I still remember when Kripp played the game completely blindfolded and only relies on hearing the sound of card his opponents played and his wife telling him which side (lef or right) on the board the car was played. He kicked ass in that challenge.
See, part of me hopes he does a jeopardy-esque thing with this series. Have multiple people on, present a card, then the first one to "buzz" in gets to decide if it's real or fake and why in the case of the latter.
There was a gameshow called Streamer Showdown, that had segments like that, finding errors in cards, trivia, identifying cards by a part of their image, etc. It even had the game designer Ben Brode in a few episodes, and it's pretty impressive how well he knew the game.
As someone who's been playing HS since closed beta and who started following Kripp around Naxx or GvG, hearing him tell all of these old war stories makes me incredibly nostalgic. Good times indeed.
14:18 this weapon was a pretty powerful card in odd Paladin, the extra recruits, divine shield and attack boost you could get from this were quite powerful.
Love the series (and Kripp lmao) Rarran I started watching you around forged in the barrens and remember you uploading a video where you just weren’t happy with the game and feeling some burnout. A year later you’re putting out the best non gameplay related hearthstone content! Keep it up man
8:38 LOL. I really like this content dude, i am a fan of Kripp. Unfortunately I don't like to play battlegrounds so I rarely watch the man anymore. Cheers to both of you!
They kept saying Junkbot was from gadgetzan, but I was so sure that it was from goblins vs gnomes, since I tried my best to make it work but the card just wasn't very good. They even played the GvG trailer. I looked it up and he is from GvG, not gadgetzan.
I highly enjoy how well you guys play off one another, kripps dry sense of humor but highly analytical mind works so well when combined with your analytical skills, creative mind and light-hearted humor. Kuddos.
Love this series of videos. I forgot that the mega-windfury elemental was ever in BGs. I kinda remember it coming in, being stupid broken, people complaining and it swiftly got removed
11:05 I feel like this about Legends of Runeterra, I’ve been playing league for about 10 years at this point and can’t stand it anymore. But when I’m playing LOR and I throw down a Swain and says something like “KNEEL BEFORE NOXUS” my inner child jumps up in excitement.
13:36 so it should be obvious from that art that it’s a minion, and Krip instantly calls it a weapon, he knows maul it’s a strong card but has the minion border and not the dark weapon border
I started watching because of the mercenaries videos cause i wanted to try mercs at the time. Since then you exploded into a great fun and unique hs TH-camr with creative ideas who brings the hs community together. Your views exploded as well, shows everything can be turned into sth interesting with creativity! Keep it up man, you re doing awesome, hope you re also having fun!!
i played very little hearthstone and exclusively free to play and i got some cards before kripp, though i write that down to a notable difference in enthusiasm and him being generally a pretty slow paced person.
Kripp used to be among the most hardcore of gamers in his day. This man was nuts. He was one of the best hunters of WotLK, was member of one of the best guilds, and was also one of the two people that managed to beat Diablo 3's Heroic Inferno pre-nerf (that other person was his own buddy). It's barely any surprise that those talents carried over to his Hearthstone career
aww when kripp said ''in arena you wouldn't really encounter any legendaries'' now every deck I face has like 2 legendaries drafted on top of discoveries lul
to answer Kripp's question about why Whirlwind Tempest was removed, a dev on Battlegrounds said that it was almost entirely due to Al'Akir completely breaking it.
God I would've loved to see Kripp's face when you said "Yeah, for sure dude" That split second of thinking he was right before you snatch it away from him would've been golden to see
That first elemental. I knew the art and new it was 4 mana and 4/4 or something like that. Didn't even read the text. So, i was right it was wrong, but for a different reason. I guess some participants would have better results if they would just say right or wrong without explaining. But it is more fun to watch their train of thought :)
when i started watching your content it was a video about how hearthstone wasn't fun anymore and I didn't like that you were making a popular video with a negative outlook on the game. But as I've watched more of your content I've found you to be a very entertaining guy and I appreciate all the attention that you're bringing in to the game. So thanks!
18:58 I was rewatching the video while I was playing hearthstone myself. I just unpacked Splitting Spacerock and I witnessed the huge powercreep we got today :/
The colors triggered me off on Hydra. I was "Was that stone always grey? What? No, it's a wood creature...". And than it got to me - I got used to seeing this card as green, cause that's a Hunter card :)
10:53 thank u Kripp the amount of times I play arena and discover a beast and see north see kraken with killer stats and effect for cost makes me happy without u we could never discover this op card
What would be really sneaky is to take a famous card with iconic text, then show a previous version of it that was changed that no one knows about, so they recognize the card, see the text is wrong, say its fake, but its actually real.
08:40 I had a really good warrior deck which played this and that one guy which exchanges decks w/ your opponent (Togwaggle, I think?) and that one 6 mana guy that destroys all 1-mana cards in your opponents' deck. I remember doing pretty well w/ it.
As a non-Hearthstone I thought that Deadly Arsenal was fake because it looked like Pathfinder RPG art. Instead it's artwork by Wayne Reynolds the guy who did the artwork for the first 12 Pathfinder RPG books cover art.
Thanks for watching! Please subscribe if you enjoyed!
Please make one with dane
I wanna see one with leeacer, I know it probably won't happen but I want it

