I just want to say y'all are slaying it! If I would make a TH-cam channel, I would be making content just like this! Y'all are hitting the points that no one else are doing! Great job, keep it up!
Part time reseller here. I’m fortunate that I don’t rely on the $ I earn in my business. I’m consistent 8 months of the year but slow down in summer and take time to enjoy nice weather and time with friends and family. Thanks for sharing these valuable tips.
The consistency has been a HUGE key for me. In the last month I made 400 on poshmark alone! Even during the summer slowdown. At the beginning of the year when I was only selling my own clothing and I wasn't active what so ever I didn't make a single sale for 5 months!!!
@@TrashPandasThrift Thank you so much! Of course I also made money on depop, ebay, what not and Mercari...not tons of money but with this being my only job and staying with family rent free ill take it. My plan is to bulid my reselling up so I can move back out :)
I am struggling finding good and profitable things to list. It seems like thrifting has become so popular! And the resell stores pricing has gone through the roof. Thank you for opening my mind to things that might not be on other resellers or resell stores list to sell or mark up.
You’re so welcome! I totally hear you on that - style based sourcing has opened so many doors and opportunities for us especially with the changing landscape of reselling.
Girl! I get you! I did ebay years ago with 8 kids. I give you props!! Now that I am down to one child still at home, I have the basic understanding of reselling. Once I started back (6 months ago), a lot had changed, but I remembered enough to make it work. You got this!!! ❤
Hi! The best way to figure out net profit would be to subtract the following from your gross profit: - Cost of Goods - Platform fees - Transportation costs - Food costs while out sourcing or working - Supplies/subscriptions for you business - ANY other business related expenses - Taxes
I appreciate your videos so much! I gave reselling a shot on a whim and was quickly overwhelmed when it took off - I didn’t have any systems in place. 😅 Y’all have inspired me to really take a hard look at my current processes. Thanks so much!
You both are awesome thankyou for sharing what you do and the knowledge your gained...it inspires and helps so much ❤❤ endless light of Sami to you both
I am learning a lot from both of you . Sometimes I download your videos on my cell to listen while I am driving, but I noticed the your voice is so low … maybe is because my car is old . Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Hey David - thanks so much for watching and commenting! That’s an interesting thing with the sound - I’ll have Sean take a second look at the audio in the future and ask others if it’s the same for them too :)
@@TrashPandasThrift yes , of course when I am in the house , it’s perfect, but in the car with through the speaker it is low . Thanks again for the replies
Just subscribed. Just wondering how many items you believe someone needs listed to do about 5K a month? I have been selling part time on ebay since the beginning of eBay. Now making the push to 200 items 1st time over probably 30 item.
Hi there! This question is basically impossible to answer without SO many other specific details. Some things to consider to get you to that 5K would be: What is your average sales price? What’s your average cost per piece? What are your platform fees? What are the total expenses if takes to run your business? What will your taxes be on your income? With these numbers in mind, you should be able to work backwards towards that total! It’ll vary person to person - some people may have a $100 ASP, some may have a $20 ASP. Then, breaking down the rest I mentioned will be key to getting down to net profit numbers too.
Hi there! We sku our items and put them in the clear spartan industrial bags as part of our inventory system - we then ship that in a polymailer when the item sells :)
Was your from Texas to San Francisco mostly out partially for reselling? I ask because I live in South Carolina and have a hard time finding quality items. Thanks for sharing tour knowledge and experiences with us, really private you guys🤩
Hi! Not at all - actually, our business in Austin was thriving. We moved because we wanted to live in a more walkable city :) we’re both originally from NYC and missed public transit and walkability! I definitely hear you on the struggle with finding quality items - that’s a huge reason why our business has always been a mix of great brands and also style based sourcing!
Can I just say, reselling aside.. I love the way you two look at each other ! 🤭🤗
Aw thank you! Haha we definitely have a lot of love for each other, it’s nice it comes through on camera

I definitely need to figure out my numbers. I spend way too much on inventory. Thank you! ❤
Numbers are so important in business! Sometimes it’s easy to put off (believe me, I know haha) but it’s so important to know
@@TrashPandasThrift How do you figure out your numbers? Do you have a video on that?

Do you have a video showing how you use / take pictures in ur large photo box
Not currently on the channel, that’s a great idea for a future video! :)
Quick question…do you shop in the clear bags you have in your Amazon list?

I'm consistently inconsistent... I feel like I've been trying to get organized for a year
Consistency and organization can really change everything!
Well. I have been trying to get the universe to send me a goodwill outlet for a long time. Closest one - 4 hours in Queens 😢
I think I need to move. 😂
