You guys, keep that horseshoe and make it into a door knocker for your front door, it’s supposed to be good luck too☺️
Something to consider to ease your work load. Take all the metal to recycling that you have collected the last few days to the metal recycling place. This will make where you do not have to deal with it again.
That's all part of living on a farm tho .Grandpap threw everything behind the barn and weeds grew up and covered it .Every few years we all had a cleaning party 😂😂
Wow that was a lot of work. It’s unbelievable how much stuff people collect over a period of time. Glad you found some useful items. I enjoyed watching the dog trying to help.
This reminds me of what my dad used to say. I wonder how many times I’m going to move this, before I throw it away.
So true! 😅
Horseshoes are put over doorways with the open side up. It catches good luck. It's a thing in the US.
Great job guys. Perhaps ensuring that any containers in your junk piles that can hold water could be turned over so that they cannot create breeding places for mosquitoes 😊
just took scrap metal in and got 700 dollars for the whole load...is there places like that there?
I was hoping you would take the wheelbarrow of manure and straw out to your chickens. Lots of good worms and bugs in there they would love. Just make a pile and let them have at it :)
Happy to see the goats got the pruning's. Suggestion, when you make those cuts do not leave stubs. Cut just beyond the branch bark collar so the tree or shrub stays healthy.
Time to load up the trailer and go to the junkyard. Take all of the tires, too :)
Time to move your goats to a fresh pasture. The one they are in is very short.
The broken hay roll next to it we will bring the whole thing to chickens to make their own compost pile. The goats are still on Hay diet since the grass is growing slower then they are eating it. 😁
Another great video! Can't wait to see the extension start. Don't forget to like and subscribe!!!! 😁❤🍍
@@DoBeDiff Letting the chickens make their own compost pile is a great Idea.
I understand if you feel that piling up goat manure for the chickens is disgusting. Starting with 'clean' organics is a great alternative. You can carry out your kitchen scraps when you go to collect eggs.
Your video certainly shows how much the chicken enjoy searching for worms :) Chickens feel about scratching the way we do about going to a fine restaurant! 😉
@@DoBeDiff I will suggest partitioning your existing goat pasture into two so the second part can recover. Then alternate grazing between the two pastures.
Eventually, you will need more fenced pastures that will allow you to rotate your goats between pastures. Or you will have to reduce the size of your herd.
@@stevejohnstonbaugh9171 The goat pasture is split already in 5 pieces plus an extra temporary one. So we are already rotating the pastures if we didn't they wouldn't recover and the goats would need hay all year. Currently they are still on Hay till the grass starts to grow faster.
The “hair clip/safety pin” looks like a spark maker for a blowtorch. My father had one that looked like that when I was a kid. I’m glad you had some fun as you sifted through all that stuff! The light attitude made a normally tedious task fun for you. 😊
I could have watched this video for hours. Even when you're cleaning up you're having fun. You are a good team! I love all the old pieces of metal you found. There's sometime about old everyday objects that were well used. It brings a connection to the past.
When will you be dragging the things to the dump and to the scrap yard?
The roll of fence could be used in garden for climbing vegetables beans squash or around plants like tomatoes or to keep animals out..😊 plus tires could be used as planters also just spray paint the outside to look nice.or to go around small trees till it gets big then remove it.
You guys , get a bin lol. I always tell myself that If the things are in a junk pile and I have never needed it, then throw it away !!
Hi guys!, I just got home from work and your video was the first to pop up and in the beginning of the video I seen an old sink! If I may that would make a cute hen and chick planter! I don’t know what the other names in other languages is but they are some of my favorites I just don’t have the yard for them myself right now!😊 Can’t wait to see the changes this summer!🥳 love and light my dear’s!
You can use the old tires to make an herb garden. Put good soil and fertilizer in each one then plant one type of herb in each tire. This keeps down weeds and you can mow around them to make it neat and easy to access.
We will have work in summer 😊❤
my artistic friend loves to find "rusty bits" and she makes yard mobiles and art out of them. some of the coolest stuff.
