So I’ve been using a bunker analogy for my mind state for a long time and I haven’t seen anyone use it until hearing you talk about it. And I think it is the exact same thing as my bunker analogy. It’s not that you can’t see the evil from within it (at least for me). It’s that if you don’t protect this inner kid from the variable of its existence, everything in you dies. My “happy” bunker isn’t happy to me. It’s more the assumption of power rather than an assumption that everything is okay (maybe that’s a Te vs Fe difference?). The capacity to undermine an entire machine by being an important gear that doesn’t move at the right time at the right day. At a certain level of complexity, all machines have a weak point and the Power to do any evil is hinged on those weak points. So For me it is that awareness, that if you know the right things and get in the right spot, you can nuke everything, even for a day. And if you can do that for a day, then 2 people who want to do it can do it for 2 days. And 3 people for 3 days. And you Could do it and get them to do it, if you and them were willing to die. It’s just that you aren’t. It’s not bad enough yet. And it’s worth being honest about that. I take that, in some sense, as my evil. That I don’t devote myself completely to nuking everything. I try to negotiate with the evil to see if one could learn something that could break it open. So that fear of death thing is also the thing stopping my own capacity to nuke. Fear of death is a sin in my bunker Because I’ve already tethered my death, not to suicide but to causing problems for everybody. Now I am aware that even this is just a belief. In reality, one could see that his utter powerlessness is far more apparent. However, that powerlessness is, at the end of the day, in relation to: 1. A Goal 2. An Adversary You might be powerless against an untouchable force or to reach the utopian world. But there are things you are powerfully capable of doing that we have not tried simply because none of the goals related to it have been made active. And those goals are not active because we don’t want to be Evil. So then the belief in a capacity to foster good AND power together - without Nuking everything, rather just the things that should be destroyed - becomes more a necessity assumption that I refuse to let go of because if I do, then I just bomb everyone. Ie, giving up on life means giving up in everything good about it and good about myself. And so you end up not having to be delusional but also not having to be evil. it's like you hols your own soul hostage. Potent, able to see the game, yet determined to do "your part" in cleansing it locally and at scale. Just about every other goal to live a happy life, for me is intimately tied to paying my own moral debt for choosing to live. but because of that i have the opportunity to gamble myself in the name of some more nuance and pointed Good (other than just bombing everything). idk if that makes any sense but this is very close to base layer stuff for me so ive never really had much opportunity to try and explain it. so excuse if it comes off completely incoherent lol This video was well timed for me though. i sunk one more layer deeper in the awareness that we are surrounded by warfare and alone and it was kinda getting to me. But i know for certain that we dont like this state of affairs as humanity and i think that means quite a bit in some incoherent way. at least i think it matters.

Recently started watching your videos. I found your commentary and approach to your demon function very reminiscent of the INTP. It's interesting that your focus on the depth of reasoning as well as looking at multiple angles is (Ti) Dom and (Ne) Auxiliary. You seem well rounded with even lower functions such (Si) and even (Fe) of how you give context of the subject matter. I myself tend to overanalyze these sorts of situations and found this video relatable in this sense. Your (Ti) is very pronounced in this because of the level of introspection, and use of metaphors, and imo, a use of active imagination you used to picture your (Fi). Wanted to point this out because I found this analysis very remarkable and insightful of the shadow function itself. If you haven't already checked out Jungian psychology of the shadow archetype. I would highly recommend it.

This motivation is more common in adolescents and young adults. 3) Disconnect from reality coupled with agitation. This motivation is more common among people with serious mental illness. These are the three most likely explanations according to the relevant (to this situation) SE data I’ve collected thus far in my life. It’s important for me to be able to roughly/quickly assess the odds here (I’d go with age, appearance, and location of the library as the main heuristics) because explanation number 3 might be dangerous, and require further attention or action on my part. This assessment of the situation would happen within a second. If I determine explanation 1 or 2 is most likely, I’d quickly forget about the incident as no further thought or action is needed. If I land on 3, I’m either leaving the area or keeping a close eye on the screamer. If it seems to be some other motivation entirely, I may or may not analyze the situation further. Mostly it would depend on whether I found the incident more interesting than what I was reading. This is how my Ni/Te works.
