Great vid. Nice mars bar on the back of the leg at 11:08. Sorry if being a Rain Man!. Really loving the vid though. Great and informative and puts it into perspective that loads of money doesn't have to be spent on kit.
Ha had to watch that to see what you meant ! Yes your right you don’t have to spend much to catch but enjoyment , enthusiasm and comfort can be enhanced I suppose
Nice vid mate, your such an inspiration! Ordered most of the lures from your lure rec list, hopefully can get them in time for next week heat wave. Will be my first bass trip. Tight lines!
Appreciate that, my lure list is getting longer ! Finding the zonk,do live and those cotton candy’s have sold out . However the ima mullet and white mega bass zonk are on my top 10. Bring on the heatwave !
Good morning Matt 😊 great video thank you.l am getting to go through some of your videos and very good they are, learning a LOT.Have you got a video on how to put new mono/braid onto a spool,lo sure you have but so so many to get through...not that long complaining 😁 thank you again 🌱🌱🌱💕
Nice upload Matt I enjoyed this. So many anglers forget to bring the lure all the way to the rock they're stood on. Most of the hits i get are just as im about to lift the lure off of the surface!
Thanks for commenting, you usually get to see fish too and see how interested they are on the lure. I never watch the lure but rather for movement behind it. I’ve had fish beach themselves so always do this !
When ya use single hooks ya lose a lot more fish that's why most use the treble I think anyways using a teaser fly with ur lure as great effects entising the fish and better results if the day starts off quite especially fishing for sea trout they work a charm
Great video, cheers. I use circle hooks on floated prawns and they tend to hook themselves as they run with the bait. But I’m no expert, as you obviously are mate. Thanks for the videos!
No I’m always learning and changing things , I had some missed fish on circle hooks with live mackerel in the past and it kind of put me off, I’ll give them a go as it’s nice to see the fish swim off unharmed.
Saltwater Angler Yes I can see that would be an issue, I think with the smaller baits, circle hooks and bait are taken into the fish’s mouth and then rotate and move to the ‘scissors’ as the fish swims off.....but then I’m probably imagining that. Awesome channel, really appreciate your effort and knowledge. Keep it up mate.
Another great video. Nice to see your success with the different methods. Have you ever thought about, or are you aware of popping corks. I think they may work well for you, especially with that flat calm water. You can use them with either live shrimp or any soft plastic lure. The actual noise the float produces can draw fish from as distance in cloudy water.
Another great video - thanks. You’ve inspired me to start lurefishing (Bexhill) I know you have mentioned a few times that you learned alot from Shane for your bass fishing. I think you mention he is a guide and if so could you pm me his details? I have started lure fishing after lockdown, but would like some coaching to check if I’m actually doing it right! If not no worries I will carry on learning from your videos!
Great video mate, have you ever fished Sennen Cove from shore? I’m looking for some guidance if you could help please like what lures I should use around there and what to look out for to target bass. I’m planning a trip next week to Sennen Cove and and lures I’ve got for the trip are Patchinko 500g (Lieu), Samson Enticer tweak 50g, Dolive stick, savage gear lemon back sandeel 42g, black minnow, Rapala mackerel shallow diver 47g any tips would be greatly appreciated.
I have fished ther once about 15 years ago , so I’m not too good with tactics asking locally will be the answer. However think early mornings or in to dark will probably out fish daytime (if safe) These lures will all work if fished properly, if I remember it can be very good for bass or not at all ! Hit and miss! World sea fishing forum could be helpful here. Don’t be afraid to let the tide and current do the work of the lure and see what the bait fish are . Have you tried a Needlefish (your Samson would do this) at night , using the tide at the right depth this could be a great option for you. Have fun let us know how it goes
Yes it really does the work for you, think I’ll try and show that with some better footage next time that left right movement is awesome , and when I’ve had fish on it it’s on the drop or stop. It needs decent hooks too. Nice one
@@SaltwaterAngler Just another tip; I used the new HTO Labrax Snax on Wednesday evening for the first time. The most stunning movement I have seen from any soft plastic. Amazing. I had two decent Bass on them. They cast like a missile.
@@SaltwaterAngler With these mate. They are made by Mustad. Have the Ultrapoint tip. www.agmdiscountfishing.co.uk/product/agm-wide-gape-hook-size-6-0-5pcs-hitch-hiker-coils/
Not too far, but it shouldn’t be the burning question. Bass be bass , no easy fixes in this game. I encourage us all to find our own special spots and learn their idiosyncrasies , there’s bigger and better fish out there and the reward for finding your own marks is fulfilling.
Maybe like finding a girlfriend in my younger years it might be easier asking the other blokes if they know any good ones but realising it’s more fulfilling finding my own ! To be fair there’s plenty of mark guides on the channel and old sea angler magazines have mark guides dating back 30 years. Tight lines all
@@SaltwaterAngler I wasn't implying that you reveal the mark, as I know from your video's you show a number of good spots along the coastline. I was merely wondering if you had actually gone into another County.
@@SaltwaterAngler good metaphor. When I was jounger I lived in a more remote area and you would meet a nice girl only to find 5 other guys all over her, similar to good fishing marks in my area now ( hove to shoreham)
