Chris taps into his deep creativity, and the industry, thankfully, gets out of his way to let it happen. If only they could let all of the artists do this. The collective catalog of songs would be so much better.
I swear I could listen to Chris talk all day.... he's so inspirational and his words are true.... glad that country music is finally headed back were its suppose to be.... good job Chris keep it up man
Chris is exactly what we needed right now! I have been singin my entire life. And no one has touched me as much as he has. His abilities cannot be matched.
Chris Stapleton is the real deal and to me he's the best country music singer because he is more like the old country music singers like Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash,Travis Tritt .There's just too many to more.Don't get me wrong I love some of the new country music too.Chris is still the No.I in my opinion. Love your singing Chris and you always sing from your heart too like some other singers do. Keep up the great singing Chris and I hope you win many awards at the ACM.in April and I will be cheering for you.lol God bless you and your sweet family.
/I was going to correct myself and say that there was just too many country artist to wife.Tennessee Whiskey is still my favorite song that you sing.Of course I love all of your songs.Congratlulations on all of your accomplishments! From Barbara James-Georgia Girl!
Wow overlook me today!I haven't been feeling well today!Oh Chris I made a mistake and put wife in an area where I was going to say there's too many country artist to name and I accept put wife .I hit the wrong letters and my phone is very sensitive. You can explain the mistake about wife in my comment!Lol Your wife is beautiful and you guys are a nice looking couple
"You're gonna miss me when I'm gone" is hands down my all time favorite Brooks 'N Dunn song, and it's one of the ones sung by Kix. Awesome interview. Stapleton has become my musical bar. So basically I've just been binging on Chris' music because he's virtually untouchable. Keep the songs coming, Chris.
He's miles ahead of what's on any type radio weather it be, Rock ,blues , and especially country radio. Today's country to me is a joke every singer or group sound the same, they sing the same stupid type lyrics. That's why Chris is one of the best out there today. His stuff takes you on a musical and lyric journey that you don't want to end. I really hope he reaches every height he aims for. He deserves it. Oh, I also get to say I played football at Johnson Central High School in paintsville Ky. with Chris back in around 95. He was always one of the best fellers you'd ever meet and he was a very good athlete, but you'd not know him in a million years if you ever see a picture of him from back around that time. He was the polar opposite of his look today. He's a great guy, an amazing talent, a breath fresh air to the music industry, keep up the good work Staplegun.
GREAT INTERVIEW KIX. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT CHRIS STAPLETON ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! AN ACOUSTICS ONLY ALBUM WITH JUST CHRIS & MORGANE'S VOICES WOULD BE SUBLIME AS WELL AS AN INSTANT CLASSIC!!!!!!!
The late Mr.Stapleton had a great ear for talent with the vocal stylings and song writing skills of Allan Jackson and his son… That guitar reminds me of a saying many of our fathers told us… "If it ain't broke don't fix it"...
Kix I love your show. You're hard on yourself about not being good but you bring an X factor that is almost intangible. Your newest work with Ronnie on Damn Drunk shows through in the quality of that track. Chris Stapleton is my favorite artist today and what I think would be amazing would be for you Kix to write a song with Chris. I don't think it matters what you write together it would be a hit.
Chris Smith Seriously, this version could have went on the record. I know it was recorded after the release, but man, this is great. Also, why has this video only been view 1100 times?
What a great interview and performance throughout. Really laid back atmosphere where both seemed so real and honest about what they feel and think about music. Awesome.
I just listened to Tim's version of Whiskey and You. In my opinion Chris's version is much better, I felt the emotion in Chris's voice. it felt real not a production like Tim's.
weird question ...anyboy know what brand and type of blue shirt Chris is wearing? it looks like some lightweight version denim Levi with straight seems down the front and more inside stitching... Levis don't have this though ...they have bold outside stitching and non purely straight perpendicular seems...it does has a red tag that levi have though..i dunno
Best interview I can find . Great host . I don’t listen to much country music. But Stapleton doesn’t miss .
❤The look on Kix's face tells me EXACTLY how he feels about Chris and his singing and songwriting
That's the best thing I've ever heard

Love Chris Stapleton music . From first time I herd his voice with Justin Timberlake that’s first I had herd him . Wow I was hooked .
I swear I could listen to Chris talk all day.... he's so inspirational and his words are true.... glad that country music is finally headed back were its suppose to be.... good job Chris keep it up man
This could be one of the greatest country songs ever written, imho.
Chris is exactly what we needed right now! I have been singin my entire life. And no one has touched me as much as he has. His abilities cannot be matched.
Miles above anything that comes out of Trashville these days. Chris is real country

You can tell that is a very well used and loved guitar..look at the wear on it...
My favorite song of his! He is such a talent! Discovery Travis Meadows and Chris Stapleton has made me believe country's headed in a better direction!
I so agree that taking great songs covered and giving them your own touch .. I do it and I wish more did it.. ! I think Chris is sublime..

this guy is cool...chris the boss.
its about phrasing and keeping your own style..

Sings and plays it liked he lived it... this guy is in the same league as Springsteen.
Springsteen wishes
I had zero clue Kix was friends with Billy Ray Hearn.
salt of the earth as we say in uk.
I know how you feel I lost my dog to Cancer

One of my all time favorite Stapleton songs......not many people can bare their soul through music the way he can....amazing.
