One thing I have not seen a lot of people talk about is that your can craft legendary weapons for 2 modules and the scrap them to get the chance to get one of the perks… for example if you want to unlock bloodied to craft you can craft the unstoppable monster from the weapon workbench and scrap it to possibly get the ability to craft bloodied! Ps: Scrapper perk is a must when doing this! (The unstoppable mister requires 2 deathclaw hands so the scrapper perk should give both hands back)
I have been going on Expeditions and speed running the Boardwalk. You get about 6 legendaries, ammo and stamps. I still have a bunch of plans to learn for stamps. 👍

I think this update also kindof breathes new life into events since there are many that people just didnt do because it didnt reward plans they wanted, just dropped a few legendaries. Like for instance the watoga high school event that spawns ghouls asf ( which means in turn legendary ghouls asf) and the robot event at the robco factory which garuntees ( or at least is supposed too garuntee) a legendary spawn at the end with the possibility of more throughout it. Many events that werent seeing alot of traffic are now potentially great sources of extra legendaries to farm. I spent my day off hitting all of those plus daily ops plus expedtions on each character. Was well worth it. I now know the assasins and faster fire rate crafting plans. As well as another i cant remember bc it wasnt important.
@@bagg3y there is SUPPOSED to be, sadly awol armaments as well as a few other event types that are supposed to spawn garunteed legendaries ( lookin at you horde events!!) Sometimes glitch out and spawn a crown enemy instead. But as far as like how the games intended to work, yes there is supposed to be a garunteed legendary at the end of AWOL armaments. I know sometimes there isnt, but thats NOT intended.
Only scrapped about 50 items and got two box mods but five or so learned so fair enough. I honestly didn't know how to see what I've learned so great tip there.
Damn. Scrapped a lot of 2 star God roll legendaries because I thought making them 3 star would reset the first 2 stars. I can't complain though. I was fortunate enough to learn the crafting for Bloodied, Two Shot, Quad, Inertial, Swift, Endurance, Durability, and Unyielding legendary modules. Pretty good for day 1 of the update. I hoarded a bunch of legendaries for awhile way back before I even knew the update was going to allow the scrapping and crafting of legendaries. I don't know whether or not it affected it any way shape or form but I used my ammo crafting perk build and unyielding armor set when scrapping. Thanks for the Technical Data.
Oh really? I have yet to learn even one crappy mod. It's hard for me to scrap these 3 stars knowing I'm trading 40 to 45 script for 4 or 5 and maybe a very low % chance of learning something. Ok so you learn what you scrap so it makes no sense to scrap exterminator because I'll never use it? Use those to trade at the Pick and scrap just the bloodied, quad, vampire, etc?
While scrapping, scrap _slowly_ . The game might otherwise make you miss a few chances for legendary mods (at least I assume it's the same as for gift boxes etc).
That's a great tip - it's all too easy to scrap a god roll or equipment you want to keep. Recommend to store them if you have the space before scrapping bulk amounts, otherwise as you said: Scrap slowly and carefully.
I scrapped a couple hubdred of legendary items and I learned unyielding, bloodied, anti armor, centinels, cavaliers, resistance for armors and a couple more things, Im so happy with this update

