I feel like one major issue with the Creaking is that it goes away in the daytime, like imagine if it stood completely still, eyes closed during the day, just blending in with the trees as you're walking around, then uh oh, you were in the forest for too long and the sun is down and you're hearing creaking noises around you all of a sudden
Too much work for Mojang..they arleady made a new set of wood that's enough to compensate for a mob that could be awesome with a bunch of more features
That's actually such a simple but game changing idea, it's absurd how a random comment on the internet can come up with more creativity than Mojang, with no special features this thing is literally just scp 173.
I think it's a necessary part of its behaviour. First off, it needs *_some_* way to appear and disappear, especially since it (mostly) cannot be moved. Imagine a creaking is standing on a place you're building during the day, you now have to wait till nighttime to have a chance to get it to move away or go track and find its heart, which is kind of an annoying interaction. This also completely makes the challenge of creaking redundant. Just whack it in the day and you can find out where its creaking heart is without any trouble. Plus, they would be able to keep wardens permanently aggro and completely prevent wardens from despawning if that were the case. That's kind of cool, but also potentially really annoying since wardens are designed around de-aggroing fast enough that you can save dropped loot. Having a mob that's just kind of permanently an obstacle just isn't as much fun as it first seems.
i dislike the creaking having the darkness effect, this was something special for the warden/shriekers. I think something like fog becoming thicker would be much better
I feel like what the pale garden needed was a more lush environment like bushes, shrubs, etc, it would make the creaking blend in more with the environment and make it more scary.
The best way they could make the creaking scarier is having it have an animation for when it disappears and giving the pale garden a more interesting aesthetic like it's the ashy ghost of a forest. The creaking are its animated remains protecting it from another fire.
I think it would be cool if the creaking followed the player who caused it to spawn forever. Just imagine, you fly through a pale garden with an elytra and accidentally spawn a creaking. You fly away. A few in game days later you open your door and the creaking’s just standing there.
I also feel like the creaking could use more lore behind it, like maybe it’s a demon or an evil spirit that haunts this very forest. And maybe even all the villagers could say that the Pale Garden is forbidden.
I like to imagine that the Creaking is some kind of effigy constructed by the illagers, as the way you summon it and its actual appearance itself is very akin to Poppet crafting. You can also find the resin required to craft a creaking heart within Woodland Mansions. What their intentions with the Creaking are, I’m not so sure.
The pale garden absolutely screams gruesome fairytale. Like, something dark and mysterious, probably coming from somewhere like Germany. I’d love to see some more whimsical elements added to it as it still feels a little too barren for a garden right now.
I have an idea or two to expand on this: Replace some (but not all) of the pale logs with a new animated texture that has eyes which occasionally open. Each tree structure that generates will have of or two of these. This kind of animation already exists in a Halloween texture pack in legacy console so I know it’s possible. Have another hostile flying mob that stalks the skies, but can’t see through leaves and is scared of someone on the surface. This is to make climbing on top of the trees just as if not more dangerous than the floor of the biome. Have a plant called shadow stalk or shrub that acts as a reverse light source: it takes light away from the area around it, either by creating a darkness in some areas even in the day, allowing hostile mobs to be present at all times. Maybe make it part of the pale trees like cocoa beans, maybe not. Point is you can’t just light the biome up with torches, you need to destroy these also to really be safe. Lastly, there should be some sort of reward for going here unique to this biome. Perhaps an ingredient for spectral potions or maybe make the eye plants an ingredient required for the night vision potions. Maybe you can make the hearts of pale monsters into the potion ingredient for spectral stuff.
I think rather than have multiple creakings become bigger, they are just minions to a much larger, tentacley boss, with LOTS of eyes, of all sizes and shapes. And hostiles will only spawn after a couple of nights, with a message saying: "you feel you are being watched" then you see sentry looking things that just... Stare. Then tiny little dudes headbutt your shins some nights after. Then creakings spawn, then there is a clearing in the garden where "The Seer of the Garden" will spawn (that tentacley guy I mentioned earlier). I think these changes will really play at cacophobia (the fear of ugliness/ being watched).
