Who else gets really bad ear pressure, tinnitus, and just ear problems in general? I get pain occasionally and I can feel the tightness in the muscles and hear a click in my jaw, but my most distressing symptoms involve my ears and hearing.

As you know we use our teeth and tongue to talk and because the cusps on some of my molars were shaved by an idiot dentist, I had to learn to speak the way I normally do all over, it didn’t take long because the body is so miraculous thank god it just knows how to adapt. And too much talking now hurts the skull muscles on the side of my head oh and forget singing...my jaw muscles won’t even allow me to belt tunes like I used too at all...I can’t stand having this ugh

Thank you both!!! I have had TMJ for more than 20 years, but it doesn't bother me often. Last night my jaw popped out when yawning, and I couldn't get it back in place. It's come out of place before - infrequently, the last time several years ago - but would always go back in within a minute or two (though it seemed like much longer). Last night it just wouldn't go back so I went to the ER. They tried to manipulate it back without success. While I was waiting for an X-ray, I found this video. I had been massaging the area before, without success, but focusing on the pressure points above was magic! Somehow the muscles (which were quite tense and sore by then - 4 hours after the initial incident) relaxed and it literally "popped" back in place. I can't thank you enough!

I found your video while researching TMJ. I've been to my GP, the dentist and ER, both twice in one week and have three different determinations because everything is a process of elimination. I felt like I was going crazy because the pain is off the charts. It felt like muscle spasms / ice pick headaches. After 3 weeks it became unbearable. I came across your videos and tried the exercises you showed. I haven't had a muscle spasm in 15 minutes. That may not sound like a long time but when you're having them every 30 seconds for hours, at a pain scale of 10 or higher, it is. Thank you for sharing these!

@@MrSpiden the method I used in this video stoped working for me but, I found body lotion that has both aloe & lavender & I just place on the part that hurts & it goes away. I think my head started to hurt do to light sensitivity because I would watch to many videos on my phone so, I also started using sun glasses a lot now, especially when I'm watching videos. But other then that my head doesn't hurt no more & if it does I know I don't have to pop aspirin anymore. The company that makes the lotion I'm using is called EO: Essential. Botanical Body Lotion

🙏Whenever there is a problem with TMJ or mouth opening, chewing food, you would like to tell you from experience that while eating food, keep equal amount of food on both sides of the tooth inside the mouth and chew it slowly or eat soft food, hard things like Do not use copra, gram, brackish etc., exercise the mouth daily before going to sleep at night and after waking up in the morning and keep taking protein and calcium in the diet and be happy.🙂

OMG, I think you guys may have just really helped me! I’ve been in terrible 😢 pain for months at the right TMJ which radiates across my right cheekbone, and lower jaw. I can only chew on one side and can barely open my mouth at times. I feel like the massage, especially where you insert your finger in your mouth and can feel the masseter muscle really relaxed my muscles and reduced the pain. I’m afraid it’s just a fluke and the relief won’t last, but I will keep trying the technique daily a few times a day, and keep my fingers crossed it works on a long term basis. I just spent over a $1000 for a TMJ dentist to make me a splint. He didn’t recommend jaw exercises nor massage. I asked him about Botox injections, since I’d read they really help the pain, and he recommended against them since he believes they are only a band-aid and don’t resolve the underlying problem. He stated the only two things which help are to chant “umm”, “umm” throughout the day whenever you noticed yourself getting stressed and to wear the splint to prevent clenching your jaw at night. I believe he’s partially right, but I need pain relief now. I can’t function properly in this much pain, and I think I need a bit more of a boost and multi-faceted approach. Your technique really seems to be very beneficial. I’m also going to try the Botox. Thanks 🙏 so much.

Thanks so much! These massages are going to be part of my daily schedule from now on. I have really bad pain right where the joint is, in front of my right ear. I also have dizziness and headaches. My dentist told me I had TMJ issues like 20 years ago, but it only acts up now and then. I've just never had dizziness and headaches from it before.

Thank you so much! I've been in so much pain from TMJ lately .. major stress PTSD and anxiety depression... I have to stay in awareness and pay attention that I'm clenching my jaws and then I'll try to relax them but just letting my chin drop... But recently the pain in my ear and that crunching bone, feel like im getting a lock jaw, happens most when I sleep, because I do grind sometimes. that's the most painful it's been for me... The sharp pains above my ears, I literally thought oh God, is it a stroke? Thanks so much for these tips and massages! Took some Stress off me.

Oh my gosh 💖 thank you so much for this!!
About a year ago I got in a car wreck & busted the windshield with my head. The impact caused my jaw to be knocked out of place. I ended up going to a chiropractor and a dentist who sent me to a specialist. They said, basically, the disk in my jaw was ruptured. I chose not to have surgery because i heard jaw surgery is brutal(?). Now I wish I would have because it is constant discomfort and actually..... I cannot find a comfortable position to put my jaw anymore. I had TMJ and a popping jaw for about 10 years before this. So there was already a problem!