Got 1 single legendary from radiation rumble and a load of borderline rubbish mods from scrapping. The percentage chance to get something is just too low. Also now add into the mix that fact I had the message pop up that i learned Vampires, but I it does not show up for me...awesome
It's still better than the odds for getting a decent 3 stars on the old system tbh, I have plenty that got the 1 star I wanted but the other 2 are utter garbage. The new system will solve that but it will take time and a lot of scrap to get there
The drop rate is the same. Enemies just despawn now after a few mins. You have to run and collect all the junk you can every few mins instead of waiting til the end of the event. I played Eviction Notice last night and only got like 4 legendaries, then I realized it was because they all despawned. Lol played it twice today and both times I ran and gathered legendaries about every 3 mins and both times I have over 20 by the end of the event. Wild but you just can’t stay in one spot anymore. Ya gotta move and gather lol
Some legendary mods can be applied to weapons, armour, and power armour, and when you inspect the box mod, it tells you what that box-mod can be applied to, which is helpful
Excatly. This game is becoming game for elitist players. Basicly players who have played multiple seasons and have thousands of hours played who were tired of old system. Now Bethesda is listening feedback from those elitist players and other players voice get ignored.
I had 3 mule characters completely full of legendaries, both on their person and in stash boxes. I scrapped all of them and learned about 8 plans, and still did not manage to get one good one, and I see in your video that you learned Quad, Bloodied, Unyielding, AND Overeaters..... I don't even understand how you managed that! lol... I gotta go grind out even more expeditions now!
I had 5 mules full stacked. I learnt everything but +intell and Junkies. RNG was good to me. My friend, who had just as much, didn’t get half of what I did, but did manage to get the two I didn’t 😊
I didn’t have a lot of stuff stashed but I did manage to learn to make a single 3 star mod! Sadly it’s Resilient which just gives damage resistance when reloading so I’ve used up my luck doing it for that.
I think this update is pretty good amd fair at the same time, i think its better than praying to get all three star legendary perks the exact ones, now you can just farm to get that perk and put it into the weapon of your choice
I absolutely love your videos MrWestTek and the amount of information you are able to gather. It would be awesome if you also make a video with the current bugs that are showing up more and more in all platforms and that can truly affect our progress. I personally lost about 50 score boosters that I claimed from the past season on the extra rewards page. Disappearing bodies on public events and therefore losing all unclaimed loot (this is specially bad on Eviction Notice or Radiation Rumble) and the constant freezing of the game at random moments which have caused players to die before they even know whats going on. I know that you always try to stay positive regarding these updates and avoid complaining that much but it's not fair for the player base (because lets be honest, its not a FreeToPlay game) and those who support the game by subscribing to FO1st or buying items at the atomic shop having to work around this bugs and constant crashes and little things that should be easily fixable instead of just having a non-broken game for a change.
I'll bet Bloodied box mods will sell really nicely though. And I think that you can still sell items that you mod with the trait, so perhaps there will be a profitable opportunity for you to modify and sell Bloodied equipment.
I have been using the profits from selling bloodied to slowly round out my mod collection, but I don’t think the economy will stabilize until caravans release and add some additional value to caps.
Notes stated if we add a mod to a weapon its locked to that character, had wondered if that meant a mod we had learned only or boxed mods BUT if we have to create the box to apply to the item then it seems if we apply any mod directly sales are gone, only the random rolled legendaries are tradable (within limits of the specific items of course).
Just wanted to let you and others know that there is either a nerf or bug with Healing Factor Serum. It went from 300% regen health down to now only 3% regen health. Maybe you or anybody and look into this as well. Thank you big fan of yours!
Broke down over 150 armor weapons and got one 1 star legendary mod and 1 2 star legendary mod and the fact you can't simply reroll an already legendary gun, you can only mod it with legendary mods you aquire from braking down other legendarys or you have to carft an entirely new weapon then it'll allow you to roll 1 2 or 3 star legendary effects on it but once you do that you can't reroll it only mod it that's ridiculously stupid. The amount of scrap that were gonna blow through is gonna be insane along with the fact the mods weigh 1 pound a piece so that's one more thing to manage in the stash box.....
Don't know why people are mad in general lol it's just a game I think it's fun cause it gives me something to do now and I can utilize all the modules on my mules now that cored are gone

