The biggest insult to me is that this event takes place DURING Sakura season. It just completely kills the vibe I just want to enjoy my pink trees without these EGGS everywhere!!
I'm sure for people that like the furniture, this is great, but I personally find the bunny day furniture so ugly, and all the sakura diy's you can get from balloons are taken up by bunny day diy balloons instead.
lol try playing in the southern hemisphere...we get the pink trees in OCTOBER, trying to decorate for halloween and the trees are pink lmao

I'm not sure if this is true or I just got lucky but, I think they removed the egg diys. I haven't seen a single bunny day bottle.
I think the Bunny Day hate comes from the fact that it was the first holiday and people were just starting out with New Horizons. There weren’t a lot of options to gain money. Fishing was one of the few, and getting items from balloons was such a blessing. But imagine all of that replaced with eggs, even farming for crafting items became so infuriating. But in today’s time, I find Bunny Day not so annoying, because I just enjoy it for what it is without having to worry about wasted items and bells. It just came at the wrong time.
That first Bunny Day was a traumatic experience.

The fact that in the midst of the first Bunny day event they had to adjust the rates of eggs you know the event was a problem.
This was actually the first bunny day that I’ve actually gotten to participate in, and it was really fun!! I’m sure next year it’ll be annoying as heck lol

I first started playing Animal Crossing right around the time Bunny Day started back in 2020. I honestly got a ton of bells from the eggs, so I never understood the hate for it 😂 Now I get how it can be frustrating when you're trying to catch a fish to fill out your museum, only to get a ton of eggs, but if you're looking for money, the eggs are great.
My fishing tournament took place during bunny week recently, and fishing up an egg every other fish I caught was annoying because it brought down my score, because I really wanted some of the items you can win from fish tournaments. (Luckily I got them, it just took longer than it should have)

I've stopped fossils from spawning by burying some in a hidden spot so I don't get little holes all over the place (unless it rains) but during Bunny week my island looks a mess - then there's the dumb tree eggs that ruin the pink trees and the vibes - I don't think anything compares to the constant balloon sounds though - they're so persistent you can almost still hear them when you turn the game off 😑 - Halloween and Toy Day only last 1 day each so why a whole week of eggs over the sakura holiday and the Fishing Tourney - I would have got 8 fish and broke my personal record if one of them hadn't been an egg 😑

It still irks me to this day that Nintendo has done nothing to even hot fix bulk crafting.
A good metric would be how many bells per minute can you earn not how much it sells for covering the island
How much per island can be simply multiplying the value per square and how many squares you have

While I love Easter and loved to set up egg hunts for my cousins and brother, I didn't like the event. I even debated if it was worth my time to even take part because I already got everything (I think my first time around) and I luckily avoided the first bunny day the game had since I heard the egg spamming was way worse than it is now. This bunny day was a bit more annoying in the game because I had a guaranteed gold nugget from Katrina's fortune and I kept getting eggs! So basically I missed out on that gold nugget on bunny day. The next day I got the same fortune and this time got the guaranteed gold nugget so I'm good now.
I did my first bunny day festivities this year and I had fun getting into the completionist mindset and crafted every item. I had to grind a lot towards the end. Then after going to all the trouble I got... a recipe for a wand. I don't even like using wands 🤦 I would have preferred clothes that weren't dresses, like an Easter tux would be awesome. Oh well, the wobble toy is pretty cute, at least.
First bunny day was too long, but it also took place during lockdowns when players weren't expected to play that much. They fixed the duration now, for one that is appropriate for casual players.
Always found the eggs and furniture beautiful, and the way to get them all is diverse.
I think that the hatred for it is completely overblown. I could understand it at launch kinda, but now I don't get it at all.
Also Zipper is an interesting character in his own right.

I started playing in late April i think, so i just missed the first bunny day. Since i didnt have the traumatic experience the rest of you had, i kinda like bunny day. It’s definitely too long tho.

I happened to start playing again around this time, but I hadn't had a wifi connection yet. I guess I should be happy I didn't have to go through all of this.
This has been my first…bunny season…even tho I’m a long time Nintendo player (back to NES days) I somehow never played Animal Crossing (always thought it was for little kids…oops!) Anyway, got a Switch for Christmas after being off video games for about 10 years, and was recommended Animal Crossing because I like “cute” games and “cosy” games…and was pretty much addicted after playing aimlessly for an hour or so…then binge watching a bunch of your videos so I could get a clue as to what in the world I was supposed to be doing (I was the person who followed the strategy guides - aka ‘cheater books’ as we lovingly called them - step by step…I wanted every secret object, lol.) Sooo…I was dreading bunny day…and like clowns and ventriloquist dummies, Zipper the Monster creeped me out on sight, and then at night, jumped out at me from behind a tree…I loathe Zipper!!) The eggs themselves are pretty, and the objects are pretty as well…(minus the outfits, apart from the Bunny Dress) but Zipper himself is just bad. I’m very glad he’s gone, and I’m very glad some video gave the tip to make all the eggs into something before you sell them to earn extra bells! I wouldn’t have a problem with the event beyond Zipper himself (shudder!) but, it completely overlaps Cherry Blossom time…and that is so short, and it’s so pretty. I wish they could be separated out (or just have Cherry Blossom time last another 2 weeks.) Beyond that, I’m now fully addicted to this game and upset that no one was as excited as I was to have Isabelle FINALLY tell me I had a 5 Star Island!!! 😅 Thanks, Koramora, love your humor…and as a scientist, I love your science and spreadsheets and stats! Thanks for the entertainment and information, very appreciated.

@@mazzy_ivy I know, right?! Yesterday, I finally found the white flower…I need to have it in a special location, lol! My island looks like a complete disaster cause I just threw DIYs and objects everywhere, grew a bunch of flowers, put in bridges (the one incline I put in seemed to finally do the trick…) I have no theme, and no organization at all. But, I want to do that now…now, it’s “pick a theme.” It’s been a lot easier to see themes I don’t want to do (Cottage Core, Spring Core, Fairy Core) than ones I do. I need to go check out some ideas now that Cherry Blossom and Bunny Day events are over. I’m having so much fun with this! And we still have our old Game Cube and Wii (and probably a DS lying around in some box) which makes me want to get the old games and play those, also! This came at a great time for me, additionally as I was waiting for the new Sims 4 Growing Together to come out…and see if I could regenerate any interest in playing it…I bought it…all I’ve played is Animal Crossing, lol.

For once I’m excited for bunny day this year. Picked up the game again after I stopped playing in 2021, got my bf addicted to it, and this will be his experience with Bunny Day. Can’t wait to see all the emotions we went through when the game first came out 😈

i actually dont have much against bunny day , i think the furniture is cute and i like that you have more than one day to complete it unlike previous games . but i wasnt there for the first one and id probably like it less if i was lol

speaking of festivale (at the end), the day before festivale bitty reserved a plot on my island. i think almost, if not everyone, in the animal crossing community has some beef with bitty, and i am no exception. i dreaded her moving in, especially because im playing with most of the hardcore rules from nintentalk and cant just ignore her hoping she moves. the day of festivale, i grinded to get every color of every piece of festivale furniture because i felt like it, and in the process got 5 of the floats. i actually didnt know you could get multiple floats and placed the first one next to bittys house. then i got the second one, and a wicked plan formed in my mind. i was going to make her regret moving to my island. i was going to place as many of those loud parade floats outside her house as i could. she will never know silence again until she leaves my island.
