I actually love the fender headstock on acoustic, i think it has a certain vibe to it, plus prefer acoustic guitar and i am in absolutely in love with the look of fenders so it gives me at least some happiness to see them being used on an instrument i like :D
Cool! I was at Flash in Vienna a few years ago. Budapest is great for guitar shopping. You missed a couple of cool ones in Zagreb. Try the Galata tower area in Istanbul. Like one guitar shop next to other. Plenty of second hand gear!
I use those fret board wipes and i really like them i first tried them on a 1920 acoustic i repaired it was extremely dry from hanging in an abandoned home
Man, what a trip! I’ve been to almost all of these cities since I live nearby in Vienna but haven’t seen any of these shops. Sad you missed Klangfarbe though. Flash is definitely a lesser known spot and very cool!!
Aw yeah would loved to have gotten around more of Vienna but it was mostly just a stopover to avoid the huge drive from Croatia back to Czech. Unfortunately by the time we arrived it was already pretty late and I think we were in Flash right before they closed. I got that Dimarzio for silly money though which was cool!
Looks like you guys had an amazing time. A lovely change of pace, was nice to see. Myself my missus and kids frequently travel to Hungary from England by car, this kind of reminded me of this.
Unfortunately, the selection of one-humbucker guitars in offline Budapest music stores is not great. However, I saw a no-humbucker strat here, near Westend.
Love the idea! Super video, currently travelling through Spain and France and also stopping at every store I can find 😅Saw some landmarks I visited recently as well, looks great!
Cool seeing you visiting Croatia as a Croatian myself. It is a beautiful country and our coasts are amazing. There are a few better guitar shops that you could have visited in Zagreb but it was cool nevertheless. I hope you had an amazing time.
Yeah I wish I had taken more time to research them to be honest but we were pushed for time anyway and with that one being right opposite Kaufland it was an easy choice haha. Thanks bud 🙏
@@Giant_Guitars Definitely. Have been playing guitar for a good 20 years now and I've never come across such a great guitar for that price. Fast fretboard. Finishing is mint. Sustain is great. Stays in tune forever. And although I'm a bridge humbucker guy like yourself, the coil split neck pickup sounds just epic. Also, this is the only guitar I own that I haven't changed anything on yet, which might be saying something.
Great video as it lets me know insights of markets around the world. It is a shame that mostly all they sold in shops are Fender/Squire, Ibanez, a few Corts and Boss amps while the region is known for its acoustic tonewoods and there are quite a few good custom makers. Anyway, while you are giving away the guitar, I think it is good to stencil something over the headstock, Giant guitars or something.
Yeah it's interesting to see, most of the big guitar shops are the same story repeated that's why the little second hand ones were my favourites. I'd love to plan a tour out properly next time and visit the boutique makers!
I’ve helped friends move pianos on 2 different occasions and after the last one I swore I wouldn’t be helping move anymore of them. When I picked up on it I felt the pads in my spine compress lol.
I did indeed! I've also heard of some people in the states already pre-ordering them although I don't know how much truth there is to that! You going to get one?
@@Giant_Guitars That's exactly what I figured when you showed what you'd bought. Plus it was a low cost item that you know you'll use eventually. so.. kill um with kindness lol
Amazing concept of a video, as guitar shop employee in Greece myself, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing other countries' shops!
Thanks bud I appreciate that! I hope to visit Greece someday 🙏
That was so nice.
Our beautiful Europe.
Appreciate it bud
Great video. Super relaxing and a nice change of pace! Congrats on a nice vacation!
Appreciate it and thanks bud
Nylon strings can be used to hang parts for painting.
That's not a bad idea, I'm actually going to use my old strings for just that lol never thought about it before
Interesting to see the guitar shops in other countries.
Strings going on a classical guitar?
Glad you and your Mrs. had a nice holiday!
Thanks bud, we did for sure! Nope not a classical 😀
nothing better than looking through a guitar shop.
Exactly!
I misread the title as 6 "Counties"...I was expecting to see you in Harry Baird's.
Haha brilliant
The black Manson you seen @6:40 is a Matt Bellamy signature made under licence by Cort. Only reason I know is because I have one. 😊
Aha thanks mate that's good to know 😁
Forgot evh had strings. curious what you will put them on, also interested in that guitar giveaway
3:43 Absolutely! I'm with you on that one. Oh, and Mrs. G must be a saint. 😇 Looks like a lovely holiday!
Thanks, yeah it was great 😃

Totally fair enough haha
really enjoy this video. felt like gigging from city to city.
Thanks bud, it was fun to make too haha

Yeah unfortunately we were just passing through Zagreb so had to rely on a quick Google search, would love to explore it more

