If you do a lift you need to put off set spacer’s in to straighten the front springs and spacers to drop chassis cross member cos the front drive shaft will hit when weight comes off suspension
Great video. The traction control system, AllGrip, reacts a bit too slow for my liking. That’s why I’m ordering a rear locker from Kaiser in Brazil in July, and a front one in December. But, as you said, the Jimny is a very capable vehicle right of the showroom.
Love my Yokohama G003's. Onto my second set and very happy with them. People are often surprised at how well they hook up in slippery conditions. Hope you guys like them as well.
You will lose articulation if you go bigger than 30" and you'll need a gear reduction too and to compound the problem I heard that the gear reductions have a long waiting list now. With the OME 40mm lift and 30" tires you can get max articulation and the springs are softer than tough dog (better for wheeling, not ideal for heavy touring). This is really the sweet spot for driving Vic and NSW tracks in my opinion.
Dude where are your vids? I used to watch yours again and again. Interesting info on OME vs TD for articulation. How many mm difference up front? I thought I was set on TD 40mm but after reading this comment I'm thinking about going to ARB to get the OME's in.
Hi@@hhhs001 I haven't been driving the Jimny much since the end of COVID restrictions. Was planning to make more vids because it has a diff locker and gear reduction now but sadly I think I'll be putting the Jimny on the market soon to get a house deposit ready. Still love it though. Regarding the max articulation I forgot to mention that's with the sway bar disconnected. So you kind of get the best of both worlds, on road and off road. But you have to disconnect one side of the sway bar, or in my case I would just remove it completely as most of my off roading was local.
Any chance you guys can list out the exact mods / wheels / tyres? Is it a 40mm lift on the beige one? Not too fussed on ride height but really keen on getting more articulation up the front.
hey, could you add more details regarding white Jimny, especially about the lift kit? - which arms were installed (front and rear) which angles (castor correction) do they have? - which drive shafts? - are axle flanges parallel after the lift? - does it have reduction gears, if yes could you add details Sorry about a lot of questions, just curiosity
Finding the Jimny content interesting Dave! I'm intrigued to know what would be classed as legal tyres and lift for them, especially here in SA? I imagine the two modified ones would both be over the legal limit here?
He is way too conscious on hitting anything (as it should be). But could have gotten off the vehicle, survey the land, and decide which line to take and relay the info to the spotter so he could adjust.
I have no idea why people attempt a step or climb and stop then they crawl , then stop , then crawl just drive it ! You fuck around and have 10 goes and something and out more stress on your vehicle . Just move slow but still with momentum and keep going .
На самом деле Джимни в стоке более чем достаточно для реальной жизни. Разве что поставить грязевую резину и лебедку. Этого вполне хватит для выездов на природу в условиях обычного бездорожья. А такие условия как в видео в реальной жизни не существуют.
Suzuki naming sense on their colours are horrible lime green is kinetic yellow and then we have bluish black which is no different then black 😮💨 thought we will get a bit of darker shade of Nexa blue but its rubbish
Whilst the new Jimny isn't bad l feel it could have been so much better, the engine is not good for offroading, torque too high up the rev range, low range transfer gear much too high, should have been at least 4 to 1, the clutch is a week spot and desperately needs a 6th gear for highway use.
This was a side effect of their pathetic attempt to meet emissions standards in more countries while keeping the price down. That said, it's great at offroading for what it is.
Lets face it..a Jimny is meant for fun on road with the ability to do off roading.. While it is ridiculously popular .. a Patrol with diff locks, lifted on 35s with 300k on the clock can be had for 10-20k even today after Covid ..why bother spending money and changing what the car was meant to be .. Jimny is a fun car with better than awd ability. I live in Perth too and while the Jimny is ridculously popular for what it is ..I rarely see them out.. the current gen.. yes heaps of the old ones on the chicken tracks in Mundaring and the heart break hill area as well .. to each his/her own I suppose but an old Jeep XJ is still a better buy at 4000 dollars I reckon than a current gen Jimny for offroading
"Patrol with diff locks, lifted on 35s with 300k on the clock can be had for 10-20k" Your lookin at minimum 15 to 20k if your unfortunate like me in WA. Not to mention the thousands of work you will put into it maintenance wise over the next 5 yeas of ownership. A car like that has been thrashed & bashed. The fuel consumption will be high as all hell with them wheels. That many KM's your not far from gearbox & engine failures that may need a rebuild or replacement. It would end up costing more than a brand new Jimny plus mods & fuel over the 5 year period. Only difference is the Jimny cant do deep water crossings due to it being relatively low. It can do pretty much everything else and what it cant do it can generally go around (unless its a gnarly bog/water crossing)
A great video to show what not to do, he wasn't even in low range and most likely would have crawled up most of it if he was!
Well.. i typed some then deleted not wanting to sound stereotypical 😂