Not sure if it's a glitch or intended but I scrapped a few weapons and got 2 mods, a 2 star and 3 star, but when I went to store them in my stash I only had the 3 star. If it's intended then it's ridiculous, I'm hoping it's a glitch they'll fix
I’ve scrapped about a dozen legendaries so far and gotten no mod boxes and no plans learned. I get it’s supposed to be rare but it feels like they set it in the .003% range.
All I know is that I have scrapped over 100 weapons and armor so far and got 1 Strength Mod. Thats it! Bethesda could have at least added a Perk Card or Serum Buff or something to improve the chance to learn a Legendary Mod. IMO this new system is TRASH!
Man, I like the idea of building pretty much any legendary weapon/armour...but I will miss "rolling" and having that few seconds of anticipation of what I would get. ;)
Been playng since launch, got 1000 plus hours and 4 character all over level 250, and not one do I have GR weapons. Finally I don’t have to depend so much on RNgjesus! I have so many 1 off weapons that I’m gonna make great now. Ive only done like 50 weapons and already have bloodied and a few other perks.
They should have put in a system so that we can see if we have already learned it. Hopefully, the Nexus Mod people will get on that soon... It's like no one considers UI/UX ever.
What i think this system means is while our ability to randomly craft legendaries in the hope of getting a decent item are gone, but we can change our stars on items we otherwise like to make it into a “god roll”. Sadly, i didnt hoard items as i give decent weapons away or sell them. As i just came back from a long break, and didn’t know about this, i wondered why I couldn’t keep my vendor stocked with decent meta weapons and armor…. Oh well, probably gonna take me longer to learn and i’m happy i hoard bobble heads.
For some reason i don't have that option when i look at the tinker workshop, there is no legendary mod tab, despite i know for certain i have unlocked at least 1 crafting option?
I am now scrapping before script. I see no point in going for script at the moment given the price of modules unless I have the mods or plans to use them. I noticed the easy way to see if it's a plan or mod is Tinker's bench will show plans only. Mods will be under...you guessed it mods in your inventory. I have a few mods so far and the plans for explosive and swift. Like you said in a month or two the emphasis will be on script, not scrap. A current tip would be to use the Bobblehead perk to locate everything you can when out in the wasteland.
I don't know how much Scrip you get from the vending machine, but only a few are rewarded from scrapping. I'll eventually test it by using the vendor for items that have traits I don't want/need to learn, and see how much more I get that way.
I actually like the new update, surprised it came out as smoothly as it did (relatively speaking). My only complaint is its way too damn easy and quick to learn the plans for the box mods. I scrapped only about 100 legendaries and already have 10 plans learned, which is wild to me. At this rate ill have every single legendary mod learned in less than a few weeks. The drop rate for mod boxes seems near perfect but the plans are too common
I personally think for a quad railway rifle use the ticket to freedom you get from skyline valley since it already has higher then usually mag instead of 10 rounds it's a 20 round mag
I've never had nor seen a bloodie weapon so now if I broke it I may never get the mod or plan. So glad you can still get a random set of mods but now it's building it. Full health commando
me too 15 mules only one has learned plan like 400 weapons scraped per charactor, i think going back to starfield and fallout 4 soon this seems like pointless scrap grind
I played for 3 hours last night and scrapped a whole bunch of legendaries after doing about 5 events. I got one +3 to endurance mod which I was able to attach to a piece of armor. The rate is very low so you really do have to just keep grinding. On the last day of the double xp weekend and man people are opening up lunchboxes left right and center and my levels are getting high 😂
So for everyone evaluating whether to mass scrap right now? It's 1.5% rolled three times for mods, 1% rolled 3 times for blueprints. I'd wait for a numbers buff.
So let me make sure I understand this part: If I want to unlock the ability to add one-star (or two or three, individually?) I have to use Modules to unlock each of those slots? And it appears that doing so gives a random Legendary trait, which you may or may not like. And then to change that effect if desired, you'd apply a box mod or craft the desired Trait with Scrip and ingredients? It may seem obvious to some, but now that Scrip and Modules are harder to come by (and converted poorly from previously), I don't want to waste any by experimenting.
Don't know if I'm super lucky or something but i managed to get all of my desired armor + weapon effect craft plans. Two shot, explosive, 15 reload and other main effects vampire and unyielding as well 7+ effect craft plans after scrapping about 300ish weapons.
