Biggest village? I thought was Cottingham in east Yorkshire, wanted to ask if you grew up there Dan, I use to stop there with my train to Scarborough, do you remember the signal box and Stan, handing over the token? I only live down the coast and never been there.

Hunmanby rings a bell 🔔 Ah I used to visit Yorkshire every now and again . I used to have a Great Aunt at Anlaby near Hull . We used to visit her . Then we would move out of area from there . Sure I went to Whitby at least once. But that was probably via a stay in York actualy . But Filey was like my favourite place ever ! And I returned there several times =^_^= 2016 was the last time . I always went strait for the Brigg, as there was a thin blocky layer of limestone and softer yellow material . You can pull small heart shaped fossil sea urchins out of it . Nucleolites I think they are called.

Bellemnites ( squid ) like creatures that are Bullet shaped , ammonites are rare , but can be found . I even found another Fossil Sea Dinosaur Poo ! 😄 Who know's what other obscure fossils you may find in the Speeton Clay ! Fish vertebrae, crabs ? . Bonus : You can pick up some lovely little Iron Pyrite Clusters ! Of various colour's and sizes off the weather work clays in the gaps running down. Fancy taking Mazzy for a prehistoric fossil and Fools Gold hunt at Speeton. You could so do that ! You'll have to walk south from Reighton Sands tho . . Cayton Bay is also Pretty! =^_^=
Been in all those pubs a few times. It’s a doctors surgery ( used to be my doctors). Used the garage a few times, ask for Andy, he’s done a few jobs on my motorhome which is parked up about 5 minutes from Hunmanby

When we were kids we spent a lot off time at humnaby gap walked down steps cafe half way down and a beautiful beach on the road down there is a old war mine on road side😀

I was thrilled by this video. I was hoping that eventually you would do one on Hunmanby ever since you said your mum lived there. My paternal Grandma was born in Hunmanby. She was a Raylor. Her mother was a cook at Hunmanby Hall and dad a market gardener. Another ancestor was head of the Hunmanby Brass Band. A couple of years ago my mother, two brothers and I visited Hunmanby while on a trip down memory lane to the UK (we are all born in England but have lived in western Canada for many years). I insisted we have a drink in the White Swan. What a nice pub. I have ancestors buried in that graveyard. My mum told me that once while visiting my dad's relatives in Hunmanby many years ago, they missed the last bus from Filey to Hunmanby and had to walk back those five miles. I'll look forward to future videos of the village along with all the other great videos you guys make. Safe travels when you can once again travel.

Robert Manby VanSetta Raylor (my great Grandad) is buried in All Saints churchyard (I don't have a photo) but I do have one of one of his sons George Robert Raylor.. Robert MV Raylor was head gardener at Hunmanby Hall for 40 years. If you come across any Raylor gravestones they are most likely my ancestors. I shared your video with my mum and she enjoyed it. It brought back memories for her.
