Wow! I really needed these instructions! I bought some second hand dress pants for my husband and they came out too big. The size was right on the tag, but he can't wear them. I found videos of men putting on the trousers inside out and pinning where they fit but my husband isn't easy to pin down 😂. So the way you take a pair that is the right size and use them as a guide is a lifesaver for me. Thank you for sharing ❤.

I did the waist and the crotch area too and it came out perfect for the waist. The front crotch was exactly the same as his guide pants but I got the back crotch an inch longer. Figured it might be a bit baggy for him but not too bad. He tried them on and said they feel funny, like running up his crack. He adjusted them a bit and said, "it's like they're riding lower than my waist." I can't imagine how an inch longer would make this happen. He's going to use them as work pants and that's exactly what I bought them for so it's not a big problem. I have a pair of dress pants that need the same adjustments and I chose this pair to practice first. I will be making less adjustments on the crotch next time. Something about measurements isn't adding up, but I believe cutting less is best. It can always be cut more. Once you've cut too much, you can't put it back very easily. Thanks again for your instructions, they are a lifesaver!