The whole thing which the sky getting darker in the biome glitched, so now permanently my world is dark, even a thousand blocks away, pain in the ass, i miss the blue skys of Minecraft
This reminds me of the whole JetStarfish Deep Dark thing, because, I don't know, it feels almost... unnecessary. Like, really think about it, the Pale Garden is, from what I've seen, _supposed_ to be a different, almost twisted version of the Dark Oak Forest. And, I do thank you for not doing progress locks and all of the other horrid changes that Jet suggested, but it still feels a bit useless. But, that's just my opinion. This seems like a cool idea, and props to you for making it an actual datapack, and not-... wait a minute. That datapack is behind a paywall. That's against the Minecraft EULA code.
@@KattyKitten69 no because after all it is literally a biome that you could just walk into and infact you could probably even spawn inside one. there shouldn't be a biome that you can just happen to walk nearby and then its dangerous, that kinda thing is more for structures that you have to enter. if pale gardens were super scary and hard then for people who don't want to do it but they need to go somewhere in their world they are going to have to walk around the whole biome instead of just being able to cross through (if its night time and they dont have a bed)
The chicken you found would have been no use to you as chickens who spawn with baby zombie on top of them can't lay eggs to stop zombies from picking it up and not despawning
Ok, random challenge idea, what if you tried making a magic mod but only using commands? I tried doing it in bedrock and it was genuinely really fun. plus, it has a ton of video potential
wearing the mask for too long could turn you into a creaking, and spawn an extra one in the area after dying- it could even still have fragments of the armor left on to indicate which one was you.
I dont know if mojang changed it since, but the last video i saw with the creaking (it was really soon after it was accesible for the first time in a snapshot iirc) someone tried to see what the demage dealt was if the player had netherite armor (unenchanted i think) and it barely did anything so in the later game that makes the creaking pretty much harmless and you could also quite easily outrun it. So if they increased its speed and demage it would make it a lot more interesting
Now, mojang needs to add resin molds, made from a block called the “caster” and makes (if you put lava in it,) obsidian structures, since it requires water. Good idea or no?
So you did make a resin farm but I made the first almost completely automated one, with the exception of attacking the creaking, as it cannnot suffocate.
I think to make it really threatening; when you're looking at it and it can't move it should just start growing thorned vines that spread radially along all surfaces and if you get caught you take constant damage and get slowed down. This could also apply to if it is unable to reach you as well. That way it's not so easy to just stare at it to keep yourself safe. It should also blink slowly so that when it's eyes are closed you can't tell where it is.
minecraft is shooting themsleves in the leg with being to scared to change anything and try new ideas they are just boring updates which could have huge potential but lost it cause the management style

The tree structure was cool, but I feel like just making it larger and more powerful doesn't just equal scary. Also, I feel like the leveling up was fast enough that it would be the same if it just spawned leveled up, it is impressive though.
Make an effect where when it hits you, you get a blinking effect. Overtime basically it makes you blink alot which can cause the creaking to move, but the longer the creaking that gave it to you lives, the stronger the blinks get. They start to appear way more often and are longer to the point where the creating is eventually just chasing you. Also make some of the trees come to life and move around when you arent looking. I think a cool thing would be that they are different creaking h the earts the normal one from vanilla the creaking brain which is the first block that takes up eight blocks and the last one which is being called the creaking body which takes up a 9 x 9 space and basically to activate them you basically need to cover the top and bottom with stripped or normal pay logs and basically the creaking brain basically spawns like more creaking and sometimes the the creak king which is basically a more powerful creaking which does two hearts and also there would be a thing called the creaking mask, which basically makes creaking and creak kings not attack you when you wear it also when you look at the creek King then you will be having the blindness affect and also a new effect called the no eyes affect which basically makes it so that Enderman won't attack you and all types of creaking will attack you even though you look at it but it won't work on the one that you looked at and finally the creek boss which spawned from the creaking body. honestly i was extremely dissapointed with this update. in a year we got a stupid mob and a reskin of the dark oak? like cmon mojang you pulled off a whole redo of a dimension in a year, this update is gonna be one of the reasons of minecrafts fall. i love the game but if they keep doing this to the game the outcome will be grim
Where can i get this mod
The Pale garden trees should have been taller in the first place
please make this a mod, maybe with graves and more creepy stuff?
Some idiot said the vanilla pale gardens is scarier than any dweller mods.
Make them more like the weeping angels
Would the datapack also work if I backport the pale garden to 1.20.1?
@@TnupdegSupt it won't, there's too many other technical changes that would come into play
yoooo acee video neon!