Nice old Supa Fuzz in the secondhand shop. Nice tour, ta.
Thanks bud

Its amazing how the evh striped guitars stand out in music shops
Yeah for sure! There were a few beautiful ones in Croatia that I didn't get to record too
Came here for the builds but this was fun too, thanks for sharing
Thanks for being here, back to the builds this weekend hopefully
Looks like you guys had an amazing time. A lovely change of pace, was nice to see. Myself my missus and kids frequently travel to Hungary from England by car, this kind of reminded me of this.
Yeah it was great! Doing that journey from England sounds amazing, I'd love to try that sometime too
Nice to see you coming to Budapest, glad you had a good time. The Vintage 52 guys are legends around here.
Thanks bud, Vintage 52 was the best place ever haha
Your gonna make a nylon string strat they are awesome I want one
Close
Good to see guitar shops across the globe are still keeping it soulless and intimidating 😆
Glad you had a good vacation Giant family! Looking forward to the the future videos !!!! ❤
Cheers Robert, appreciate it!
06:03, A Starcaster if BilT right can be a wonderful thing!
I'm sure! But it's not the playing I don't like, it's purely a style thing I can't get my head around
Thks for this vid, enjoyed your trip thru your camera lense, really envious since we dont have those cool shops in the midwest states…subscribed..
Thanks bud, glad to share it!
I’ve always wanted to do a guitar store tour. Great vid!
It was fun, next time I'll plan it out rather than just googling as I go!
Unfortunately, the selection of one-humbucker guitars in offline Budapest music stores is not great. However, I saw a no-humbucker strat here, near Westend.
We need more single humbuckers everywhere haha. What was the no humbucker? A yngwie nylon?
Hope you had a great time in Budapest, cheers from Hungary! And you will use the EB nylons for a guitarlele or for fishing
For fishing haha I never thought of that 😂
Love the idea! Super video, currently travelling through Spain and France and also stopping at every store I can find 😅Saw some landmarks I visited recently as well, looks great!
Sounds amazing dude 👌
i love looking at used guitars you can get some realy good deals
Yeah me too 😁 they are the best shops
Nice vacation! Always love to visit candy stores (guitar shops) when travelling. Please dont tell me your using the nylons for fishing...😂😂😂
Haha no definitely not fishing don't worry 😜
Should have bought a Strandberg 😊enjoyed the video
Yeah I would have loved to mate
5:16 those strings might be put on that piano 💯😂
Haha well if I turn the piano into a guitar then technically yes they could be
Acoustic guitar is love ❤ ya electric has their own charms although I have both 😅
I moved to acoustic only for such a long time before going back to electric so I have to love both haha
Thats a very good place to unwind , have a safe trip
Cheers bud
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you bud
Nylons going on the 100£ guitar
Nope 😀
I have a Hagstrom acoustic.... really nice guitar. They are a nice brand.
I didn't even realise they did acoustics 😮

You're building a nylon solid body guitar?
Like a telecaster or a les paul
Pretty solid guesses (pun intended) but it's not quite solid body 😜
@@Giant_Guitars i truly have no idea, my last guess will be a thinline telecaster
11:28 wtf that's beautiful
Best spot we went to, Jadranovo in Croatia - couldn't recommend it enough!
Strings are for a ynwie strat?
Warm
@@Giant_Guitars the ynwie nylon classical strat? With piezo
@@Giant_Guitars are you putting the nylon strings on an acoustisonic strat?
@@jamesmarkham7489your first guess was closer, it's not quite right though 😅
I have one of those green Hagstrom Ultra Max's, such good value for money!
You'd recommend then? I honestly loved it more than anything else I played in that shop

Did those nylon strings get used to tie something together? Lol
Haha, not yet 😂
Nylon ballends have gotta be for a Malmsteen style nylon string Strat with a piezo?
Very close
looks like a great trip!

Nice Trip! Nice Guitars!
Thanks bud, it was a lot of fun!
nice trip sir
Indeed mate 🧉
Pianos got to be on the bottom floor!
Lol true, would be a difficult haul up the stairs

Did you here they are gonna reissue tom delonge starts?
I did indeed! I've also heard of some people in the states already pre-ordering them although I don't know how much truth there is to that! You going to get one?
Not sure buddy depends on what price they are
@@Brad5344 exactly my thoughts and I'm guessing already too much for me haha
Would you do a wiring tutorial video? I have a dimarzio x2n ordered for a build. And am not exactly sure how to wire to a single pot
@@Brad5344 sure, I will do mate
on a piano
Didnt pick up any used guitar strings?
Haha no 😁🤣
@@Giant_Guitars 🤣
That was terrible. I only saw 3 left handed guitars in all of those shops. Sucks being a lefty. Cool video.
It would suck being a leftie, I feel for you dude! I'll do a leftie mod soon haha
Nice tripppp❤
Thanks mate
Looks like a nice vacation. I always have to wonder why some stores don’t like people filming in them.
I'm not sure, was a shame too as they had some really beautiful second hand stuff!
I probably wouldn’t have bought strings at those ones.
