In my opinion, this game is better than OOT (yes I just said and prepared for people who can't take the fact that people have opinions) 1. Deeper story 2. Instead of revolving around link, it revolves around his sidekick (which is a nice plot twist) 3. More enemies, diverse dungeons, bosses that were even more menacing than Gannon from OOT (again, yes I just said that)
They even gave a little side story for Ralis, the gorons, and the boblin king (I think that's who he is, I forget) (in case I'm wrong the the thing that looks like a fat ogre with red eyes)
It still gets me every time that when the golden wolf jumps, you can hear the Hero of Time as he sounded in life. Feels for WEEKS. It’s also extremely telling that the Song of Healing is the first in this sequence, since that’s basically what TP Link does for his ancestor in this entire side quest.
1. Song of Healing 2. Requiem of Spirit 3. Prelude of Light *4. Ballad of Gales* 5. Twilight Princess main theme But since there are seven hidden skills and only one doesn't require a song, we're still missing one in this vid.
Realize all of those are from OCARINA OF TIME except for the TP main theme. We already know that TP Link is related in the blood to the Hero of Time, which is that ghost (he transforms into the wolf via the mask that does so in Majora's Mask. *Mind blown*
The Hero's Shade is the feelings of regret from the Hero of Time. Link, as The Hero of Time, at the end of OoT Link returns to his original (child) timeline to a Hyrule where there was never a tragedy, therefore no Hero of Time. This leaves Link feeling unable to accept that his efforts went unrecognized and goes on a journey to look for Navi (this is when Majora's Mask takes place), Link is pushed into an alternate Universe and then put into a situation where he needs to save yet another place. Hero of Time Link saves this universe and goes back to his original universe to where he is yet again unrecognized, leaving him with more regrets. He goes back to Hyrule to where he becomes a Hyrulian Knight and dies in battle (the missing eye and torn armor of the Hero's Shade), not being able to accept leaving his knowledge behind, his strong feelings keep him around as a lingering spirit whose goal is to pass on the knowledge, skill, and wisdom of the Hero of Time. To where at the end he gets his wishes fulfilled after thousands of years (decaying body) and passes on his teachings to the Hero of Twilight in Twilight Princess. It really gives on a sad perspective on what the life of Link was after the events of OoT and MM, I personally was happy to find out his wishes were fulfilled at the end, making the meeting of the Hero's Shade and the Hero of Twilight one of the coolest crossovers in the series.
I like this interpretation, but I partially disagree with him not being recognized at the end of OoT; he was the one who told Zelda, her father, and everyone else Ganondorf's plan in its entirety. He was the Hero of Time in the future because of the war he waged across time, yes, but he also was the Hero of Time in the past because he waded through the stream of time to gain the knowledge of what was to happen, preventing the tragedy before it happened. While the general populous wouldn't know the extent of the trials he endured in the future, they would still recognize him as a hero of sorts - even if it's only one that prevented an attempted attack on Hyrule Castle. I believe his regrets - his only regret, for that matter - stemmed from him not able to pass on his teachings to the next hero, who according to a theory based on his dialogue, is potentially his blood descendent.
What if he didn't go into another universe just teleported like in the lost woods to death mountain and zoras domain and there are different to different like a place named termina and that's maybe why darunia is below dark in botw but that's just my theory
It's possible the portal to Termina simply sent him to a far-away land, but still within the same universe as Hyrule, but given that all the people in Termina look exactly like the people in Hyrule makes this fairly unlikely. It would also have to be very far away, as the only references to Hyrule or anything within it in Termina is the Triforce appearing around Ikana Canyon. Not sure what you mean by "darunia is below dark" though.
The songs in order: - Song of Healing ( Majora's Mask ) - Requiem of Spirit ( Ocarina of Time ) - Prelude of Light ( Ocarina of Time ) - Goron's Lullaby ( Majora's Mask ) - Wind's requiem ( Wind Waker ) - Twilight Princess main theme
Sometimes I like to imagine that Link has flashbacks to his previous incarnations. In this case, I imagine Link having flashbacks of his Majora's Mask self learning the Song of Healing from the Happy Mask salesman, or of his Ocarina of Time self learning the Requiem of Spirit and the Prelude of Light from Sheik.
Dicease Fletcher And not just for songs either, I also pretend that it works with Bosses. For example, say that young Link is fighting King Dodongo in Ocarina of Time. After Navi gives Link a hint on what to do, he has a flashback of his Skyward Sword self fighting Scaldera. Another example would be Wind Waker Link fighting Gohdan, where he would have a flashback of his Ocarina of Time self fighting Bongo Bongo.