I tend to agree, we’ll be sourcing some e lockers pretty soon. Then we’ll see how she goes

I have my Jimny on order and love doing some mods. Could you share some details on your lift, wheels, offsets, roobar, winch. Awesome little beast.
Hard work watching that lad crucifying the lime green one.
Same.

Forgive my ignorance but if you get a bigger lift can't you have 31s with plenty of articulation?
Very interesting, yet there is no mention about the fuel consumption difference between the standard Jimny and the modified ones.
Judging by wheel spin of the green car, it wasn't in a 4L. Also I don't see any flex on tires. Did you forget to air it down?
Great stuff. What size tires are those on the standard rims?
An excellent video though.. very good on the line
finding.. I enjoyed it
Any chance you guys can list out the exact mods / wheels / tyres?

I think it had 80mm lift kit
Jeezz... Imagine someone thst bought that lime jimny second hand watching this video...
Great little vid!
Cant wait for more offroading as the mods continue👍👍
Please provide link or share mods done to the White beast please

Following ! Were you able to gather that info ? I’m looking to buy a lift it .
Con le 31 è sicuramente meglio in offroad comunque anche completamente originale si difende bene grande JIMNY!!!❤️💪🏻🔥
Crunch the sill. Crunch the rear bumper. ‘Yeah that’s fine, that’s fine.’ 😅
That Kinetic yellow jimny what tyre is that? Is it mud terrain 215/75 R15?
this makes me want a jimny
Is that track in Menai open to the public? I thought there were no trails around that area.
What lift are you running to run 31s ? I’m looking for one , I only find small 2 inch lifts.
great content, none of that wham bam thankyou mam, 4wheeling.👍
Finding the Jimny content interesting Dave! I'm intrigued to know what would be classed as legal tyres and lift for them, especially here in SA? I imagine the two modified ones would both be over the legal limit here?
You would be correct. 50mm overall is all you can do in SA
Great video! What roof rack did the Yellow colour Jimny have on?
What size lift and tyers are on the tan zuk ?
Hmmm spotting on the green jimny is dubious..... poor guy is getting ordered about not sure if the spotter as any clues?
He is way too conscious on hitting anything (as it should be). But could have gotten off the vehicle, survey the land, and decide which line to take and relay the info to the spotter so he could adjust.
Hi guys. Can someone tell me the wheel size, make, tyre size and tyre brand please of rhe white jimny??
What wheels has the beige Jimny?
Hey guys where is this ? I know it’s Menai but where the entry etc, would love to do this track one day, is there a gate lock

Che assetto monta il Jimny bianco ? Hm 4x4?

Great video. Is everyone driving manual there?
Some auto, some manual
I have no idea why people attempt a step or climb and stop then they crawl , then stop , then crawl just drive it ! You fuck around and have 10 goes and something and out more stress on your vehicle . Just move slow but still with momentum and keep going .
What tire size is using the White Jimny? Beastie,
For this video it has 29’s
a locker makes the JB74W so much more capable at low throttle
Matt, dash offroad....Dashmatt offroad.
😅😂🤣
Bring back the y62
Manual trasmission for Man automatic for boys 💪🏻😜
Does anyone have crawler gears for these yet.
Yep, these are on the cards

But what about the underpowered engine
What to do beef up
Replace ?
Watch this space 👌
A tune/ECU remap would help out a great deal.
I have remapping many little 4x4’s with great power and torque gains, especially for down low torque….
What about a mini G Wagon ?
I would have gotten you up without packing….
Traky edition lizbith home grown
What's the front bar on the white zook?
Two with automatic 1 with manual

mate its a suzuki. dont forget the samurai made to rev. if it was designed to be good at everything it would not be as cheap and reliable
