Its funny you mention the lack of videos of people doing this in JLs as i was mentioning to my friend the other day because i want to install them in my JLU. I did find 2 videos one where they tricked the computer by putting the seat belt buckle back in underneath the rug with a fake buckle and the 2nd video actually showed the guy integrating the Weight pressure sensor (bag full of liquid under seat) into the PRP ones and it worked out for him. Those are the only 2 so far i have found after a month of searching. Great job on the seats and everything and glad you guys are working with Tazer so that way it will be much easier.
Such a random thing...My daughter and I are looking at an older Bronco online to buy (it's in Yuma and we're in NorCal) and we love the seat upgrades ...among a lot of other things of course... No more than 5 minutes after we get off the phone with the seller, I start up my Sunday ritual of checking out my favorite TH-cam vids, and there you are Kevin giving your seat cover review of the same seat covers that are in the Bronco we are looking at!!! Such random timing. Thank you for the review too : )
51st! Wow - with all the things y'all do to StepChild I'm amazed at the condition of the PRP covers And the original seats (if I could make those originals mount in my WK I'd buy them). Kevin, you are So much more comfortable in front of the camera than you used to be! Chris seems comfortable and animated anywhere. "And then Beck shows up.." Beck Bells? 100K miles of Jelly Hairs! LIteBriteNationSetsSeatsToSuit!
We have been considering using those seats in our JKU. But I'm a little tight on spending money. 1200 for 2 is a bit much to bite off at once. Love what you do, keep living life to the best y'all can.
I got a set for my tj, After 2 years of open top and jumping in in out they are worth it. No wear at all. I clean them every couple months. Honestly they are worth 1200 and call them up see if they have any deals in their warehouse if you don’t want custom ones.
I put a pair of PRP Summit seats in my WJ, one of the best upgrades I made. I love them. After a day on the trail my back isn’t killing me like it was with the stock seats.
@adidas4275 glad they kept them, I almost smoked em on a small road at GSMJI when their dumb selves decided to do a 4 point u-turn on a 2 lane road around a blind corner.
Seat covers are a good thing. I have not used these covers. I have used Wet Okole seat covers on the last 3 trucks I have had. Those PRP covers looked like they did well. The new seats looked good too. I have thought about replacing the seats in my Colorado because they can be uncomfortable; however, the choices are limited compared with Jeeps. Always good to have some “PPE” with you. I was thinking that when you showed that front pocket.
Great seat covers....you really put them through there paces and there flawless.....those new seats look awesome....Jelly is wonderful...master tech Chris at work.....egarly awaiting your next video...Safe travels
So program the switch pros to turn on that switch automatically on start & delay off by 5 mins or so & if you enable LV cut off then you can’t run the battery down. That is the best thing about the switch pros is being able to set stuff to battery or ignition, auto on or auto off & the delay on/off
Those seats look freaking awesome , the seat covers definitely did the job! If you don't need the lift kit for the seat ,you will have some great wind chimes 😂. Jelly is always putting in the work!! Harnesses and cage for the StepChild please!!!!♥️♥️💯🤙
You can use a seat belt extension to defeat the nannys that won't let you open the door and still drive. I just get the small rigid 2 inch extension and leave it in female seat belt latch.
Nice! You’re going to have to give an update or two on how you like the new seats. I’ve been eyeing some PRP seats for awhile for my TJ so it’s awesome to have your guys’ opinions. Wishing everyone there a happy Christmas and merry New Year!
The seats are in my top two disappointments with Jeeps. Poor ergonomics and coushioning with the front and rear seating make driving time a pain when going distances. I've thought about trying to retrofit a set of power seats out of a car that are similar dimensions to the original seats that have power tilt, lumbar and better cushions to make long drives more comfortable. I did find an aftermarket replacement bracket that allows the rear seat backs to tilt which has made those a little better for rear seat passengers.
I really wish Jeep would offer more premium seat option with full power adjustments in it as an upgrade option. The stock Jeep seats are about as comfortable as a apple box.
I wonder if they have an option to run for the switches on the heated seats on your stock switches? My jk heated seats suck and one has burned out and have been looking to put some cover that have heat but wanna splice in into my stock switch
Hey kids....! Nice seats....! What?! No massage...?! LOL! Hummm; the rear? Maybe a bench type offset split & the backs fold down....? W/a full wrap cage & harnesses. Rear seat mentioned comes in handy for my purposes... Happy New Year!
Found this old review awesome seat covers looking at the same ones for my new 2024 JL vinyl and suede how did the backseat hold up with the dogs nails? Is it black vinyl with dark gray suede?
So help me out … my wife is literally 1 foot shorter than me. I love my Rockhard sport cage but can put aftermarket seats in without preventing my wife from ever driving as she needs the factory seat height adjustment … what are some options for suspension seats and harnesses?
@@djpizzim They are adjustable but not like the factory seats with the lever that you can pump up or down quickly. With these you would literally have to unbolt the seat from the bracket, lower it and then bolt it back in when you have to drive it. So that quick adjustment isn't there like the factory seats.
One side of my drivers seat is a little worn (inner foam is a little tired). Do u think it's worth replacing before putting seat cover on? I was maybe thinking seat cover might tighten things up a little but that might be wishful thinking
Happy Day after Christmas or as the Brits would say "Happy Boxing Day"! Best wishes on the upcoming New Year and a fantastic 2022! Happy Trails to all of you!
Kevin, you ought to license this video to PRP! You & Chris could be their "Field Engineers" and Brittany could be the "Off Road Sales Rep." You know you guys need something to do in your "down time." 🤣👍
Weird my wj limited seats already have all those options, minus the bladder and the front pouch. I think quick trip to Walmart can fix that. Sweet seats tho!
Hey guys I know you guys are busy but I got a question for you I just bought my first Jeep it's an '09 Wrangler Sahara unlimited and what would your first mods be besides wheels and what kind of suspension lift would you recommend for a novice trail Rider
Did you come with a solve for the airbag lights etc? I am looking at picking up a set of PRP seats for my JL and want to get rid of the lights on the dash.
Ummm because these are suspension seats which are more comfortable and we can now run harnesses to keep you in the seat better and they look way cooler and they have a water bladder
@@LiteBrite Apparently whoever this is I’m talking to you did not watch the video. At 17:18 Kevin says “Chris, should we put bucket seats in the back instead of the bench?” Was just making a suggestion to use the stock seats that were taken out. Wasn’t my idea to remove bench seat it was Kevin’s!

