I love the 65' Mustang Project Car, please post more videos!! I would love to see a dual barrel carb install with headers; maybe even a port divider... (maybe Clifford or equal) .. Thanks!!!
Should Google (problems with power disc brake conversion kit 1965 Mustang) Before purchasing issues with pedal to the floor lots of complaints with no fix
Ive seen this kit from other vendors and instructions say the pedal rod needs to mounted 1” below the original location on the pedal assembly. I see it wasnt done here. Is it required? What does moving 1” down do?
If your looking for the thing he put in the master Cylinder. It’s called “Master Cylinder Pushrod Adapter” I spend soooo long trying to find the right term for it
I would like to do this to my 64 1/2 with 6-cylinder, but mine is a 4-speed manual, you mentioned the kit is for an automatic trans car, is there a similar kit for manual trans?
I actually installed this kit on my 65 Mustang and the brake lights will just come on by themselves at times and stay on. Would you suggest adjusting the push rod?
What is the part number of the adapter for the rear brake line attachment to the proportioning valve? I’m having a terrible time finding the correct part.
I purchased the M.C but it didnt come wiht the proportioning valve rear outlet brake line adapter. Does anyone have a part number for it. On the video you can see at 8:47 min mark. Thanks
Why doesn't this fit a manual transmission? My guess is, because of the linkage for the clutch. If I swap the linkage for a cable, can I use it on a manual transmission?
I have over heat issues i have 1966 Ford Mustang with inline 6 with air conditioning I live in Arizona it gets hot is their auxiliary fan to help the air coditioning and from getting hot
They did (170 CID in 1964 and 200 CID afterwards). Ford discontinued the I6 during the 1970's only to reintroduce it with the Fox body models in 1979 due to a shortage of V6 engines.
Bill Tumas. w/ master cylinder installed, the port closer to the power brake vacuum is for the rear brakes? and the second port (farthest from power brake vacuum ) is for the front brakes? i want to make sure i line up correctly
There is a small fitting at 8:50 for the rear brake line. It looks to be an adapter of some kind. Can anyone help me find it. I don’t know where to get that
@@FASTCarsLive I found the adapter but it wasn’t easy and I have no clue nowadays. It was a while ago and now my mustang has all new brake lines anyways so I made proper fittings then
Great video as always Bill. Question, what do you recommend for a front disk brake conversion for a 66' Mustang with a manual transmission. I have the OEM style single bowl now, four corner drum and the car was originally an automatic. Thanks for your help!
Why would I not be able to convert to front disk? Something like this...www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-dual-bowl-master-cylinder-conversion-non-power-front-disc-brakes-kit-1965-1966/p/DBCA120DR/
Bill Tumas I have an original 3 speed car, is there a power conversion like this for it, and if so, what is the difference compared to the one in this video?
There is no dual bowl power conversion that will clear the original three speed linkage. There is a single bowl version only. www.cjponyparts.com/master-power-brake-conversion-kit-single-bowl-manual-transmission-1965-1966/p/BBCK1/
Thank you for giving attention to the less popular i6 mustangs.
These videos are incredible.

Smart safe upgrade, on any old mustang!
Should Google (problems with power disc brake conversion kit 1965 Mustang) Before purchasing issues with pedal to the floor lots of complaints with no fix
Can you start filming brake videos for manual 289's? Automatics are cool but those of us with Mustangs need to know too.

Just installed this on my car. I’ve got no brakes, yet I’ve pushed the booster pushrod out as far as I can. I’ve bled my brakes four times
I've read that the rod has to attach an 1" under regular placement on the pedal assembly
Same here! What was your resolve? How did you get past the issue? Thanks, Eddie
Same here!!!
What is the rear adapter size?
Do you have a link or part number for the adapter for the rear brake line to the rear of the proportion valve?
I was wondering if you guys could do a how to on installing a 68 Coupe vinyl top
Hard to believe that the best they can do for a mounting bracket.
Why do we not address the 1" lower issue with the kit
Same problem I'm having
I actually installed this kit on my 65 Mustang and the brake lights will just come on by themselves at times and stay on. Would you suggest adjusting the push rod?
What is the part number of the adapter for the rear brake line attachment to the proportioning valve? I’m having a terrible time finding the correct part.
Did you ever find the correct adapter? I’m have the same situation right now and can’t find one that is right anywhere.
Might have missed it but how do you connect the warning light? It’s a 1 wire and the factory has 2
For anyone that doesn’t have a pedal after installation, install a 10lb residual check valve
does the piston adapter come in the kit?
Where did you connect to get the vacuum??
The manifold.
I have a 4 speed standard transmission, will this work?
What size tires did you use on this car?
can this be done without the convo valve?
I purchased the M.C but it didnt come wiht the proportioning valve rear outlet brake line adapter. Does anyone have a part number for it. On the video you can see at 8:47 min mark.
Thanks

i enjoyed this video
Why won’t it work on a manual transmission?
I have over heat issues i have 1966 Ford Mustang with inline 6 with air conditioning I live in Arizona it gets hot is their auxiliary fan to help the air coditioning and from getting hot
Roll the windows down...
Master cylinder
So this should fit to a falcon as well with no problem?
I would think so but we have never tried to install on a Falcon so I cannot say for sure.
hi can you buy the Piston Adaptor separetly please ?
if so where from thanks 11:42
Did you have to bleed the proportioning valve? You never said anything about it
Manual transmision video exists?
Why will this not fiT a manual transmission car?
Mark Poltorak i
Is this going to work with a 289 V8 with an AOD transmission? Also, I have drum brakes all around...
I would like to know the same thing, I have a 66 289 v8.
@@MP72792 same here
The link doesn't work for the kit you link in the description
nice video. However, why do we need the background music? its just noise!!
Its background music. That's the point. Deal with it or make your own videos jerk.
Did the early mustangs come w/ a I6 right from the factory 'cause it's my 1st time I see one
They did (170 CID in 1964 and 200 CID afterwards). Ford discontinued the I6 during the 1970's only to reintroduce it with the Fox body models in 1979 due to a shortage of V6 engines.
I have a 64.5 that originally came with a 170ci I6. That was replaced with a 200ci I6.
on the master Cylinder which port is for the front brakes and which are for rear?
The rear port is for the front brakes.
Bill Tumas which is the one with the smaller resevoir right?
Bill Tumas. w/ master cylinder installed, the port closer to the power brake vacuum is for the rear brakes? and the second port (farthest from power brake vacuum ) is for the front brakes? i want to make sure i line up correctly
The port closest to the front of the car is for the rear, the port closest to the firewall is the front.
I have a 65 falcon futura i6 is it the same installation?
I have not done one on a Falcon but I suspect it will be very similar.
Only automatic? Not standard?
Can you add airbags in a 1965 mustang?
Airbags are inherently designed into the car itself. Short answer is no, not a chance.
Go buy a mustang designed with air bags.
lol

You can still convert to a dual bowl but you will have to stick with manual brakes.

Shave the pushrod
Love the content. please pot that music down or get rid of it. very distracting. : )
they inflate thh price
+Manuel Acosta How do you figure? This kit is close to $200 cheaper than many comparable kits on the market.
U7
Really lazy bracket design.
Not that difficult
why not a 67 conversion everything 65 66 that you guys do... do a 67
We did do a conversion kit install on a '68, which would be the same for your '67 th-cam.com/video/S8-prqIUWa0/w-d-xo.html
The background music is ridiculous and and serves no purpose.
first.
What exactly was the adapter size for 65 289 straight 6?
