    Would love to put some PRP seats in my LJ. Someday. I know one thing, if I EVER see this LJ on the road/trail, I'll know who it belongs too. lol.

    I just finished installing these in my 2004 TJ. The seats are comfortable and look great, BUT …. (1) getting the brackets off 5he old seats was a horror. Finally just took the sucker totally apart. (2) I took to heart comments about people shorter than me wishing they had ordered the 4” tall seat. When I got them and read the packing slip, they were also 4” wider. That added a few other problems. Driver seat hits the center cup holders and won’t slide more than a few inches. I’ll ditch the whole console and leave the shifters on the floor. (3) The brackets they sent, which I ordered, do not fit the wide seats. When I asked them why they shipped them, knowing they would not work, she said, “because that’s what you ordered. You’ll have to fabricate new brackets.” We found a work around (actually, Cody Little found a work around) but it could have been a real issue. (5) Seat belts are another issue. PRP tells you the OEM belts will not work with their seats and leave it there. Found very little help online other than some seemingly convoluted contraptions. I will put in a harness for trail use but want an OEM system for road. Finally found a solution from Rock Hard that is meant for harness lap belts but, coupled with a belt extender, should work. Your approach in this video will work, too, of course, and I should have found it sooner! But nicely done video. Thank you

    Very nice! I've got some PRP enduros for my LJ. I can hardly wait to try out the seat heaters for those cold mornings in the desert.

    Seats look awesome! Didn't realize the custom options prp has. Any difference in seat height?

    • @wrenegadeoffroad1400
      @wrenegadeoffroad1400  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Yeah endless possibilities with them! The seats are about an inch higher than the factory. The bracket they send raise the seat about an inch. It’s their jeep TJ brackets. Thanking about making a custom set to bring them down a little bit.

    I have a 04 rubicon I see you have arb lockers, I ended up putting them in mine also. Although I gots to put a new axle seal in the drivers side rear axle. I got to figure out what gear oil to use in the mean time cause it leaks a bit. Don’t want it to dry up!

    • @wrenegadeoffroad1400
      @wrenegadeoffroad1400  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      just standard gear oil works great nothing fancy required. One upgrade we did was toss in some revolution chromemoly axle shafts in the rear. Because they came with new seals and bearings pre-installed. We had a leaky axle seal in the rear so got two birds with one stone with that install.

    Those seats look awesome! How comfortable are they? Worth the cost?

    • @wrenegadeoffroad1400
      @wrenegadeoffroad1400  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      very comfortable! The sides have smaller bolsters but the middle bolster keeps you in pretty good as well as the upper side bolsters. Definitely worth the money. only regret is not getting them sooner.

      Only one bolt was doing the job before now there’s two and a lot bigger size bolt as well. It’s not going anywhere.