That metal loop that you called a safety pin looks like it's the loop you put your stitches on in knitting when you are working on just one side of the piece you put the other half of the stitches on that loop.
Horse shoe are often hung above a door in France for good luck!!
Place them like a U, so your luck will not fall out.
I’ve seen people use painted tyres as curbing or plant boxes. Can look kinda cool. Or as a staggered rock garden with tiers of plants.
Great video and you’re making it look so much more organized. Your pup was so adorable observing everything, she’s enjoying her homestead life
📯🕘⏳⌛; take that metal box, sand, paint put shelves in it , hang for jars of nails screws hose washers etc.... or garden hand tools gloves . Just a thought
That broken toilet would make a nice flower planter and so will the toilet tanks...
Another great project to complete! I cannot believe all the stuff that was behind the barn!
Ask people to send you license plates from all over the world, others have done it.
Was reading what your camper said and thought that Dobedifarm doesnt actually sound too bad as a name for the farm
I’m confused by some of the things you are keeping. Why would you keep a toilet with a big chunk taken out of it 😂😂😂
In rural areas, it’s also a question of disposal. You collect enough to have a load before it’s worthwhile to drag it all somewhere.
Good job ! The addition will give you a space to organize the things you want to keep . Cleaning the area definitely cuts down on rodents too 👍
Wo.... Thats a lotta stuff to sore, but Well done. Tity is a good thing👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏Be blessed
If you don't have s use for the tyres, my parents used to fill them up with earth and put flowers in them!
Yup, they look nice filled with flowers, I have like 5-6 of them, especially if you paint them they look less…vehicle-y
Even tires are used in Sweden to make asfalt.
looking great! so rewarding to get it done!
Just have to say I love the way you make everything into fun and I'm really enjoying what you are doing
That's a lot of stuff you moved and little miss Kata was inspecting everything thint to make you you do a great job.
I have a feeling she may be expecting
Me toooo 🤞
You two always make me smile. Loved watching you cleaning up your pile of lost jewels. Hehehe. Take care.
Are you going to put in a garden this year?
It's time you must deside what to burn and what not. Huge job. Blessings
Love you recikling and reuse. Good for the future
Fun to see all the old tools
A lot of work... Good luck!
Vinegar will help removing rust.
You should stop holding on to all this broken stuff instead of you just moving it to a different spot. Sell the metal to a scrap recycler. Burn the wood. Take everything else like the tires to a trash center and pay to dispose if necessary. Having all that junk wears on your and causes stress. You feel lighter emotionally without having to see all that junk every day.
You know if this was here in Australia you would have found 4 or 5 snakes in that lot of rubbish. Every time you picked up a sheet of iron I held my breath.
Luckily, there are no snakes in the area ❤
@@birgitc.rudolph9123 so fortunate.
You two aren't afraid to take on any job great work
Guys, I think those are asbestos roof sheets you are just handling and throwing around and that is VERY dangerous if its asbestos. You can see they are cracked and pieces missing.
In Sweden we got paid for scrap Metal. Quite good pay
Yeah here as well, around 120 Euros per Ton.
Don't ever keep "maybe things" you will never use them.
Okay, Mom mode kicking in. Looking at you working on all that rusty scrap, I hope your tetanus shots are up to date! Hugs from Maine, USA.
Watching this was like watching a treasure hunting movie 😊
guitar and banjo, are perfect for this vid.
Iepriekšējiem iemītniekiem sakrājusies kaudze visa kā. Nav tik ātri tikt no liekā vaļā. Bet jums izdosies kā vienmēr.😊
Looks so nice!! Great job!!
Will the new barn roof have gutters and downpipes for rainwater storage?
Car crank starter?
I am wondering what happens to the pile of old hay/straw? Does it decompose for fertilizer? Do you have to burn it? How do you get rid of it?
I think he dumped it in a old compost pile they have for old dirty hay.
Looks like you could use a dumpster/skip rental.
Giant mess is the understatement of the year! 😮
How much of that giant mess came with the house, and how much did you actually contribute?? 🤔
Who cares.
