I have tried to get my kids into Pink Floyd since they were born. My oldest is 20 now, youngest 10, and they're just not there. You look every bit as happy and proud as I would be. You done good.
Pink Floyd reminds me of my brother … fondly of course!! When I was young girl I used to play my album The Dark Side Of The Moon on a record player every night to fall asleep!! Their music was soothing yet mysterious that relaxed me. 🌘
That's really beautiful! A great memory to have too. I can see why! I used to have a Pink Floyd playlist of favourites to help me sleep too! Hopefully it is soothing to you now just as much 🙂
(S)hine On (Y)ou Crazy (D)iamond In honor of Syd Barrett, the original founder of the band. He was still alive when this song was written, but too gone mentally to still be with them. (“Now there’s a look in your eyes like black holes in the sky.”)
I was almost 21. I took my father to see them at Giants Stadium. Last show ever in America. Played all of Dark Side and I was in heaven. Our seats were very far away but it was awesome. I also saw the indoor arena version of the show where they didn’t play dark side. And it was awesome. Still the biggest spectacle I ever saw.
Good Job Dad, that's the same show I saw. The entire concert is one of a kind phenomenal. I got to meet David and shake both his hands and have a signed album. See you guys again soon.
I've seen them four times and I think I've said that before but I saw them once in 1974, once in 77 in 87 and this 94 Pulse concert tour. I guarantee you one thing, if your son had gone to one of these shows live he would have walked out speechless and he would not be able to help but give every song a 10!! Following that I just don't know if a Pink Floyd concert, their live shows will ever be topped. And I say this from a perspective of vast experience! I've seen around 100 concerts from AC DC to Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, the stones, yes songs, Elton John, Metallica, Van Halen, U2 and I could go on and on. And although a lot of those concerts had incredible great music and I was just blown away, Pink Floyd shows I have to say put all those other concerts in a backseat! I mean they use speakers powerful enough to blow out the Sun but they only turn them up about halfway! And they take those speakers and completely surround the audience which basically puts you inside the music! I wish I could take you guys back in a time machine for that 1977 show!! They played all of "Wish You Were Here" all of "Animals" and half of "Dark Side of the Moon" for their encore!! When the time comes you should at least take him to either Australian Pink Floyd or Brit Floyd when they come to your town!
Wow I don't think I've seen any of those haha! I would have loved to have seen Pink Floyd in action! The more I watch, the more a wish I could go back in time. We have so much more Floyd to upload 😊 and one day we hope to see Brit Floyd 🙏🏼
And I was just going to bed, then I saw the post. I think I can stay up a bit longer for this classic.Throwing me back all those years 🤣🤣 I'm pretty sure David is using active EMG pickups in his red strat. That was sold at the auction a couple of years ago for around $615K. His Black Strat sold at the same auction for around $4 million. Again one of my favourite songs by PF. Put me down for an 11 🤣🤣🤣🤣 He's getting better at his maths 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 he's highly intelligent when he's eaten and had sleep! I love the sound Gilmore has. So I think I'll need to buy some of those pickups! If I only I had 615k 😂
The best way to enjoy this song is to put on headphones, comfortably seated in a dimly lit room with your eyes closed. That's pretty much what you've just done. Well done. P.S. Very nice initiative on your part to display the Ukrainian flag.
☺️🙏🏼 we do totally support Ukraine. We hope the war ends very soon and everyone can find peace! It was an incredible experience seeing this show in this way! The sound was amazing! ☺️
awesomeness...so glad you got to this.... Shine on. I've heard the pickups were what came with the Strat, but the middle one is an add on humbucker and an XLR socket mod. And I'm pretty sure the wahwah bar is shorter than stock
@@XplozoneReacts The pickups are EMG active and you can buy them on a pre loaded pick guard I have them in my Strat. Sound awesome, they are DG20’s. They used them because of the power they thought they would need for the big stadium shows.
Yes, they're active pickups. DG20 EMG's. Mid boost on the rear tone control. Treble and bass boost on the front. I have them (not David's actual ones!) in my Classic Player '50s Strat.
Hey I've been watching a bunch of your videos and stumbled upon the Steve Vai one the other day. I think he'll like Joe Satriani's "Made of Tears" live performance. The audio and video quality is quite crisp too.
@@XplozoneReacts I'm 68 and have seen over 300 concerts from all the greatest bands except The Beatles. Floyd 4 times. Every show was great but the Pulse Tour was exceptional. Do some Supertramp. they are my second favorite live show.
Well The Eagles didn't last long. PS It isn't worth doing The Eagles, they will always hit you, if not straight away then fairly soon. Sad state of affairs really.
Did it play at all? I couldn't get it to play and have submitted a request to let the video play. It's a shame because I thought the eagles were great.

Great reaction - thanks. Try "One of these days" from the same concert ... it's awesome !
Hey there. Oh we definitely will. We'll make our way through the whole concert. This is number 5 in our Pink Floyd playlist 😊
Pink Floyd doesn't create songs, it creates feelings.
We totally agree!!