It's a really simple system, not complex... I have a hard time understanding why it is confusing, what to do is on screen right in front of you.....anyway, I've scraped 187 legendaries... I know this because I've counted... Got most of all of them from running MSG and completing it at 12 minutes. It's a mix of mostly 3 and 2 stars with one star being the least amount scraped: maybe my luck is good, or maybe it's average. Out of 187 legendaries (91 day one and 96 yesterday) I have received: 1 time use: *instigating, *two shot, **endurance, **perception, ***Ghosts Learned plan: *hunters, *vampires, ***Lucky (tho I wish it was ***Luck) and ***Thru-Hikers There is a sale today, (9-5-24) and I've been debating buying all one star items for scrap vs, 2 or 3 for weapons. 3 star options are very limited in usefulness on weapons, so I'm probably going 2 star for weapons. And then buying the 3rd star from a player for any price I find reasonable. Does anyone know if armor mod "Belted" stacks? I find that as a much needed 3rd star on armor due to the fact I'm currently running bandolier and batteries included because I do not have FO 1st and have nowhere to store ammo except on my character. If it does stack, I'll be buying 3-4000 $45 scrip armor today from the rusty pick sale hoping I get some belted items to scrap. I'd like to think I did alright getting my unlockables with only 187 items scrapped.... Hopefully my luck continues and Thank you for the cranberry relish/brain bombs video and some others as well. i had learn when scraping my bloodied hunter rifle that dropped from safe and sound. it doesnt instantly gives you the mod, so we have to scrap it more and more. It means we have to grind more at expeditions or events.
Be careful if you make the 1 star, I think it costs 5 modules, but if you then want to add the other 2 levels, it costs 15 modules. That's the same price as if you just made it 3 stars to begin with, so you in fact end up with a 3 star that costs you 20 modules instead of 15.
I scrapped several pieces and already learned weightless, it was not few at all so chance is surely tiny but well.. and I got two box mods, one is that thirst/food meter bonus, which sadly sucks and I am sure it will not even sell at vendor as someone who has no mule or whatever else and dont want or even cant really conveniently transfer items here and there, I will scrap everything at beginning till I learn decent amount of things, that will take while, and scrap everything of what box can be very valuable, and then will scrip till limits are filled and then scrap everything, also at moment you cant travel, if not premium account and thus be able to pop up tents everywhere, just scrap things, I dont even plan on getting any scrip directly till I buy bunch of boxes at murrmurr, and I plan to do it on that event only if I am not mistaken, that comes next week
I got lucky and got quite a few crafting recipes and a couple boxes so far. I think unlocking the recipes is worth the work then once they are learned then back to regular scrap via scrap machine
I got so unlucky it I scraped my whole collection, and I got the explosive mod and quad, but when I went to check my inventory, they were no where to be found
Does your luck attribute have any affect on learning the box mod or the plan? Like the higher your luck and with scrapper (they should make that a 5 star to improve chances of learning stuff), I would think that would improve your chances.
I can't wait to fill my stash with mods woo. I wish they would have had the foresight to denote something we already know or still need when we look at an item's effects so we wouldn't have to either play rain man and remember everything we learned already or have to check each time we need to know if we need the effect. I’m just scrapping everything that has an unlearned effect to help reduce the total pool of effects I need to learn. Given the 1% chance to learn a plan, I’d rather not waste it on assassins or cloaking.
The new patch still has not fixed the PS5 freezing and when you get messages that you learned a legendary effect such as anti-armor or Vanguard it does show available at the crafting benches; I've learned 4 but 0 work. Also, on days you get decent results (mods/learned items) but other days you get zero (no mods/nothing learned) even scrapping 150 legendary items. So if you scrap 30 items and get nothing I would quit scrapping for that day.
What’s the chances the drop rates could get increased in the near future? Must have 2800 lbs of legendaries on a mule. Idk whether to scrap them now or wait for a potential increase.
Honestly this is the first update where I don’t stress about anything. I played a couple hours and kinda got the hang of it but I’m done stressing or feeling fomo.
Scrapped about 50 so far and got one mod box, and it wasn't even one I'd use. I'm not a player that chases grolls and am mostly satisfied with my current loadout but even still I'm pretty annoyed with what they've done here. Not the concept, but the ratios and increased cost. Making a legendary used to cost 4 modules at 50 scrip each. Now that cost is 15 modules at 100 scrip each. So the price of making a legendary from scratch went from 200 scrip to 1500 scrip. The only real explanation for this is they wanted to kill off the market outside the game for game items, but in reality while they've killed the market for weapons they've just replaced it with one for mods now.
If you are just a casual player and only have 5-10 legendary weapons on hand at one time, do you recommend scrapping or selling for scrip? I don't ever see myself farming and having hundreds of legendaries.

