Note : you'll notice some skipped moments of the battle like some certain parts against Covered Core MK-II which was done in order to sync the video with sound correctly or it'll look weird if i kept it the way it was sadly x_x - เกม

if it was suspected from me to cut it to hide something - i politely say : it isn't the case X)
i can show the full clip but the problem is that i was forced to do this to match the sound with the video since the originally recorded clip got an unmatched timing between the sound & the video sadly

The one I wanted you to witness is that when BigCore MK-III is about to charge at you to get to the other side of the screen, you can shoot it's Core (Core has to be Red at least for good survival) with a well charged E-Laser to kill him while he goes toward you. This makes it that the Boss goes WAY off the screen while exploding at the same time...and Succulla still lives with his Force Field gone.
It was amazing and funny.
Wish I remembered it.
There the greatest boss runs or rushes of all time I like all I say!
@DMSwordsmaster about Rolling Core , if you just realized or memorized it's laser attacking tactics you'll get a very good chance to destroy it's core when it stops moving for laser charge or rotating rushing attack ^_^
A little correction on one of the boss names: It's not "Circling" Core, it's "Circle" Core, according to the Gradius Wiki.

the best thing i've ever did to this moment vs him is as i remember maybe on normal or very hard loop 10 ( while they might be the same in the shattered bullets number ) i've stayed against him with no power ups until he escaped ... how about you ?

one of the tricks to help you keeping your eyes in good focus is when you decrease the screen brightness & depending on your experience - you may reach the limit that you can see the incoming attacks in a way by placing your ship in a good spot before it hits the ship - also there is a known system known as hit box in shmups lately which is the point where you'll receive the hit on the ship depending on the size ( and maybe the shape ) of the hit box :)
in Gradius V the hit box is thankfully fairly small enough to evade most of the close call attacks & it is located in the center of the ship as far as i've noticed :)
I see, i always lose the ship because i focus on those blue bouncing lasers (its hard to say where are they gonna bounce and how).
I know about the really small hit box in gradius V (probably the only reason i was able to survive till loop 4)
Well, back on topic, thanks for the tips, ill try them (somehow, my PS2 died n emulator is a bit slow)
unless you practice your eyes to focus in the same way i've mentioned - it should hopefully helps :)
oh and last thing did you beat him with all difficulties ?

Sorry for what looked like spam, i forgot to remove the signature (i use it to mark a joke comment). I got a bit pissed after reading all that nonsense, so i wrote all that crap. By the way, how were you able to see your ship between all those shots, fire, lasers and the spread bomb effects when you fought Beacon? I lost your ship a few times.
You defeated Rolling Core just when he shot his laser. That's kinda scary.
Aw~ Circling Core didn't get to use those mini green lasers.

hmmmmm, i think Rolling Core has a cloaking installed since its last appearance.

that Bigcore MK-III trick ? ( not talking in a show off way but only telling the truth after this notice between 2 bows ) i've already did it in one of my videos ( Gradius History Bigcore MK-III the toughest battles ) which ended up in a funny way XD
my favorite is the rotation core at 0:06

That reminds me. There's a funny way to kill BigCore MK-III. Suculla did it. I wish I remembered the name of the video so I could show it to you.
@DMSwordsmaster if the player don't uses the spread bombs against it ... beware of the spin ball part + bullets XD
to me the easiest if you make it quick to destroy them are ( Death MK-III & Rolling Core ) ^_^
reason is ... Death MK-III don't shoot very dangerous attacks if you destroyed it's first phase to be able on making it in time to destroy it's core since it takes enough time to destroy the core before it rushes to the left side of the screen ^_^
My Bigcore Mk III trick involved Ripple Laser and Spacing. The Ripple Laser can destroy core barriers inside the first form. I call that a GLITCH.
oh my god,these bosses is too hard to beat´em it release a lot of suicide bullets! F%$K!!
@DMSwordsmaster Depends on the weapon set you use. It's even easier with Ripple Laser.
it could be scary in some points but if you've known on how to deal with it on lower loops it'll be easy even on higher loops ^^
yes i understand , because he couldn't even managed to corner me with it XD
if you want it to be truly easy just try to keep shooting it until he stops then attack the core after the laser charge for easy kill ^_^
by far the best boss battle i like is Blaster Cannon and Beacon.

i would like to see that in the same way i did facing him without hiding in any location at least on loop 6 not less than normal difficulty without even shooting or blowing his missiles ^_^
i can tell which are the bosses that it's nearly impossible to be defeated with the usual shadow type on loop 10 not lower than normal difficulty ^_^
1- Bigcore Riv 1.2 ( impossible )
2- Ground Spider ( might be impossible )
3- Blaster Cannon Core ( impossible )
4- Keepers Core ( deadly impossible )

just use freeze type - spread bombs with ripple laser then you'll rip him apart XD
Loop 10 is Ultra Mega Hard.

because it's nearly impossible to make it in time by using the old option style ( shadow type ) due to that if you didn't make it in time you'll 80% get killed when he is using his shattered bullets rapid fire on his 2nd dangerous try ... hey wait don't tell me you're using that cheating way by hiding inside the cores ?

i see ^_^
it's better to play with the weapons types better than using only the usual shadow type due to that it's impossible to clear every sector in every stage in the game ^_^
some bosses can be defeated without using it but not the most ^_^
funny way ?
or should i say more than 3 funny ways to kill it ? XD
even the beginner knows about it which are those :
1- E-laser centered in a correct location with spread bombs for 1 hit kill .
2- hiding between any of the reflection laser cannons for no bullet shatter hits .
3- using E-laser with Shield attacking at full charges in the center for safest kill .
so to make it simple Bigcore MK-III can be killed in many easy tricks ... but facing it with bravery is the nightmare as i did here T_T
try it loop 6 very hard ^_^
and don't use that core's hiding trick just like shinya & succulla both did ^_^
if you don't know what i'm saying just check out they're vidoes vs covered core very well then tell me if you're doing they're trick or not ^_^
Circle Core is probably the easiest boss in the game besides BCMKII.

because i hate that game and left it for 1 year nearly -_-
if this game was online ... i'll enjoy watching how far you'll get at least on very easy with no death XD