Love seeing you creating content with krip. its awesome!!!
Kripp's rant about north sea kraken and icehowl at 9:30 is the greatest thing I have ever heard thank you for including the entire 1.5 minuets of it.
Glad someone agrees that trolls are cool. Favorite race in wow by a landslide

Visualization is one of the most important skills to play card games
Kripp would've been an insane chess player if he put the time into it
See, part of me hopes he does a jeopardy-esque thing with this series. Have multiple people on, present a card, then the first one to "buzz" in gets to decide if it's real or fake and why in the case of the latter.
Perhaps just having it be "What is fake" and make it more obscure with the higher points.
There was a gameshow called Streamer Showdown, that had segments like that, finding errors in cards, trivia, identifying cards by a part of their image, etc. It even had the game designer Ben Brode in a few episodes, and it's pretty impressive how well he knew the game.
Thats an amazing idea
He did some "Hearthstone Jeoparino" with Amaz and Noxious way back in the day. Even had Ben Brode on several occasions
@@Brenosakaguti The one they did with Toast was my favourite
Kripp said so much about that maul without even realizing it's in a minion frame instead of a weapon one lmao
to be fair weapons have frames now dont they, so we are used to them
Well its not outside the realm of possibility in warcraft to have a sentient weapon, but yeah it would have to be named differently.

Yeah, and neither of them corrected Krip when he said that its a Gatgezan card.
Kripp getting triggered by the beast tag and going on a vegan lore rant had me rolling and took me back man, awesome guest for an awesome series
You have my like for the vegan part
He probably remembers Junkbot at 4 mana because at the time, Mechwarper was a must in every mech deck. That reduced the cost of all your mechs by (1)
nah I think it's because Junkbot was a tavern 4 minion, also 4 mana sounds reasonable for its stats and effect.
@@toyuyn True! that could also definitely be a reason too
@@toyuyn he was also a tier 5 minion in BG tho!

Yup, I keep coming back to this episode for this very reason
I miss old hearthstone and old kripp...

Hearing Kripp saying “North Sea Kray-ken” brings back some memories

Kripparian: Single handedly taking down the guild Exodus by refusing to bring Kaywarrior to his Diablo 3 team. Such a good guy, much love to Kripp.

Just keep bringing in Kripp, he's great
Kripp's intense obsessive energy is so much more charismatic in these videos than his reputation suggests
Time to go binge some Kripp 12 win runs from back in the day.
It's awesome how you can see that Rarran is a fan of the people he have on his show
I can't believe no one noted how similar you two look.
I can't believe yall just kept saying Gadgetzan when you REALLY meant Goblins vs Gnomes, and that made it past the cutting room floor...

Superb episode 🎉🎉 I just love Kripp❤
Hahah it's really fun watching you and Kripp nerd out over obscure cards. I'm glad that he had a ton of fun as well!
Thanks for bringing in Kripp again. Legendary on his own!
9:34 ah it's been a long time since i heard Kray-ken. Thanks for this!
Before watching I have a feeling doing all the cards custom is going to mess up kripp because you don't make the text have the same spacing
Always be sure that Kripparrian out of most streamers should be just the best.
Can't believe Rarran was able to TRIP the KRIP on those battleground cards. Well played good sir
He skipped the krip
I loved hearing kripp talk about the history of the beasts like icehowl, was awesome.

This is the best hearthstone content on TH-cam to be honest.
I missed when Kripp played Hearthstone
At Junkbot I was like "Goblins vs Gnomes, not Gadgetzan..."

The rant and background story about the beast type is so interesting and relatable!
Very cool to have small intermissions of you basically interviewing Kripparrian in this one
11:36 think thats honestly the reason hearthstone has survived so long, the connection to the warcraft IP.
Kripp should get the point for a success on the unidentified maul

There is an obscure mage treasure from Rastakans rumble that shares art with the battlegrounds dragon that doubled it's attack when it attacks
storytime with Kripp after every question was the best part of any of these videos

Just to mess with Krip, you should throw in some Duels cards every so often.
Ohhh came home and let's goo fresh Do You Know Hearthstone
You should try making a "Do You Know Hearthstone?" battlegrounds edition video.Sounds really fun.
I think the pool is too small
Oh, I love how you used my video of Icehowl. Such honor.
It is very funny since that video shows a bug we had on our private server back in the day :D

Remember that time when Kripp drafted something like 7 flamestrikes in Arena? I member. (not sure if it was 7, but it was a lot!)
It's super interesting to me that the card art seemed easier for me than Krip! praise
We are waiting the moment when , video from Rarran is uploaded " do you know hearthstone Rarran?"
Oh my goodness, the sequel to the best episode =O
I have so much fun watching these series, I paused half way to like and comment on the video, incredibly fun video Rarran thank you
