    ENTJ here - the thing about learning isn't that we do not appreciate being taught or need multiple lessons, but rather a lesson only sticks and remains ingrained in our mind through adversity. It's when we are faced with failure over something that we should know - should being the operative word - and ought to be trivial that our mind flips the switch and combs through the ocean of information we have at our disposal to fix said mistake. To make sure it never happens again. The other thing that occurs concurrently to that is almost akin to pattern recognition. Once we figure out the solution or spot the error, we automatically store that correlation in our brains and henceforth see that mistake every time in the future without fail. Even if there's a sizeable time gap between those two events.
    Great video!

      So basically doesn’t that mean you just do a shit ton of problems and pattern match against the right answer enough times until you learn it?

    • @Zodicus
      @Zodicus 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ABC-jq7ve To put it bluntly, yes. I do the same when it pertains to other instances where all the variables are known beforehand. Basically finding out what's *the* most optimal path for A -> B and applying it nearly automatically in the future.

    Straightforward, authentic in their personal life and they are cute when they get scared of their emotions.ENTJ are never scared, except when they are in love.The more in love they are, the more scared they become

    There was this ESFP girl I worked with. We connected deeply. This connection was so strong for me that I was opening myself up, as an ENTJ I always had hard time with this.
    I falled for this girl and I know I shouldn't have. My intuition was working against me, picking only the patterns that allign with my desires. It was so conflicting and drowning.
    Finally I was able to see things clearer. I distanced myself and keep my guard up in every interaction. It is really devastating. She is a good friend but I am afraid of falling for her again. It is appearent that she is not happy about me putting distance between us. I also feel bad about this but I have to put myself first.
    Well thank you for reading. I needed to vent this out.

    Sometimes it takes me time to “believe” something I am being taught is true. So I will disregard something I was taught two more times. Typically on the third error I will accept that what I was taught is actually “true”. We learn so much in process but also we are testing if in fact it is “true”. Not sure that makes sense. I’m not actually conscious that I am doing this. It could be something as easy as searing meat or writing a paper.
    Also, I need strong reasons to adopt what I am learning. The more pragmatic the reason the quicker I am to adopt the learning. I guess I am paranoid.
    I shock myself how my mind can conjure up the exact information I need while working on something. I don’t know how it happens. Sometimes I feel I’m part robot. 😂

    I really appreciate the reasoning behind cutting the old man off trying to make friends with you because you have no shared interest. You kept it respectful, yet somehow direct and easy to agree with.
    I'm also an ENTJ and I hate shallow relationship mainly because I can't follow them myself. So I'd rather have an attempt with a friendship that didn't work but for a good reason, than have a "friend" that just wanted me as an addition to their already ever growing social circle. I'm down with mingling and making fun social convos, but that doesn't mean I'm automatically your friend and that I'm indebted to your favors.

    I think the reason it seems like we’re using personas is that, in part, we are, but that’s only really because some of us don’t know who we are without them, so we adopt and associate personas with environments, and make adjustments to the personas to adapt. It’s essentially a build-a-bear, but with identity, and a lot more sad in a way. I, myself, am conscious of this everytime I do it, but I honestly don’t know how I couldn’t. I don’t know what there’s left if you were to remove that. I’ve had a few “one things” in my life, but right now, I’m very lost, and missing that one passion project.

    Searching for phone, keys etc... at least twice per week, at least, going to a room and not remembering what for... daily. But I will recall conversations almost like I had a tape recorder. Concerning the kids not applying the taught rules, that is surprising to me, but I see it in my students too regardless of personality types probably. I have to make it an specific assignment for the realization to happen.

    Upon meeting any new individual... I assign them free 100 tokens of trust... And soon enough the number reaches to zero by them showing minor acts of betrayal. But for ENTJs I assign them 100 tokens... They get it to 50, then accidentally 1500 then i start trusting them and lend 3000 which they get back to -1500 and the moment i start distancing myself from them, they get it back to 6000... Then 12000... And the again -5000... ... ... And this shit continues till we die.
    I still don't understand should I keep em or not🤕

      They reciprocate loyalty, provide direct communication, can be extremely generous, show initiative, act as a rational sound board for ideas, and they make you stronger by nature of how they work...... atleast from an INFP perspective.
      I had to do some digging to understand some of the "quirks" but once I understood them the positives out weighed the negatives.

      @@madlynlithasyaI’m an ENTJ woman and is interesting how people describe us, we are honestly fast thinkers so we don’t really pay attention to how we come across mostly to INTP since they act so conveniently kind to us, some of them often quiet but they will show with actions how they feel more than words… it is complex

      @@Manifestingqueenn i’m an intj, but im dating an entj, my brother’s an entj, and my youth leader is an entj. im sorrounded by entjs. the most obvious thing i notice is that you guys dont really try hard since you want to do things in the most efficient way but also unconsciously always provide warm environment for other people if not in stressful situations. i’m not that warm of a person so i really admire that.

    Hey Skimmerlit. I'm stuck between two typings - ENTJ and ISTP. Both fit well. Both make sense considering that I lead with a Thinking Function. Both make sense insofar as my middle functions are highly likely to be a combination of Ni/Se. I exhibit some strong traits of both types, almost falling "in the middle between the archetypal behaviors and motivations of both types." I'm curious of what your thoughts on the matter may be. Thanks!

    • @danniaddams5502
      @danniaddams5502 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am kinda in the same boat as you. I am an ISTP, but I would find some similarities between ENTP/ENTJ, so much so that it had me questioning my MBTI type, but I'm pretty sure I am an ISTP. That's when I looked for Enneagram. Type 5 is most associated with ISTP, but I've been getting either 7w8 (associated with ENTP) or 8w7 (associated with ENTJ). Of those two, I think I am a 7w8, so that would explain why I resonate with ENTP so much. But when I get serious about something, I can see why I would resonate with 8w7.