I personally lost about 50 score boosters that I claimed from the past season on the extra rewards page. Disappearing bodies on public events and therefore losing all unclaimed loot (this is specially bad on Eviction Notice or Radiation Rumble) and the constant freezing of the game at random moments which have caused players to die before they even know whats going on. I know that you always try to stay positive regarding these updates and avoid complaining that much but it's not fair for the player base (because lets be honest, its not a FreeToPlay game) and those who support the game by subscribing to FO1st or buying items at the atomic shop having to work around this bugs and constant crashes and little things that should be easily fixable instead of just having a non-broken game for a change.
Love the new grind! Can't wait to get the good stuff unlocked and start crafting exactly what I want!!
Bloodied was the first thing I learned and it happened before I had a single box mod drop... best part, I'm not even a Bloodied build 😅
I'll bet Bloodied box mods will sell really nicely though. And I think that you can still sell items that you mod with the trait, so perhaps there will be a profitable opportunity for you to modify and sell Bloodied equipment.
I have been using the profits from selling bloodied to slowly round out my mod collection, but I don’t think the economy will stabilize until caravans release and add some additional value to caps.

Notes stated if we add a mod to a weapon its locked to that character, had wondered if that meant a mod we had learned only or boxed mods BUT if we have to create the box to apply to the item then it seems if we apply any mod directly sales are gone, only the random rolled legendaries are tradable (within limits of the specific items of course).

Just wanted to let you and others know that there is either a nerf or bug with Healing Factor Serum. It went from 300% regen health down to now only 3% regen health. Maybe you or anybody and look into this as well. Thank you big fan of yours!

I usually hate grinding….but the rarity of the plans makes it worth it 😁 if ur playing every day more or less, it’s not gonna take months and months
Broke down over 150 armor weapons and got one 1 star legendary mod and 1 2 star legendary mod and the fact you can't simply reroll an already legendary gun, you can only mod it with legendary mods you aquire from braking down other legendarys or you have to carft an entirely new weapon then it'll allow you to roll 1 2 or 3 star legendary effects on it but once you do that you can't reroll it only mod it that's ridiculously stupid. The amount of scrap that were gonna blow through is gonna be insane along with the fact the mods weigh 1 pound a piece so that's one more thing to manage in the stash box.....
Don't know why people are mad in general lol it's just a game I think it's fun cause it gives me something to do now and I can utilize all the modules on my mules now that cored are gone

I had some questions that ima try to ask some channels, if I scrap named legendaries (pirates punch the kabloom etc) can I learn plans or get mods from them?
I haven't been able to find this out either.
Wonder if scrapper card effects chance in any way know I had better results with it equipped but might just be chance.

Not sure if it's a glitch or intended but I scrapped a few weapons and got 2 mods, a 2 star and 3 star, but when I went to store them in my stash I only had the 3 star. If it's intended then it's ridiculous, I'm hoping it's a glitch they'll fix
I’ve scrapped about a dozen legendaries so far and gotten no mod boxes and no plans learned. I get it’s supposed to be rare but it feels like they set it in the .003% range.
soo rare doesnt make sence one my charactor scraped 400 weapons got nothing then a other one got something after 15 scraped ????
All I know is that I have scrapped over 100 weapons and armor so far and got 1 Strength Mod. Thats it!
Bethesda could have at least added a Perk Card or Serum Buff or something to improve the chance to learn a Legendary Mod.

Got my first bloodied gun after the update. Super excited
Been playng since launch, got 1000 plus hours and 4 character all over level 250, and not one do I have GR weapons. Finally I don’t have to depend so much on RNgjesus! I have so many 1 off weapons that I’m gonna make great now. Ive only done like 50 weapons and already have bloodied and a few other perks.
They should have put in a system so that we can see if we have already learned it. Hopefully, the Nexus Mod people will get on that soon... It's like no one considers UI/UX ever.

What i think this system means is while our ability to randomly craft legendaries in the hope of getting a decent item are gone, but we can change our stars on items we otherwise like to make it into a “god roll”.
Sadly, i didnt hoard items as i give decent weapons away or sell them.
As i just came back from a long break, and didn’t know about this, i wondered why I couldn’t keep my vendor stocked with decent meta weapons and armor…. Oh well, probably gonna take me longer to learn and i’m happy i hoard bobble heads.