Passenger side extra wires are for the airbag shut off switch for a kids!! Awesome job looks great

Honestly off road the StepChild might be safer without the air bags. Also with some of the hits you’ve taken I’m surprised they haven’t gone off yet
Not getting T boned at an intersection. Which is what side impact bags are for.
@adidas4275 glad they kept them, I almost smoked em on a small road at GSMJI when their dumb selves decided to do a 4 point u-turn on a 2 lane road around a blind corner.

Are they full sized glockgels* in that bag? PPE is very import2Ant!
5:36, yeah that's cool and all, but where is the catheter drain? Fluids in means fluids out...
Those seats look really nice.
We’ve had bad luck with catheters. Lol
PRP buckets for the back!!
My 2008 JKU does not have side air bags, the seats should work for me... I hope they have JKU versions of the seats.
My 94 toyota pickup has zero air bags. I'm assuming if the vehicle came with seat air bags it has to stay that way for DOT?
I must say I don’t normally watch Kevin’s videos, Learned a lot and laugh a bunch too. Thanks.
Rear bucket seats and a full cage would be awesome for the stepchild !

I wonder how those seat covers would look on my 2016 Rubicon?
are the pro seats longer horizontal aka more thigh support? please give update on road review
When it comes to PPE "full size" is really the only way to go. Never leave home without it.
So close to 200k subs , love to see the content
If you could get them to fit you could replace the back bench seat with the old front seats
Thank you for your time.

Can I add after market seat heaters under these seat covers?
If I already have seat heaters does that plug hook up to the OEM plug?

Now you have no audio system so what about mounting the power amplifier on the bottom of the seat as Britney loves her music.
I've heard other people say that you can build these PRP seats with leather/suede...I never find that as an option, just that cheap vinyl crap.

in the 60's first thing my dad had the dealer do was remove all the seatbelts from his new car.

What up Lite Brite nation!
Many, MANY years ago, trucks had a suspension seat that was coil springs in the seat cushion. Now the entire seat is suspended on an air ride system.
We don’t need no airbags, we die like men! 😂 I have an 87’ RV damn thing don’t even have seat belts.
Why don’t you replace the rear bench seat with the stock seats, and maybe get them new seat covers to match your new seats.
