Thank you for sharing this as its very relatable for me. I'm a male, 40 years old, have been suffering with depression for over 20 years and just got diagnosed with adhd. I have been drinking so much over the years trying to battle pain and rumination. Ive build up a massive amount of shame ansd am currently burned out at home, single and socially isolated. There is so much content out there and much of it I also use as a distraction, but this video was truly comforting to me, I feel understood. Thanks
I myself have adhd, anxiety and depression and I was drinking like everyday… I wanted something to shut my thoughts off and also ease my anxiety. Now I am sober. Great video ❤👍
Thank you for sharing your story. As a man, that too in India, talking about ADHD and alcoholism is shameful. Your story has really motivated me. Hope my ADHD brain retains the dopamine long enough... 😂❤
Just as I was thinking no not alcohol or smoking just sugar and coffee, and sleep, but sleep doesn’t count, then you mentioned sleep 😳 oh and doom scrolling too. Thanks for being so vulnerable, I’m impressed you can read books, my brain refuses to concentrate on books, is that a thing? Idk. I’ve also just invested in an ice pod, mostly for migraine so glad to see you mention cold therapy at the end too, oh yeah is 100% still in its box, still sealed up.
I have found meditating daily is medicine, regular diet, fasting for health as have DB2, take neutropics 👍, & melotinin, tryrptophan, CBD, but still a ridiculous owl scrolling! As now...... Nature & the dog, long sleeps! When possible. Avoiding burn outs at all costs hard bounderies. Time with good friends 👍 alcohol wrecks my sleep every time if I have it to regular. Best wishes the work never stops, learning new stuff & developing. 🙌

Thank you, I'm glad you're sober now too. I drank for the exact same reason. ❤️

I am so glad you were able to quit. ❤️