For some reason i don't have that option when i look at the tinker workshop, there is no legendary mod tab, despite i know for certain i have unlocked at least 1 crafting option?
Had a 2 star quad, 50 critical damage railway and when I added the 3 star it gave me -25 ap cost and turned it into a groll
I am now scrapping before script. I see no point in going for script at the moment given the price of modules unless I have the mods or plans to use them. I noticed the easy way to see if it's a plan or mod is Tinker's bench will show plans only. Mods will be under...you guessed it mods in your inventory. I have a few mods so far and the plans for explosive and swift. Like you said in a month or two the emphasis will be on script, not scrap. A current tip would be to use the Bobblehead perk to locate everything you can when out in the wasteland.
I don't know how much Scrip you get from the vending machine, but only a few are rewarded from scrapping.
I'll eventually test it by using the vendor for items that have traits I don't want/need to learn, and see how much more I get that way.
I actually like the new update, surprised it came out as smoothly as it did (relatively speaking). My only complaint is its way too damn easy and quick to learn the plans for the box mods. I scrapped only about 100 legendaries and already have 10 plans learned, which is wild to me. At this rate ill have every single legendary mod learned in less than a few weeks. The drop rate for mod boxes seems near perfect but the plans are too common
All player created Box mods are now carrying a player origin code. The rehash of the economy is partly to track RMTs.

I personally think for a quad railway rifle use the ticket to freedom you get from skyline valley since it already has higher then usually mag instead of 10 rounds it's a 20 round mag
I've never had nor seen a bloodie weapon so now if I broke it I may never get the mod or plan. So glad you can still get a random set of mods but now it's building it. Full health commando
I absolutely hate the new legendary crafting system. I've scrapped probably 100-150 legs and got 2 legendary effects.
The drop rate is so low. Why not make it a permanently learned thing? Ive scrapped so many legendaries for nothing. 😒
me too 15 mules only one has learned plan like 400 weapons scraped per charactor, i think going back to starfield and fallout 4 soon this seems like pointless scrap grind
I played for 3 hours last night and scrapped a whole bunch of legendaries after doing about 5 events. I got one +3 to endurance mod which I was able to attach to a piece of armor. The rate is very low so you really do have to just keep grinding. On the last day of the double xp weekend and man people are opening up lunchboxes left right and center and my levels are getting high 😂
So for everyone evaluating whether to mass scrap right now? It's 1.5% rolled three times for mods, 1% rolled 3 times for blueprints. I'd wait for a numbers buff.
Have scrapped a tonne of stuff and am only getting garbage mod unlocks.
It certainly seems like the better mods are behind lower odds.
So let me make sure I understand this part:
If I want to unlock the ability to add one-star (or two or three, individually?) I have to use Modules to unlock each of those slots?
And it appears that doing so gives a random Legendary trait, which you may or may not like. And then to change that effect if desired, you'd apply a box mod or craft the desired Trait with Scrip and ingredients?
It may seem obvious to some, but now that Scrip and Modules are harder to come by (and converted poorly from previously), I don't want to waste any by experimenting.
im back on f76 after 3 months!
Don't know if I'm super lucky or something but i managed to get all of my desired armor + weapon effect craft plans. Two shot, explosive, 15 reload and other main effects vampire and unyielding as well 7+ effect craft plans after scrapping about 300ish weapons.
I’m convinced the old legendary gambling was better

It's a really simple system, not complex... I have a hard time understanding why it is confusing, what to do is on screen right in front of you.....anyway, I've scraped 187 legendaries... I know this because I've counted... Got most of all of them from running MSG and completing it at 12 minutes. It's a mix of mostly 3 and 2 stars with one star being the least amount scraped: maybe my luck is good, or maybe it's average.
Out of 187 legendaries (91 day one and 96 yesterday) I have received:
1 time use: *instigating, *two shot, **endurance, **perception, ***Ghosts
Learned plan: *hunters, *vampires, ***Lucky (tho I wish it was ***Luck) and ***Thru-Hikers
There is a sale today, (9-5-24) and I've been debating buying all one star items for scrap vs, 2 or 3 for weapons. 3 star options are very limited in usefulness on weapons, so I'm probably going 2 star for weapons. And then buying the 3rd star from a player for any price I find reasonable.
Does anyone know if armor mod "Belted" stacks?
I find that as a much needed 3rd star on armor due to the fact I'm currently running bandolier and batteries included because I do not have FO 1st and have nowhere to store ammo except on my character. If it does stack, I'll be buying 3-4000 $45 scrip armor today from the rusty pick sale hoping I get some belted items to scrap.

