use Murky for about 4 time if you are in turn ten, since Murk has a rush, it can attack after 2 murlocs everytime

The trouble with the 'magnetise' keyword is that it essentially gives a minion charge, something that Blizzard has been moving away from.
This might be a dumb question, but where does all the artwork for these custom cards come from? I'm sure it's not all from one source but I've always been curious where folks get this artwork.

-On turn 7 spend all your mana to play a single Bluegill Warrior with charge and stealth(x5)
I like the idea of the card but it REALLY needs some condition like "no adaptations can be repeated".
Also I'm assuming Evolutionary Event would draw a card after casting, same as every other "auto-cast shuffle into your deck" card (Nerubians, The Darkness Candles, Scrolls of Wonder, etc.) or it would be tempo suicide
Casts when drawn makes you draw another card. You usually wouldn't draw all 5 evolutionary event by turn 7, and if it's your turn, you get to choose the adaptation among three different ones, so you wouldn't pick stealth 5 times. I don't think there would be a consistent way to exploit the adaptations on a charging murloc and one shot you opponent either, since the adaptations would show up randomly as always. Do you agree?

I feel I have played long enough to grasp the synergies and want to participate! But what I am curious to know is where do you guys source for such great artwork??! I really loved them all, especially Seafood Chef! An orc in a kitchen wearing a chef hat? That's priceless! Seriously guys, where??
A lot of the time you can just google "warcraft chef artwork" if you're looking for a chef, and find something cool. I also recommend going to: www.blizz-art.com/wowtcg/48/ to grab artwork from the old TCG.

I would love to see an episode on cards that switch their attack and hp each turn. (My guess is we will see more of this mechanic in the next expansion.)
i feel like these creators completely forgot that call in the finishers is a thing in wild. murloc magi + call in the finishers + lava burst is a 10 mana deal 9 dmg and leave behind 5 minions. Also it would easily reduce the cost of a card like Abomfination down to 8 mana and provided you play call in the finishers on curve at 4 mana and had summoned at least 3 other murlocs it would reduce it by 7 giving you a 5 mana 8/8

Second Wave is also very very similar to Soul of the Forest but it's also a high risk high reward variation because of the randomness.
Would the murloc boom suit give the mech tag to your murloc, allowing you to magnetize even more mechs to it?

Regis, I love those intros! Also, can you try to make a custom card challenge with secret efffects on cards other than secrets, like the Druid minion with secret Deathrattle.
I made a card like this on my own, it is like this:
Name: Possessed Doomsayer
Cost: 5
ATT/HP: 0/7
Choose One (Secretly):
At the start of your turn, destroy ALL minions
or
set this minion's Attack to 7
It combines classic Doomsayer with the 5 mana 7/7 Doomsayer and add lots of mindgames to the card :) I hope you guys like it :)
That looks pretty good. I think it would be better at 4 mana though. Maybe even 3.
@@andrewrenshaw2741 Either one of those isn't good at all for your opponent, so they'll likely just remove it without a thought of what the deathrattle is. Think, do people often leave the validated doomsayer on the board anyway? What may be more interesting is something like "...destroy all minions" or "...set the attack of all minions to 7." It makes a situation where your opponent needs to take a risk either way, dedicating a lot to the board in hopes of them all getting 7 attack, or keeping their board small and/or sinking 7 attack into the doomsayer to eliminate the threat of a board clear.
@@katto4073 Yeah, that's why I suggested the lower cost. But I like your idea! I'd give that a 5 or 6 mana tag for sure.
It's not a good design. It's just a validated doomsayer with an option to make it a 2 mana card instead. There isn't any mind games. If your opponent has the board, he want to kill it. If he does't have the board, you'd play it as a 7/7.
I like to imagine that Finley is not affected by the Nerglish Dictionary

Maaannn! If I knew this was gonna be Murlocs, I would've resubmitted my submission for Simple Card Design... Redfin Raider, 2 mana 2/2 Murloc with rush. Yea, you can argue that's power creep on Bluegill Warrior, but at the same time, we see Blizzard try more and more to turn away from Charge and even more into Rush. I think if a 3 mana 3/3 with rush is ok, 2 mana 2/2 should be as well, right?
Also, I really wish they would at least allow Warsong Commander to radiantly buff friendly rush minions too, since they seem to be basically replacing warrior's charge theme with one of rush with each expansion... I mean, isn't about time we've seen an actual card buff by now? Seriously, 4, almost 5 years of Hearthstone, and never a single card buffed (let alone a buff made to bring a Horrendously Murdered card to see some amount of play again rather than "not any play ever again").
Even with it buffing the rush cards, it'd still be garbage though. 3 mana 2/3 for a +1 attack buff on rush is still bad. Not complete garbage like the original one but still not constructed good.