Hi there, would you be kind enough to remind me what the make is of the orange battery secateurs you have? Love watching your videos, you are both an inspiration x
They are amazing sheers: amzn.to/4a7gptF
@@DoBeDiff thank you so much, if I can get them delivered to the UK, I will be ordering x
Looking good!
Aufräumen !!!😊❤
Grüße aus dem Saarland. Alles für den Algorithmus.
Danke 🎉
Get rid of the trash! You don't want it around when your baby starts walking outside and after you get pregnant you will be busy with other projects.
Do you have the Common European Adder (Vipera berus) in your area?
You seem to spend a lot of time ‘cleaning” lately, but seem to move items from A 2 B without and organising or getting rid of stuff. Maybe a good idea to sit and plan one evening what would be a better way to sort the stuff out for good so your better prepared for upcoming projects around the land
You can take the old tires.and paint them and make cute flower beds with them
Hi from Kentucky USA, I’m sitting here wondering as you are in the middle of that stuff, do y’all have snakes there?
No it's to cold in the Winters for snakes
We have 3 type of snakes in Latvia all non poisonous. But on our property we haven't encountered any snakes yet. When I was a kid we had a 2m long snake living in our pound.
There are poisonous snakes in Latvia too.
There are only three species of snakes living in Latvia: the viper, the grass snake and the smooth snake, which is not the legless slowworm. Only one of them is poisonous. This species is the common viper.
You're lucky if you don't have them near your property, there are quite a few closer to the woods.
It looks like you are moving stuff from one to another ?
Indeed we are but in this case we are more moving them out of the way for now to deal with them later on.
Yeah, the piles are now stacks.
Are you from Latvia? I'm a Norwegian that bring most of my summers in Latvia!
Yes we are from Latvia!
Hiiiiii 💖💖💖
👌
Hey friends! How can you afford all this if you don't go to work? Is it really possible to live and build all this…so well on donations?
We make most of our money from TH-cam ads. We of course do everything our selves. A normal job could afford all the same things but wouldn't have the same amount of time to do any of it.
Do you have collectors of metal who will come pay you to take all your metal from you.
They have to bring it ....in Athens, there are some garbage collectors driving around calling on microphones to take your old stuff ... "όλα τα παλιά μαζεύω"
Ola ta palia mazevo 😂😂😂
I take all your old stuff.. 😂
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
👍👍👍
Where does it all come from!!??
Some from the basement? Cleaning out the house and the barn? Various renovation projects?
❤
Next video to see you fill the car to take to the tip… Otherwise in a years time we will see it all again
Could you burn sone of the bad word?
Do you have snakes in Latvia?
Only 3 types and all non poisonous! At our property we have never seen a single snake, overall in Latvia seams to have no snakes left.
David should have a turn being camera lol
We love watching you guys, but it drives us crazy to see you move one junk pile to another junk pile. Time to clean up and actually take things to the recyclers and to the dump. You need to burn that wood, trash tires and broken toilets. You all spend so much time moving trash around. Stop being hoarders!
They made piles with things for bringing away .....❤
Time to rent a dumpster!
I have no idea why you want to keep a toilet with a huge hole in it. 🤷
Toilets can be broken down as fill for farmyard dirt road base topped off with gravel.
Some peopluse it even as a flower pot in the garden 😊

📯🕘⏳⌛; the contemplating music , nice touch
📯🕘⏳⌛; seen on youtube, a guy made a green house with chicken wire, 12 2 by 4's (ends & middle support, v shaped roof) and that big roll of clear plastic . Than rocks around the bottom, O , a door out of wood
📯🕘⏳⌛; someone with kind heart and money, needs to (tax write off) you a solid weed wacker/weed eater
📯🕘⏳⌛; sometimes, it's a pain having to reorganize, a ways to drive to do anything, but with your ability and equipment, I understand what you are doing 🧠 & 💪
I believe if you make a plan of where everything goes it will be less problems in the long run-even taking some of the stuff to the tip or it’ll be further out of control.
