The card in the game, for the initial English release was just called “Gradius” yep. Even though the card in Japanese properly referred to the ship, not the game. Thanks, either 4Kids or Upper Deck!

Funny to think that Konami to actually do that, put them in to the Yugioh series as Easter Eggs. I guess to test to see if anyone would catch them.
I'm actually trying to get a gradius deck in duel links just to have fun with it. Hard enough in Master duel since gems aren't consistent so yeah.
I have both decks in each game duel links, master duel and physical cards. B.E.S. is a great deck even you can make a good recipe °
This IS Yu-Gi-Oh, BadyBee36, and I was shocked that Gradius/Nemesis is now part of Yu-Gi-Oh lore now, too. Who knew?
It could have been great if Konami make newer Gradius Carts and make a episode full of them

I'm surprised they didn't use Gradius (Vic Viper) + Options or Vic Viper XX03. It would have been awesome. Or they should have added Covered core as well, plus Option hunter BTW. Or, hell, they should have made that episode or battle full of Gradius stuffs.
Vic viper havnt synergy with the b.e.s. core cards... well actually are an strategy but ill try with that in the WCQ 2019 °

I'm trying to build this deck or one similar that incorporates BES and Gradius cards. Any tips or recipe recommendations?
Well, in terms of which B.E.S cards to use, you're going to need Fortress Zelos (the Field Spell) and Boss Rush (the playmaker) to get anything accomplished. Big Core Mk II and III are a must due to Special Summoning themselves, Covered Core only has a 50/50 shot of losing its protective Counters instead of it being guaranteed, and Tetran offers Spell/Trap removal. Because Boss Rush kills off your ability to Normal Summon, I honestly wouldn't recommend the Gradius monsters' inclusion alongside them, because those guys don't SS themselves. Then, Terraforming and Metaverse are ideal. Beyond that, stack yourself with S/T removal- Mystical Space Typhoon, Cosmic Cyclone, maybe a Twin Twisters- and maybe a revival card or two, then the rest is basically tech choices.
Too bad gradius cannot special summon Options token
Gradius have Gradius' option card, and exist the Victory Viper XX03; one of the effects is special summon a token, same lord british space fighter. Actually the 4 ships: vicviper, lord british, jade knight & falchionþ exist in card °