i had learn when scraping my bloodied hunter rifle that dropped from safe and sound. it doesnt instantly gives you the mod, so we have to scrap it more and more. It means we have to grind more at expeditions or events.
Be careful if you make the 1 star, I think it costs 5 modules, but if you then want to add the other 2 levels, it costs 15 modules. That's the same price as if you just made it 3 stars to begin with, so you in fact end up with a 3 star that costs you 20 modules instead of 15.
Also to note, you cannot reroll named legendaries. I tried saving my Red Terror to reroll it but I couldn't apply any other effects to it
I scrapped several pieces and already learned weightless, it was not few at all so chance is surely tiny but well.. and I got two box mods, one is that thirst/food meter bonus, which sadly sucks and I am sure it will not even sell at vendor
as someone who has no mule or whatever else and dont want or even cant really conveniently transfer items here and there, I will scrap everything at beginning till I learn decent amount of things, that will take while, and scrap everything of what box can be very valuable, and then will scrip till limits are filled and then scrap everything, also at moment you cant travel, if not premium account and thus be able to pop up tents everywhere, just scrap things, I dont even plan on getting any scrip directly till I buy bunch of boxes at murrmurr, and I plan to do it on that event only if I am not mistaken, that comes next week
I got lucky and got quite a few crafting recipes and a couple boxes so far. I think unlocking the recipes is worth the work then once they are learned then back to regular scrap via scrap machine

I got so unlucky it I scraped my whole collection, and I got the explosive mod and quad, but when I went to check my inventory, they were no where to be found
We need to know the math involved to really understand if it’s even worth it.
Does your luck attribute have any affect on learning the box mod or the plan? Like the higher your luck and with scrapper (they should make that a 5 star to improve chances of learning stuff), I would think that would improve your chances.
There are people losing their power armor because there is a bug that causes them to be scrapped without the need to select them

I can't wait to fill my stash with mods woo. I wish they would have had the foresight to denote something we already know or still need when we look at an item's effects so we wouldn't have to either play rain man and remember everything we learned already or have to check each time we need to know if we need the effect.

I’m just scrapping everything that has an unlearned effect to help reduce the total pool of effects I need to learn. Given the 1% chance to learn a plan, I’d rather not waste it on assassins or cloaking.
Rngeezus blessed me with anti armor, unyielding, vital, heavy hitter, thru hiker and arms master.
FYI, there’s a new bug related to the Thirst Quencher perk that keeps AP from refreshing. You should explore this.

I unlocked the bloodied mod plan on like my second weapon I’m so glad I don’t need to grind for it anymore
The new patch still has not fixed the PS5 freezing and when you get messages that you learned a legendary effect such as anti-armor or Vanguard it does show available at the crafting benches; I've learned 4 but 0 work. Also, on days you get decent results (mods/learned items) but other days you get zero (no mods/nothing learned) even scrapping 150 legendary items. So if you scrap 30 items and get nothing I would quit scrapping for that day.
So scrip is basically worthless now? Modules are what u need for random rolls?

I learned anti armor on my first scrap. After that I got pretty much nothing. Still, can’t be too mad.
I don't even see the legendary mod option in the crafting menu in the tinker bench nor am I able to apply it to weapon lol
What’s the chances the drop rates could get increased in the near future? Must have 2800 lbs of legendaries on a mule. Idk whether to scrap them now or wait for a potential increase.
Honestly this is the first update where I don’t stress about anything. I played a couple hours and kinda got the hang of it but I’m done stressing or feeling fomo.

Scrapped about 50 so far and got one mod box, and it wasn't even one I'd use. I'm not a player that chases grolls and am mostly satisfied with my current loadout but even still I'm pretty annoyed with what they've done here. Not the concept, but the ratios and increased cost. Making a legendary used to cost 4 modules at 50 scrip each. Now that cost is 15 modules at 100 scrip each. So the price of making a legendary from scratch went from 200 scrip to 1500 scrip. The only real explanation for this is they wanted to kill off the market outside the game for game items, but in reality while they've killed the market for weapons they've just replaced it with one for mods now.
If you are just a casual player and only have 5-10 legendary weapons on hand at one time, do you recommend scrapping or selling for scrip? I don't ever see myself farming and having hundreds of legendaries.
